Motorola Droid :: Incredible Disappearing Exchange Account / Stop It To Do So?

Sep 1, 2010

When Froyo came in, I noticed the Exchange calendar became `combined' with the Google calendar. This was a bit alarming, as I don't use the Google calendar and the Exchange account completely disappeared.

I re-setup the Exchange account and spent some time coaxing it to sync the calendar.
Every few days I get a notice that the email service requires a FC and the Exchange account disappears. Start again from Go.

I have Sync turned off, as well as auto app sync. I do not pull mail unless I need it. Calendar and Contacts are set to sync when I turn on Sync. Not sure if this impacts anything but this only started after Froyo. Getting tired of replacing the Exchange acct.

Just wondering if there are any tips or suggestions for using "Touchdown" exchange in place of the Gmail account, especially to avoid getting duplicate msg alerts for new mail?Once set up in Touchdown, should one delete the email account set-up in messaging? Also, I have a second gmail account for personal mail but for now have only setup my work account in Touchdown. Should I do the same for this account in Touchdown - Exchange?

Motorola Droid 2 :: Stuck In Outbox / Exchange Corporate Account

Oct 4, 2010

I have a Droid 2, brand new from Verizon. My company uses Exchange Server 2003 R2. No PIN is required, and OMA is set up for my account. I can receive emails to the phone with no problems; the setup was simple and the messages sync'd to the phone quickly. I can't send, reply, or forward messages. The messages stay in the outbox. The replies I seem to find on this topic online seem to be related to IMAP/POP accounts, and this is neither.

My company's exchange server is similar to mail.company.com/exchange, but when I put in that address, it removes the "/exchange" and it gives me an error saying "Unable to open connection to server". Is there a way around this, or am I stuck without the ability to sync my work email?

HTC Incredible :: Exchange Account Setup - Mail Queued On Server

May 13, 2010

I got my Incredible on April 29th and setup my Exchange email account and was able to send and receive with no problems. Contacts and calendar synced with no problems. Everything was fine for about a week then I noticed I was no longer receiving emails. I could send with no problems and contacts and calendar still synced ok, I just could not get emails using wither WiFi or Verizon's network. I went into the account settings and activesync settings and see an error message that said "error occurred on the computer running the exchange server". Deleting and recreating the account on the Incredible seems to work, but for only about 7-10 days then right back in the same boat. I do not think the phone is the issue as I had a Droid and had the almost identical problem.

On the Droid I did not see the error message but I would stop receiving emails after about a week. I have tried Touchdown and it's almost the same issue, except that the error is something along the lines of "mail queued on the server". Again, removing and reinstalling the account in Touchdown resolves the issue for about another week. I called our corp help desk folks and it was a wasted phone call. All I got from them was we don't support mobile devices via activesync and wouldn't talk about it anymore, so I am leaning toward something on our mail server causing the issue. My only problem with that answer is that we also have other users here with iPhones and Windows mobile devices and they are not having any problems, and they are also connected via activesync.

General :: Exchange 2007 / Activesync / Disappearing Emails?

Jul 5, 2012

Interesting problem that I seem to have had out of the box (and which has started when I traded my old treo in for this android device): emails regularly disappear both from my Note, the exchange server and thus everywhere else as well, without any intervention on my part. My Note notifies me of new email, I glance at the overview, and sometimes no more than a few minutes later, that new email is completely gone.

Another interesting feature that popped up during testing is that emails sent from the device to this very account do appear in the sent items list both on the device and on the exchange server, but *only* at the inbox on the android device. And as with some of the regular incoming emails, these too disappear. As external emails (i.e. sent from for example gmail) thus far seem to stick, I am suspecting an issue with either activesync itself or exchange and activesync, but I can't be sure.

Noticed a few other threads both here and elsewhere about disappearing emails, but most (if not all) of these seem to be about POP3 where part of the default routine is of course deleting from the server. apps at issue:

- Android 2.3.6 and 4.0 (problem stayed after the upgrade)
- Default mail client on both versions (this particular exchange account has thus far proven a bit troublesome to configure with for example k-9 and touchdown)
- Exchange Server 2007 server / activesync

HTC Droid Eris :: Exchange ActiveSync Account

Jun 5, 2010

I previous had email working fine on my Droid Eris with the 2.1 OTA. However today after updating my password, the Exchange ActiveSync account will not work on my phone. It gets past the authentication phase, however it seems to have issues saving the account on my phone. After some research, I have found documented cases of simlar issues on other hardware but not the Eris. Is anyone else having this issue, and what changed? Ive had it working on 2.1 OTA, but it will not work now.In my research I came across the following site, is it legit? It seems kind of sketchy, and I dont have the knowledge to determine if it is harmful or not.

Motorola Droid :: Port Incredible Exchange Support / UI To Droid?

Apr 29, 2010

A buddy at work got an Incredible and he entered email address and PW and everything was set up for him automatically, full email/contacts/calendar sync, PIN lock/wipe set up.I was looking through some of the screen shots of the Incredible Exchange support, and frankly, Exchange support on the Incredible kicks the Droid's a** in this area.Image Gallery: Verizon HTC DROID Incredible; Functions and Applications | ZDNet Photo Gallery I'm impressed. HTC must have done a ton of work in this area, assuming that the basic exchange functionality in 2.1 on the Incredible is the same that comes w/2.1 on the Droid. If that support could be ported to the Droid (either as an entire ROM, or just the exchange support sliced off) that would be amazing.

I've noticed numerous pictures and videos have just disappeared from my phone, ever since I installed 2.2. I thought maybe I had just deleted one video that I noticed was gone, but in looking last night, I found about 14 pictures, and 2 videos were gone. I know I had them before the 2.2 update, and I know most of them were still on my phone a few days after the update, but now are gone. I have not read about this being a problem with 2.2, but maybe others haven't noticed yet, or maybe it's just my phone?

Motorola Droid X :: PSX4DROID And Disappearing Files

Jul 29, 2010

Recently bought a Droid X (first android phone), but i'm a fast learner when it come to tech. bought PSX4DROID and downloaded disk 1-3 of ff7 (I do own the game). already added a bio's bin file also. here are my two questions

1. when I make new folders/transfer files over onto my phone's 16gb SD card, they show up, but as soon as I disconnect it from the computer they disappear. they still show up when I look for them from the phone, but if I plug the phone back in, my SD card is empty, even though the space is still being used. any ideas?

2. PSX4DROID doesn't work when i load up the final fantasy 7 rom. i know this game works because it is all over YouTube. all it shows is a permanent black screen. should i try a new psx bios file? different rom?

I think that maybe the two problems are related to each other, but i have no idea. The card is not a fake, It is the included card that comes with every Droid X. also I have read up on other threads.

I don't have the hide enabled...it's just disappearing. Seems like a glitch.
