I have recently encountered a new issue. From time to time, all my icons disappearing from my screens. I can still scroll through the pages, and bring up my menu drawer, but nothing there. Only new install is the Good News/Weather widget.

Everytime i put my droid into the desktop charger and then remove it later, all of my desktop icons and widgets on all 3 screens dissapear.
2 questions:
1. is there a way to stop this from happening
2. if not, is there an easier way to fix it besides shutting down the phone and restarting it?
Moto droid, not rooted, have aquarium live wallpaper, beutiful widgets large, no launcher or home applications installed.
For some reason today when i go on a website ex. google (applies to other sites as well) i'm not able to click the search button. Also when I text, the cursor dissapears and i cant bring it back until i click out of the message application and come back to it.

I've rebooted the phone and they still won't show. I can't connect to a pc till I get home later tonight.
Is anybody else getting missing internal storage?
This has been happening since I got the phone on launch day. This is my first Android phone so maybe this is supposed to happen. But when I reboot the phone, internal memory disappears.
As a test I didn't install or uninstall any apps, didn't get any updates, nothing. After two days I reset the phone and was at 327 megs of storage. After the reboot I had 320. This has been happening every few days.
I thought it was from installing an app. In one example I had 360 megs, installed an app that brought me to 357, did a reboot after a few mins, and had 354 at startup.
I've tried this on another phone (my girlfriend has one) and she gets the same thing. I've tried wiping my phone just to be sure and same thing.
If i answer a quick text, the message i was replying too disappears. It's becoming a hassle. I liked this feature, but now I've turned it off so that I won't loose any of my texts.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have TabHost with custom ListView implemented. My ListView disappears after returning from SMS screen when I try to switch tab (refresh list content).
I have context menu option to send SMS to contact from the list, I start SMS activity there and Im able to return to my app. If I don't type anything in SMS screen, just return immediately everything is fine. List will work. If I type something in SMS and press back key, toast will be displayed: "Your message is saved in Drafts". And now if try to switch tabs, list content disappears.
Debugging revealed that list items are present, and that list adapter constructor is called. However, listAdapters GetView function is never called. And list results are not displayed.

my ListView widget has no special properties, just width and height to fit parent.
M Droid X I have and guess everybody else has it to (GPS) icon. My question is if I leave it on do I have a monthly service for this, or is this free from Verizon. I use it a lot when I use the places icon to find stores etc. Then hit get directions and it uses google maps and act as a GPS giving me direction to the place I picked. And another question if that is the case everything that was loaded on the Droid X comes free with no service charge!

I am going to try a fix permission, but the RAB and LAB show next to the home button, but I can't drag any icons into the spaces allocated for them. The far left and far right are fine, but those are not technically the action buttons.
I just went from 2.2 leak to 2.1 and then to OTA 2.2.
When I got to 2.2 OTA, I did Titanium "restore all apps with data" (not the option with "all system data").
Now, I have a sync icon in my notification bar that won't go away.
In settings->accounts, I have no accounts at all set to sync (I even unchecked my google contacts and calendar).
I already did one system format (because the first time I restored with titanium I restored system data too and saw in some other threads that could be a cause). After the system restore, but before titanium, I wasn't getting the sync icon.
I can't not use titanium to restore or it'd be a huge task to get things back to the way they were.
i installed 2.1 rom adamz's smoked glass v6.0.1 and now my email icon is gone? i need that because that's how i get notifications for my college email. can anyone help me get it back?

That said, I'd like to continue to use the Messaging icon, AND the wording Messaging for the icon. Can these be changed? Rename the shortcut, and change the icon of the shortcut?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just wanted to point out a feature I discovered today. LauncherPro has the option to have 5 rows of apps and widgets on each home screen rather than the default 4. On the huge Droid X screen, this looks amazing and does not look over-crowded at all. Though it doesn't look good in landscape mode, but I don't care about that for my home screen.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a strange problem. I have my GPS turned off, yet the gps icon on the status bar is still on. What's up with that? I verified that the GPS was off in Settings. I turned it on (sucessfully) and then off again (verified) and yet the icon is still being displayed. Rather strange. I'll try a power cycle to see if that changes it.[It is gone after a power cycle. I don't know when it showed up. Perhaps after updating Google Maps tonight].

I downloaded an imagine off Google picasa, it was successful, I cleared it, now every day the icon will appear with the same file name only a different time. I just got a Droid 2 yesterday and so far this forum has been extremely helpful, thanks. Yesterday, I downloaded the free Yahoo Mail app. On the top of the screen, I seen a little Yahoo icon that indicates new messages. How do I get to them? I thought there would be a button with all of the other apps that came pre-loaded, but there doesn't seem to be anything for Yahoo. I've just been going to the browser button and getting to Yahoo from there... is that the only way?
