I have a voice mail from my son I've been re-saving for a couple of years now and was wondering is there anyway I can save to my droid. If I could save it is a wav file or some other format I could then move it to my comp to keep forever.

I had my setting in VVM set to save VM to "internal". BUT, then when I had to call into my VM to listen to some VM (read why elsewhere) I erased many off my VM and guess what... it deleted them off my VVM. I did not expect that. If setting your VVM to save to "internal" would we not just assume it is saving them to the SD card so deleting them off your VZW VM should not alter your VVM as they should be "internal". But that is not how it worked.. so what the heck is the diff between "internal" and "external"?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI changed the voice mail number from *86 (version default) to my Google voice number. This works when I am not answering the phone and I the caller gets connected to my GV account. But when my phone is not in coverage the caller gets my version voice mail. Appreciate if someone can correct my settings or suggest any app that does it. I am from Windows mobile world and missing those settings when you can define several settings for voice mail (unanswered, rejected, unavailable etc...)

One quick question: when I try to check my voice mail and it ask me to type in password and hit pound button for some reason when I hit dial pad it flashes on and off and doesn't let me keep it on to punch in my password. Any thoughts on how I can fix that. When I notice I have a voice mail I swipe the notification bar and dial voice mail that way.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI don't know if this is just a cell phone thing because my last phone on Sprint did it too. But when I call in to my voice mail and hear the female voice of the menu system, she is very scratchy. It doesn't matter what volume level I am at either, it's almost as if the sound quality of the VM system is just extremely poor.When I use my Droid speaker for other things I don't hear this at all. I watched several movie trailers in high quality on YouTube and turned the volume to max and it was as clear (and loud) as I could ever hope.So has anyone else noticed this?I wonder why this occurs?
View 2 Replies View RelatedDon't know much about ROMS, kernels, etc but I managed to root my Droid last week thanks to theoverclockr instructions. I took it from stock 2.1 back to 2.0.1 via RSDlite, to 2.1 rooted, loaded the Android 2.2 and the 1.2 ghz kernal. Works great.
Here's where my questions start:
Everyone talks about Bugless Beast like its the best thing ever so I want to try it. I assume I can install that at my current state and not lose everything plus still be running 2.2 froyo?
I am guessing this is how I do it, please tell me if I am correct or not -
1. Turn my phone on in recovery, select android, then backup.
2. Download Clockwork Mod
3. Chose Flash ClockworkMod Recovery
4. Download BB4 and save it to the root of my SD card
5. Restart phone in recovert, select Wipe data/factory reset
6. Select Wipe cache partition
7. Install zip BB from sd card
8. Reboot
Now, IF that goes right, I am assuming I will still have everything, apps, etc from before just a different Rom? Whats the exact difference anyway between stock 2.2 Froyo and BB4?
If that goes wrong, I assume I restore my backup? I'm guessing you do that through recovery too?
Question #2 - What is the battery widget/app that everyone has on here that still displays your battery in the status bar but has a number % of charge in the battery?
Question #3 - Can anyone give me a simple guide on how to remove Facebook, Twitter and Visual Voice Mail. I see everyone talking about tying in commands, removing this and that but I have no idea what program to use to do this, where to do it, etc.
Question #4 - With SetCPU, it looks like with my 1.2 ghz kernel, I can underclock it back to 600 or whatever I want? I am also assuming that I can have the min and max at 1200000 and have it super fast but a battery hog?
Question #5 - Where do I get this benchmark/quadrant score everyone talks about to see how my phone stacks up to everyone elses?
Is there an app out there that allows me to assign different ringtone for different events like SMS, mail, voice mail....etc. is there a way to modify the XML file for this? currently there is only ONE notification sound for all events.

Facebook, Messing, or Browseing the web, I miss incoming calls, the caller (WIFE and others) goes directly to my voice mail, I have checked to see it the check box in the contacts section is check or not (the one that tells the contact to go to VM), and it is UNCHECKED, yet calls still goto VM, the even go to VM after i am done surfen or Texting, is there some way to tell the phone or a check box that i can check to accept all incoming calls no mater what i am doing, i have even called CS to see if CALL FWDing got turned on some how, they told me nope!

View 2 Replies View RelatedFirst off I've got to say the 2.1 upgrade really improved my phone's speed and completely fixed the dialer lag I used to have. I'm very satisfied. My only issues are 2 small problems: 1. My ring tone (same as before upgrade) fades if I pick up the phone to answer it....if I leave the phone on the counter it plays normally. 2. Where is the "send call to voice mail" option? I don't get that option anymore when saving a call to contacts.
View 2 Replies View RelatedOne day about 3 weeks ago I missed a few calls from a friend because the phone did not ring.I had a special ringtone assigned to the person, so I checked to see if there was something wrong with the person's Contacts entry that would make the phone not ring.When I looked, the box was checked where it says "Send calls directly to voicemail".I know that I never checked that box intentionally, so I unchecked it.That was about 3 weeks ago.Yesterday the same person called 3 times and the phone never rang, so I looked at the Contacts entry again and, sure enough, the box was checked again!I carry my phone in a holster on my belt, so it can't be that the box was inadvertently checked by the phone moving around in my pocket.Has anyone else had this experience?

The screen stayed completely black when I took it off my ear when I was supposed to put my password in to get my VM. I had to wait for the call to end before I could operate any buttons at all.
View 5 Replies View RelatedSo you decide that you want to add your password to your voice-mail on your eris, this is helpful especially with the proximity sensor, as it appears to disable the screen for a couple of seconds when listening for please enter password.So you input your password for your voice-mail on your phone and now when someone call and leaves a message, it shows on the bottom of the lock screen you have a new message and *86ppXXXX# and your password.Anyone know how to hide the voice-mail password from showing on the lock screen?

I am able to send e-mail from the phone.The funny thing is that if I check my email from my PC and empty any e-mail's that are in my inbox, then try to check for new e-mail's with my DroidX (knowing that there are none) I do not get any errors.The errors only occur when there are e-mails in my inbox.Didn't have any problems with this setup with the incredible.

I don't want to forward my mail to gmail nor do I want to switch everything over.
