I have a droid x and cannot get the gmail calendar to sync with my android calendar. Can use the mobile web version but not the phone calendar so thus i am not getting reminders, etc. Already installed the google outlook calendar sync app but that is still not linking my gmail calendar to my phone.

I have two gmail accounts. My primary works find on my DX. I have shared my second calendar with my primary and my appointments for both show up fine online, and in my DX calendar list, it says my second calendar is on there, but nothing is showing up. I've tried adding new appointments both on device and computer, but they don't sync for that calendar.
Am I missing something? Or does anyone know of a calendar app that will sync with a second gmail calendar?
Could someone give me step by step directions to sync my yahoo calendar to gmail calendar. I just bought the new Droid X from a Blackberry. So much to learn!

View 3 Replies View RelatedIdeally I would lie my work meetings to pop-up in the calendar on my droid.I cannot install google calendar at work thanks to a picky IT department.So, what I have done, is forward my emails/appointments to a secondary gmail i created for work use, that i can then sync on my personal laptop.my problem is that, my phone was setup using my primary(personal)gmail and the calendar program will not let you add a different email other than the one they setup for me when i created the phone.how can I change the primary email on my phone to the one i set up for work so I can sync that one with the calendar.

And I configure the username and pwd from DevTools->Google Service Login successfully. Now I can start the Calendar app successfully, with the month view/week view/etc. But I don't know how to sync the calendars or events with Google Calendar service. I am trialing gcal because at some point i might switch to gmail and gcal completely from outlook/yahoo. All entries that i input in gcal sync to my phone fine but any new entries that i input into my phone do not sync to gcal. I have checked sync settings on my Desire are turned on for calendar and contacts. Syncing via mobile web instead of wifi. All previous calendar items have syncd to gcal but any new items that i put into my desire calendar don't sync to gcal or vice versa. I also can't get any of my contacts from my desire to sync to gmail webclient. (this is the first time im starting to use it for email instead of just android market).

I don't have Outlook so I'm looking for another way to do this. Making your events on your phone can be tedious so it's just easier for me to put them in Gmail calendar.

Is there a way to get the calendar events to show up on my google calendar? I use calendar pro which I love. I don't know if there is a work around or I am just not knowledgable enough to understand it. A for instance would be that my work email gives me an event or invite...it will show up on the phones calendar but not on my google calendar/events. (my google notification each morning may say "no events scheduled for the day" but phone calendar/calendar pro will show it)

Have successfully imported my old calendar to Google Calendar which initially synced with the calendar on my captivate. However, when I add a new event to my phone calendar, it does not automatically show up on the Google calendar. the Samsung rep told me I have to edit each new even to mark it as a "Google Calendar". Is there any way to make this the default option on the Captivate phone? I am hoping to have automatic syncronization b/t the phone and the Google calendar without having to force it to do so each time.

I would REALLY like to have my Outlook calendar (at minimum) pushed/synchronized to my phone. Is there an app or a way to configure this to work? Right now I am using the Outlook Web Mobile app for my email and I can view my calendar there but I would like schedule/calendar all in one place.

My old calendar had individual pop ups for each event, the pop up allowed you to open/snooze/ or dismiss each item individually. Also my old calendar had no trouble syncing my gmail and facebook calendars. Android seems to have trouble doing this seemingly simple task. Is there an app or special calendar that can do this?
