Motorola Droid :: East Coast US / GPS Errors
May 31, 2010GPS will not connect at all this morning. Foursquare thinks I'm in Ontario, but I'm in Virginia.Anybody else having issues? Bright sunshiny day here, but no GPS.

HTC EVO 4G :: 4G / Live In East Orlando
Aug 5, 2010I live off Old Winter Garden and Apopka Vineland and I was outside working on my car and noticed I had two bars of 4G on my phone.Awesome! I used the Speedtest.net app and tested at 2264k down and 886k up.I left it on and drove down to the WalMart by Health Central and picked up 3 bars briefly but didn't test the speed.What's sad though is I only get one bar of cell service in my house. I'll test out 4G inside when I get home.

Sep 30, 2010I am on the Froyo OTA and I rooted my phone (can't find the thread I used for that). I then started with titanium backup, got that bootstrapper and did a full backup and then tried to deodex my phone from this link (xUltimate). I kept getting errors on one of the steps and ran their little utility called Test.exe and it said my phone was already deodexed. So I thought maybe that happened when I rooted the phone. I then went to try install a theme that I liked, but I got an error so I had to recover. So I tried another one that was supposed to just make the top bar dark, had to recover. I then installed this one and it worked thought the text on the bar is not white and in the thread someone else had the same issue and was told that their phone is not deodex'd. So I guess my basic question is how can I tell if I am or not?

Apr 4, 2010I just flashed the new Cyanogen but I'm having trouble mounting now. Whenever I try to move a file over it gets stuck, and when my display goes to sleep it won't wake up unless I pull the battery. Is this a ROM problem or something else? It was working fine a few days ago.

Nov 13, 2009I have the google search with voice command widget on my home page. I learned how to work it really well. From it I can search maps, get flight info, etc. It has worked amazingly well. The past two days though, I have been getting connection errors more often than it works. Any ideas as to why its doing this all of a sudden?

Apr 27, 2010I was using Fab's NexTheme R2 and updated to R3 without formatting and figured it would be fine, and it was for a while but then started to get laggy. So I decided to backup my apps with titanium and update to R3 from fresh, formatting DATA, SYSTEM, and CACHE.
Well when I restored my apps not all of them did. So I verified my backups and there were errors. Luckily I had an R2 nandroid backup so I went to that and updated to R3 again as before.
But I would still like to install R3 fresh but every time I run Titanium Backup and then verify my apps they all or most atleast come up saying there was an error. I clicked the "problems?" button and busybox should be ok so idk what to do.
Motorola Droid X :: Errors With Ringdroid After 2.2 / No Notifications
Sep 25, 2010I was having issues with ringtones and notifications, they just weren't working after 2.2. I was getting the wrong ringtone for certain people and no notification ringtones at all. So today I go into ringdroid to edit some of the ringtones and now ringdroid wont work. I click to edit a tone and I get error reading file on any file i click on. 2.2 is REALLY annoying me about now!! I'm thinking of doing a factory reset. Anyone else having issues with ringdroid?

I can't send a text message, and whenever I attempt to send a message, it simply comes back saying "Message Not Sent". It is highly frustrating.I have been into the Phone Information, under Testing, and it says that my GSM Disconnects is inactive, and the fail is because No Error. Jul 14, 2010I'm simply trying to download the SDK for rooting/unrooting purposes, not to develop apps with Eclipse, etc. I've downloaded the USB drivers package in the SDK, but when I right click 'My Computer,' go to 'Properties' and go to Hardware, etc, etc, I do not get a yellow exclamation or any other icon next to my phone. Yes, USB Debugging is enabled. So, without the SDK, I cannot download Amon's Recovery Image, etc.

Nov 26, 2009I'm going to post this in the Motorola droid forum as well.I have searched all over and even read the user manual for my wife's droid eris. I have a Motorola droid and I cant send pictures to her or vice versa. When I try to pair the bluetooths,I get a dialogue box that asks for a PIN,so as it suggests, i tried 0000 and 1234.It says on my Moto droid, cant connect with Eris and on my eris it says, paired but not connected. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.I am merely trying to send pictures and media back and forth between the two phones.
Problem No. 2
We both have the BUMP application where yo can bump info between the two phones. Well as the instructions suggest,I open bump on both phones and bump them. When i do this, it says "Please Bump Again" and then at the bottom it says "you were the only person that bumped" ON BOTH PHONES it says this.What is the problem here? I cant find any help on this,even on their website.
Android :: Getting Errors Building Droid Project With Ant / Way To Avoid This?
Jun 15, 2010Now that I sort of know my way around the SDK/API, I've switched from Eclipse back to my favorite text editor, which means I have to use ant to build my project, however:
It seems every other time I compile the project, a lot of drawables get corrupted, resources lose their ids (resulting in NPEs in the code), or classes throw "Verify Errors".
The only way to fix this is by removing the bin and gen folders, and recompiling, which is obviously annoying.
Is there any way to avoid this?
btw, I'm using ant 1.7.1, java version "1.6.0_20"
HTC Droid Eris : Landscape Screen Dim Outside / 2.1 Keyboard Errors
May 24, 2010When outside or in the car, the landscape brightness of my Eris is rather dim making viewing difficult but when I switch back to the portrait view the screen is of normal brightness. Inside, switching from portrait to landscape viewing is not an issue. This was happening while on 1.5 as well. I have looked and played around with settings but can not seem to find a solution. Any suggestions?Another quirk, that arose with 2.1, is the keyboard. It seems to easily go to all caps, numbers, or exits with the slightest variance off of the A, M or the space key. My daughter's Eris is having the same issue with the keyboard. Any suggestions for a better keyboard?Eris is my first smart phone and I am loving the experience.

Mar 6, 2010I've had my cliq about a month now, and I love the phone! it's perfect for my needs, but im having alot of issues with it.
1: Sometimes my phone will sometimes just ignore a phone call. I'll receive it, it will ring for literally half a second, then the call will stop and will show as a missed call. This used to happen on my RAZR, too, so I think it's more a T-mobile issue than the phone.
2: My CLIQ keeps combining, moving, or changing my contacts. For example: A few weeks ago, I added my new bosses' phone number, labeled him as my boss, and then went about my business. Later that day, I was texting a friend, only to find out that her Phonenumber/information had meen stored under my new boss' name!
Another similar Issue, I added 2 people: A new friend's cell, My boss' cell, and my boss' office (all under seperate contacts). Then later that day, suddenly my friend's contact information is merged in with another friend's, and my mom's text messages are coming in under my boss's office information! (Needless to say, I was VERY confused to receive a text saying that he loved me)
3: Sometimes the phone is super slow/crashy. I get a lot of "this program is taking too long. would you like to close it?" Messages. I make use of advanced task Killer to kill off apps i'm not using from the background (Games, Facebook, ect) Why is my phone always so slow?
LG Eve : Unlocked But Having Errors
Dec 23, 2009I unlocked my LG Eve this morning so I can use my TELUS SIM card, and it is working but there are some issues I'm having.Only the basic phone and text messaging are working.I have no internet access, and I think it may be because the phone is showing that my network connection is a Roaming connection, although I am on the TELUS UMTS network.Any ideas what's going on?

Sep 25, 2010I have created four tabs with listview in each. I have been attempting to make the list views clickable, I have used the listview tutorial from Here to create the list view using string.xml and R.array:
The problem is when I use my intent and onItemClickListener I get multiple marker errors, if I play around with the commas brackets and class body markers the errors move around, so is it the syntax that's the problem or is it the lay out or postion of the code;

Android :: OOM Errors During Inflation
Mar 31, 2009All of sudden I am seeing oddball OMM errors when inflating view trees.
The allocations are from really small (couple of K) to fairly large (couple of hundered K).
But ddms says the heap is only half full and there's around 2MB available. The app does not appear to be leaking.
What should I be checking?

Jun 23, 2010Quick question when using Clockworkmod. It installed correctly using the downloaded exe. Program ran through to done. I boot up as normally into recovery leaving me at the Clockworkmod Recovery screen. From there, I open cmd and try to remove my various apps but i get errors.
What I enter:
