View 8 RepliesI've searched the entire internet trying to find a way to take the pictures I've made for a Better Keyboard skin and convert them into an .apk file, but no luck.
I don't want to send them to someone to do it for me, because I like to test it every so often to see what needs to be worked on.
So if anyone could tell meskins (clock and weather) not change after selecting and applying them?,
Ok so I know you can make your own skins in Better Keyboard and change the buttons around to your liking. As shown here on the Gum and Oil Slick skins respectively. My question is can I put a button there that access the Settings of Better Keyboard, specifically toggles the "Muli-Tap" setting. Alternatively I would be curious if a button like the one in the bottom "?123" could be changed to say bring up the full Qwerty when in Compact Qwerty, or even vice-versa.
View 1 Replies View Relatedis there a better keyboard skin that only has one character on each button. love better keyboard...but hate the "loud" and confused look of having a letter with a symbol above it.

Does anyone know where I can find the keyboard protective skin/cover that comes with the Moment? I think it does a great job of protecting the keyboard but I've had mine long enough that it has begun to peel off. But I can't seem to find it anywhere online for purchase.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I chose to get a Phantom Skinz after reading the reviews. My older Droid was having major reboot issues, so I just exchanged it 3 days ago. Once I determined this new Droid had no glaring issues, it was off to install my phantom...Took 1.5 hours. Wasn't thrilled at the way the corners worked, but it was doable. HOWEVER, when I went to take the dog out and bent over to pick up a ball to throw for him, the once-sticky droid (now slick with the full body skinz), slipped right out of my hoodie pocket. OF COURSE the only place that was scratched was the 1mm of bezel that is not covered by the strangely-engineered top/corner cover. Kinda ticked that I wasted, 1.5 hours, only to make my phone slick enough to fall and have it scratched where the "full body" cover didn't cover.
View 11 Replies View Relatedokay my driod is getting harder and harder to slide open. i noticed on the back of the phone when its slid open you can see a plastic film. the clear film began to bubble and i thought thats what was causing the slide to not open smoothly. i took off the plastic and its opening nicer. i think maybe if i clean and lube gentally the tracks it might work great again.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have purchased the apps "Open Home" and "Better Keyboard" for my Droid and love them both. The only thing that i cant figure out is how to hide all the icons in my pull up menu. I have downloaded multiple skins and the icons are all over my pull up menu and i dont need to see them. is there any way to hide them. If not i can get over it but it would be nice not to have to look at them all the time. any help would be much appreciated.

Just wondering if anyone has tried the otter box case for the droid over a phantomskinz or invisible shield skin. I want to get the otter box but I might not always want it on so I wanted to put it over my skin that is already on the phone.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm about to switch to droid finally and i want to know if you can remove the skin and make it the original google skin because I don't want to wait 1-2 months to use new software after each new android update.

Dev = ne0fhyk from XDA.
From the XDA forum: Link to app page = [APP][ROOT/Keyboard] Keyboard Manager - Dual keyboard: Portrait/landscape switch - xda-developers
Verbage:
Keyboard Manager allows you to customize what keyboard (input method) appear on input based on your phone orientation.
It displays the keyboards you have enabled on your android device, and let you select one per orientation (landscape/portrait).
As your phone switch orientation, the app automatically switch the keyboard.
Requirements:
- Rooted android device (app was tested on Samsung captivate 2.1)
- Root Explorer app, or similar app that allows you to edit the permissions of a file.
To install:
1- Download the app (KeyboardManager.apk) on your device sdcard.
2- Using Root Explorer, move the apk file to /system/app
3- Using Root Explorer, edit the file permissions like below:
-- User: 'Read/Write' checked
--Group: 'Read' checked
--Others: 'Read' checked
4- Exit Root Explorer
The app should be visible in your launcher as 'Keyboard Manager'
Update:
- Added option to disable notification icon
-' start on boot' feature is disabled because it's not yet complete and tested... Sorry for the confusion
Bugs:
-On certain applications (i.e: Messaging on Samsung Captivate), the input window occasionally freeze on orientation switch. Exiting the app, and resuming should fix it.
The app is still in development.
Do you like the skins (Htc sense) that are on some Android phones, or do you like the base Android install?
View 1 Replies View RelatedJust wondering if the phone fits in the car or home docks with a full body skin such as Zagg, Phantom Skinz, or Bodyguardz installed?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just downloaded this, and really like the sense-like look, but can't find where and how to choose a different skin for the flip clock and calendar widget? Default is nice, but I'd like to tweak it just a tad, and it says it's skinnable.I just haven't figured out how.well, as usual, as soon as I posted I went back and played with it some more, and it looks like you have to configure it as an app, then install the widget. Correct?
View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter trying a few of the clip on cases, I hated how they ALL affected the smoothness on the slide out keyboard. If you look closely to whats happening, they force the sliding motion to happen at an awkward angle which causes resistance and I am sure is not good over time. Anyway, after no real satisfaction, I am just going to stick with the verizon screen protector and naked everywhere else.

View 1 Replies View RelatedDont get me wrong, the QWERTY keyboard is sick, and I love it. But after typing on the keyboard for while, I wanted to switch it up, so I tried the on screen key pad. And to my surprise, the on screen keyboard appears to be much quicker than using the QWERTY!

View 4 Replies View RelatedI don't like the fact that dust and crap gets on my phone case every time I put it in my pocket. I'm using the standard case the phone came with from Verizon. I was wondering if there's any case that is like the rubber one, but without the constant need to blow of the dust and lint that attaches itself to the phone Not sure if this is the same. I know it's a jelly case, but I haven't the slightest idea what the differences are between that and the one I have. YouTube - Amzer Screen Shield Installation On HTC Droid Eris
