Apr 5, 2010I had uninstalled the Weather Widgets app with the HTC style flip clock because I had falsely believed it was causing some FC crashed on my Droid. When I re-installed it, it appears that the flip clock now defaults to a transparent backing with white lettering. Is there any way to get it back to plain white with black lettering? I haven't installed any extras...just the default. Attached is a screen cap of what the flip clock looks like now. I want to get it back to the traditional HTC style flip clock look. Any ideas?

Dec 7, 2009I was wondering if anyone has had the notification icon for weather from Beautiful Widgets disappear? I love the look and animations of the Beautiful Widgets with GDE and I also have the White Hero Theme - looks great. But now there is no Icon for beautiful widgets in the notification bar, even after I switched the setting numerous times.

I can download weather / clock skins, but when i click apply it doesn't seem to apply them. I am stuck with the default skin, even though i have downloaded and installed several other skins. I have tried deleting and re-adding the widget, but it still is stuck with the default skin.
Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Apr 12, 2010I just thought that I would share the differences with my home screen between sense and helix. The bottom bar on helix is perfect, and can be used to change the default dialer and still have it 'stuck' on the bottom. Helix gives you a lot of space to clean up, and you can add/remove screens and get rid of clutter. If your a freak about the layout of your phone, like me, you should really give helix a try.
The only thing I miss is the HTC animated weather widget, is there any way it could be ported over?
They obviously use a different source for the actual weather information, but I don't think the HTC weather widget is that integrated into sense that it wouldn't work on helix...Can anyone explain why it doesn't (or so far hasn't been ported)?

Apr 20, 2010Seriously Android drives me nuts. On a daily basis I will toggle between 4 different home screens, 3 different music players, 4 different internet browsers various wallpapers, various weather widgets. I'm sure if I was able to settle one having the same layout on a daily basis I wouldn't be charging my phone 2 times a day.

Dec 18, 2009So I chose to get a Phantom Skinz after reading the reviews. My older Droid was having major reboot issues, so I just exchanged it 3 days ago. Once I determined this new Droid had no glaring issues, it was off to install my phantom...Took 1.5 hours. Wasn't thrilled at the way the corners worked, but it was doable. HOWEVER, when I went to take the dog out and bent over to pick up a ball to throw for him, the once-sticky droid (now slick with the full body skinz), slipped right out of my hoodie pocket. OF COURSE the only place that was scratched was the 1mm of bezel that is not covered by the strangely-engineered top/corner cover. Kinda ticked that I wasted, 1.5 hours, only to make my phone slick enough to fall and have it scratched where the "full body" cover didn't cover.

Mar 29, 2010okay my driod is getting harder and harder to slide open. i noticed on the back of the phone when its slid open you can see a plastic film. the clear film began to bubble and i thought thats what was causing the slide to not open smoothly. i took off the plastic and its opening nicer. i think maybe if i clean and lube gentally the tracks it might work great again.

Dec 19, 2009I have purchased the apps "Open Home" and "Better Keyboard" for my Droid and love them both. The only thing that i cant figure out is how to hide all the icons in my pull up menu. I have downloaded multiple skins and the icons are all over my pull up menu and i dont need to see them. is there any way to hide them. If not i can get over it but it would be nice not to have to look at them all the time. any help would be much appreciated.

Nov 14, 2009After trying a few of the clip on cases, I hated how they ALL affected the smoothness on the slide out keyboard. If you look closely to whats happening, they force the sliding motion to happen at an awkward angle which causes resistance and I am sure is not good over time. Anyway, after no real satisfaction, I am just going to stick with the verizon screen protector and naked everywhere else.

Jul 26, 2010I just installed BW along with launcherpro...and while I do enjoy launcherpro, BW sucks because the weather is like 20 degrees off and no matter what I do, it stays that way. Basically, nothing I've seen is better than HTC Sense weather clock.Are there any GOOD alternatives to BW that includes a clock and weather animations or at least a good weather/clock combination?

I recently purchased Beautiful Widgets.
It has been raining hard all day, and even with GPS update activated, it said it was cloudy all day and it seemed to be about 4-5 degrees off every other site.

Jan 13, 2010On the homescreen...no weather picture. If I open up the weather, there is no big picture the thre small ones on the bottom for the forcast show pics. I read some older posts that show problems similar with the problem being googles weather service. I have tried using just the zipcode...Just the use local...nothing makes it show the weather pic.
