View 2 RepliesI use the media dock as a car dock. How do I un install the media dock app? I do not want it switching when docked (not even to the car dock, if there was a way to reverse them).
View 15 Replies View RelatedThis weather thing with the media dock is getting frustrating. It worked again last night and early this morning but now it is down again. Maybe it is my problem this time, is anyone else having problems today?
View 8 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to default the sounds to silent while in the media dock? I'd like it to not update me on notifications like face book updates and emails in the middle of the night.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe instructions are totally useless.
First problem is that when I hit the picture button I only get 1 picture?? I touch the screen and it does not even show arrows to scroll? I actually thought it would do a little slide show when you hit the picture button? When I hit the menu button all I get is the "share" option. Also my hard case I got from Verizon does not fit in the dock unless you take the back off. I have been reading posts that other people have the same problem Just gonna be a pain taking the back off every night! Then I gotta figure out the brightness issues it seems most are having. But I can't figure out what use the picture button is if it only shows 1 pic?
It was for me just found "night clock" looks great. can't wait to try it out tonight.
View 49 Replies View RelatedAt night when using the multi-media dock, I find that even using the "dimmer" of the two screen brightness options for the dock, it is still WAY too bright, and I don't think it's just the light from the 4 buttons. Any app out there or other solution to this without rooting the phone?
View 3 Replies View RelatedAnyone found out how you can dim the 4 buttons when your droid is in media dock? I know that they are controlled by the light sensor, and light up when in darkness. Anyway to stop the light sensor? I have tried the brightness, it is set at none, still the little 4 buttons light up as soon as it gets dark. Dim the screen and still can read by the buttons. Why have a dimmer that only dims the screen?
View 5 Replies View RelatedHas anyone found a way to automatically change the volume settings when plugged into the media dock? I hate getting notifications of every email while I am asleep but I still need to get phone calls and text messages for work. On my Blackberry I could change my preset volume settings by pushing one button. So far on the Droid I have not figured it out yet.
View 4 Replies View RelatedThree Droids in the family, had for approx 1 month, with no real battery problems other than drain with GPS use. Battery usage extremely predictable. Until yesterday. Day before yesterday, wife's phone reported battery charge of ~30% after being on media dock charger all night. Figured it was a connection glitch of some kind. Happened again today, then while I was looking at the phone, battery went from ~20% to 100%. Now seemed more like a status reading problem. Picked up my phone from its media dock - a different one - and surprise surprise, it too was reading ~30% after being on dock charging all night.
(Yes, we have power and the docks are plugged in.) Powering down phone doesn't reset status, still reads ~30%.
Who has the media dock from Motorola and what is your opinion of it? Does it charge the phone as well?
View 27 Replies View RelatedI've got the new 2.2 firmware and I hate the look of the revised clock app. Is there any way to re-download the media dock clock app from 2.1? The red/blue wavy colored backgrounds and the reflected numbers of the clock at the bottom used to look awesome - like a fancy alarm clock, but now with the wallpaper showing through it just looks like a widget overlaid over my normal phone apps. Not to mention I can't find a way to disable to screen saver and have to tap the screen every time I want to check the weather. Makes we wish I hadn't paid for the dock at all now.

I recently bought a Vodafone HTC Magic in Australia (and am loving it and the Android OS ).
I also bought myself two adapters for it, one was a cheap one which plugs into the usb port and just becomes a 3.5mm plug (which fell to pieces rather quickly) and another which was more expensive and a 4 in one adapter. It allows you to plug in headphones and charge at the same time.
It can be found here:
4in1 3.5mm USB Adapter for T-mobile G1 G2/HTC Magic - eBay Other Data Cables, Data Cables, Mobile Accessories, Phones. (end time 25-Jul-09 19:12:35 AEST)
My problem is that the more expensive adapter doesn't work. The cheap one worked fine, but when I plug this one in, the sound won't come out of the headphones.
I managed to get the sound to come out the adapter as long as I plugged the headset supplied with the phone into the adapter. The sound would still come out when I removed the headset.
I think it's the phone just needs to be set in a mode that plays the sound through the adapter, but I'm not sure.
I would like to know if anyone has figured out a way to make Pandora come up when I press the Music Notes on the stock multimedia dock interface on the Moto Droid (2.2 FRG22D).Right now the music application comes up and this does not help me as I don't have any music loaded on the phone.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm running Android on my HD2 and have recently bought a charging/media dock and a BT earbud set.
A problem I didn't anticipate is that my phone seems to prioritise the phone jack over my bluetooth, so while the phone is charging songs are not sent out via bluetooth. The cradle has a fixed headphone jack so I cannot just not-plug-it-in, unfortunately.
Unplugging the phone from the cradle fixes it, but nullifies the cradle.
Any idea if I can force Android to use bluetooth even if the jack is occupied? Alternatively, can I disable the jack entirely so the phone will continue using the bluetooth like nothing is different?
Tried some googling and searching here, but only seems to be about jacks being dodgy/skipping. Not my issue.
or any other hrtf for that matter? I'd like to be able to use this as i watch films on my commute. Are there any media players that offer headphone virtualisation of any sort? Or is the only option to reencode to dolby headphone?
View 4 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to set the inline headphone button to do something other than start/stop media? I would like to set it to something more useful such as search so I can remotely activate Vlingo.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a D1 and today i plugged in my Droid to my Aux-in in my car today, and attempted to play pandora. It sounded awful and even started to cut in and out going from my car speakers to the phone speaker.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI don't understand why they can't make the headphone jacks durable. I've had the phone for a month, i do use the headphones a lot, but the phone is now useless as the sound cuts in and out.
View 5 Replies View RelatedYes just recently i have been having trouble with my Headphone jack its not working right when i put my headphones in the jack the sound is all distorted. It appears that the jack is loose, this is a brand new 3 month old driod . What do you think i should do go to the verizon store 2mw and see if i can get a new one?
View 6 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone else have a loose headphone jack. When i move the 3.5mm connector it wiggles (the whole thing the connector and the place where it connects). Just wondering if i should bring it back or if everyone elses was loose.
View 49 Replies View RelatedAnyone else having a problem with a crackly intermittent headphone jack?
Mine has progressively gotten worse over the last month or so, to the point where the slightest movement causes crackling and sometimes intermittent loss of the sound. This is in no way related to the "left speaker pop at max volume" issue that has been previously reported. This is a purely mechanical issue, and having seen the teardown pics on the web, I think its due to the fact the headphone socket isn't actually soldered to the board, but uses 5 contacts and contact pads to make the connection. I wonder if this might be a weak spot in the design..I'm going to take the droid back this weekend to Verizon, any Idea's what my options are regarding a replacement, its after 30 days, but the motoroloa warranty should cover me for a year, right?
Alright guys so i got a new droid today and i love it. i also got a $25 gift card from my boss to walmart and was wondering if anyone knows some decent headphones, just for listening to music etc, that i could get? has to be from walmart and preferably in 25 dollar range.
View 8 Replies View RelatedWill the casssetes they sell with the 3.5 mm adpater at the end work on the droid? The one I got i got it with my iphone, but since then it hasnt worked on any phone. I should I just try a new one? I dont have an aux in on my stereo.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI bumped an old thread ( http://androidforums.com/htc-droid-eris/60269-eternal-speaker-still-plays-while-headphones-plugged.html#post1893727 )but then realized it was for a specific phone (not mine).
Can anyone please comment on the audio quality through the 3.5mm headphone jack on the Droid? I will be using Skullcandy Titans which are in-ear earphones with noise isolation. I am hoping it is at least as good as that through my iPod nano 4th gen. I know that isn't an amazing benchmark but I'll be satisfied if it sounds at least that good with high-quality audio stored on the SD card. Speaking of SD card, do they still pack in the 16GB MicroSD card with Droids these days?
View 8 Replies View Relateddoes anyone know how to unlock the volume limit for headphone or car listening?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI listen to music or podcasts all day long at work. When I get a call, I pull out the headphones and answer the call. From time to time, I will not get any audio through the phones normal speaker. It will work if I plug back in the headphones or if I go to speaker phone. The only way I have found that will clear up this issue, is to pull the battery and reboot. It is like my phone is getting stuck into thinking the headphones are still in.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIs anyone out there using One Nightstand as their media dock app? I downloaded it and like the clean screen and features a lot. But there are a few things I don't understand, and there's no developer website.
1) What's the "RING" mean in the lower right corner? It's there whether I have the app muting or allowing the ringer, notifications, system sounds, and vibrations. In other words, I can't get it to go away.
2) In the EXTRAS menu, what's the difference between "Quick calendar" and "System Calendar"?
3) In the EXTRAS menu, what's "LED Blackout" do? It doesn't turn off the "back/menu/home/search" LEDs on a Moto Droid.
those picture are worth a thousand words, that's simple. Any specify Mini dock Media TV nor Station TV for Galaxy S.
