Sep 20, 2010Anybody know if there is an app that will allow me to disable/enable the auto-rotate feature of my Droid X with 2.1 on a schedule at a certain time automatically?

Oct 13, 2010I'm having problems with my auto rotate. I use launcher pro, and have the homescreens set to not rotate. This always left my apps (handcent, gmail, etc) free to rotate within the app or popup now I only get one or the other if auto rotate is on, apps are stuck in landscape, and vice versa Ive deleted LP and started over, gone into recovery and wiped cache, battery pull running out of ideas?

Sep 19, 2010Sometimes the screen auto-rotates when I don't want it to if I angle the phone slightly. I am constantly toggling it on and off. To do so of course, I have to go into settings, then display. Does anyone know of an app that I can add the toggle switch as a shortcut on my desktop? It is kind of a pain to go through the settings each and every time. I would much rather just hit it easily on my homescreen.

Aug 29, 2010auto-rotate seems to have changed, it now defaults to the last orientation an application had since last used. so opening it again would disregard the current orientation. for example, if an app was last used on landscape and you hold the phone the normal way (not landscape), when I open the app, it would be on landscape orientation and I would need to shake it just to have it corrected. this is not good specially on browsing the internet, or the facebook app, or the gallery. not sure what other apps are affected. any way to turn this back the way 2.1 auto-rotate works?

I didn't realize that I counted on the screen orientation to stay the way when it was leaned the other direction. But I do like to type with the unit on its side from time to time.Is it possible to switch it back to the way it used to be (pre 2.2)? Aug 19, 2010I've checked the "orientation" box in the "sound and display" settings menu, but the Home and Menu screens will not auto-orient when my X10 mini pro is rotated. It only works when the keyboard is slid open - applications don't seem to have this problem. This is a recent issue, probably in the last couple of days. i've tried reinstalling the software via PC Companion and SEUS, in addition to a "factory reset," but they haven't solved anything. Is there something wrong with the accelerometer or is it a software issue that can be resolved with the next software update (2.1)?

Nov 8, 2009I once had a HTC TyTN. It was basically ok at what it did, but it couldn't sync with my Linux systems reliably, so it lost much of its appeal. I eventually sold it and I'm now using a 15 euro phone that came with 10 euro prepaid. You know the kind. Basically, I needed any mobile phone and I would keep my contacts / schedule on paper until a better solution came along. </backstory> I've been meaning to complicate things again. Android now seems like a good solution, and the Droid/Milestone is the best there currently is. Problem is, I live in the Netherlands.
It's in Germany and in Italy now. But is there any more information - educated guesses even - on when it might arrive in the Netherlands? Or, I'm sure others are interested, elsewhere in Europe? I was hoping to get one this year. Should I hold my breath? I know there is the option to import the device from Germany or Italy. But as I understand it, three quarters of the appeal of Android in general, and the Droid in particular, is the wireless internet connectivity.
Motorola Droid 2 :: Email Notifications And Fetch Schedule
Oct 15, 20101. My work email is set up under a Corporate Sync header, not an email header. This seems to email that arrive to not show up on my notifications header or notify me the way I've got the other email accounts to notify (ring, vibrate, etc.). Is there a way to change this?
2. Can the fetch schedule be reduced to anything less than 15 minutes? That seems to be a very long time to wait for an email to arrive.
