I get a lot of forwarded picture messages. For some reason they show up with a play symbol on them like they are a slideshow or video. Is there something I can do to just make them show up as a picture?

View 2 Replies View RelatedEvery time I try to send a picture in a text message, it tries to convert it to a slideshow. Is there any way to turn this off? Whenever I try sending one picture as a slideshow, the recipient (even if they have a similar Verizon phone, like the Droid) can't see it. It never used to do that, but I don't see a setting that will allow me to just send the picture without making it a slideshow.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am simply trying to find a photo viewer and slideshow app that does true fullscreen. Some people claim it's not possible. But the Youtube app does it perfectly with full screen video. No top bar and no soft buttons on the bottom of my 4.2.2 tablet.
So far all the apps I have tried, at best will hide the top status bar. But many apps of various uses, do that.
Any photo apps that can do this? And if there truly is none currently, I should start looking into what it would take to write one.
Well I've looked at all 31 pages in this forum and search and I'm probably not searching right but I still can't find anything.We've got two EVo's on our plan and my husband just brought it to my attention that he is not receiving pictures that have texted to him. So I sent one and while I didn't receive any kind of message that it didn't go, he didn't receive it.He turned around and took a picture and sent it to me and I didn't receive it.It's probably a setting but I can't find it, can someone please direct me in the right direction

View 4 Replies View RelatedI use "Handcent" and it gives me the option to "Download" then it says "Downloading" and it just goes back to "Download" I never see the picture. I uninstalled handcent and tried the stock messaging app and it does the same thing. Any ideas?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI can receive picture messages but for some reason they just time out when sending them, I've attached a picture to a text and pressed send, but in Handcent the little timer just goes round and then about 20 minutes later it bleeps and tells me that it didn't go through.Is this a problem with Handcent/Desire or T-Mobile?

I assuem I can send them to other people ok.

Before Froyo, I was able to attach a picture to a text and if I left the message area blank, it would not convert it into a slideshow. I am not able to do that anymore. I've tried starting the process from the Gallery and the Camera, but I can not find a solution for it. Is this the same for anyone else?

Pressing the pause button doesn't work at all, as it just turns the screen black for whatever freakin reason.

I was told that my phone will not do picture messaging, and that it was a phone limitation not a network one. Other users have picture messaging on their blackberries. View 12 Replies View RelatedOne problem, everytime i send a picture message to my friends they only get "Message Corrupt" and they cant open it. One of my friends has a 'Desire' and he can open it fine. i can recieve pic messages ok. Have spoke to my service provider, they cant help me at all. They did try for 2 hrs this morning. I have 14 days to leave this phone back, it would be a shame to leave this back because of a messaging problem. but i will as picture messaging adds a bit of fun to your phone.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I get picture messages, they show up in my SMS stream with that person but in the completely wrong spot. They usually show a received time of HOURS before I actually got it, so it shows way in the middle of the stream somewhere. This is also true for messages I send.

When certain people send me picture messages and I touch them to open and view it plays as a video, the picture will play for a second and then go to black screen and then back to the messaging screen. It wasn't sent as a video message by the person so why is it "playing " instead of just letting me open it in the gallery and view it like most? I've searched google and other forums for an answer but still nothing.. its not a huge deal but I would like to fix it if possible.

I have a Samsung Galaxy s3 with AT&T.
so my phone battery is terrible, so i have an app that shuts off the network in certain situations.. my question is this: i know that when the network is off, i am not capable of receiving pix. but when the network comes back, will i eventually get the pictures i was sent? ive heard of some ppl getting my pix hours after i send them, so i hope i should at least get the pics.. if so, is there a way to speed up the process?
