I trashed the pre-installed weather widget and downloaded the Weather Channel widget, but it's not refreshing the temperature. This is the same reason I got rid of the pre-installed version. Anyone know why this happens? I also have Advanced Task Killer, could this be the culprit?

Can anyone please tell me the name of the app in which you get between a four and seven day forcast as a widget. By that I mean, say for instance the whole week looks like it'll be sunny, the widget will have 4 to 7 suns going across your screen with, I believe, the temperature to each day on the corner of each sun?
View 5 Replies View RelatedThe weather widget on my Incredible shows my location correctly, but the actual temperature reading is usually somewhat off of the temp from the weather channel widget (right now it is 7 degrees less). Does anyone know where HTC gets its info from? I like having the temperature displayed under the clock, but not if it is inaccurate. I also compared the HTC temp to a reading off of a wireless window thermometer and it did not agree.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a copy of the Google Genie APK that has transparancy and was previously using it. Velocity 0.3 has the Genie widget (was it in 0.2 as well...don't recall) and I've tried removing it via a script in the terminal emulator. Removed fine, but I cannot install the APK I have for some reason. Simply comes up with the error "Application not installed". When I do attempt to install the APK, a message comes up saying that "The application you are installing will replace another application". I know that the file versions are different as well. Love the transparent widget.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI installed the 2.1 deskclock because the 2.0.1 was just too bright. Last night i put it in my multimedia dock. However there is no weather. It just says "weather temperature unavailable". I went into the settings and the weather settings is defualted for my zip code. it does show my location and temp. I done understand then why it does not display temp in the dock.

Anyone else having problems with the Weather Widgets app clock not refreshing? The weather seems to do its job every 30 minutes, but the clock gets stuck at times. Like today, it was 3 hours off. Anyone know of a fix for this? I checked for updates, but no luck.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Moto Droid 2.2 with "Alarm Clock Plus v2" set as my clock when in the multi-media dock. The weather information will load the current weather when the application first starts up, however will not refresh.
If I tap on the weather it will open the weather info with up to date info but going back to the clock will still show the old data. By removing the phone from the dock (thus exiting Alarm Clock Plus) and putting it back on the dock (thus running Alarm Clock Plus again) the weather info becomes current.
Has anyone else run into this? I looked in the settings for Alarm Clock Plus v2 and could not find any information on how often to refresh the weather info.
I have a fully stock, most recent OTA updated EVO. Lately I can't tell what the temperature is because my weather widget has become bogged down with clouds or sunshine, rain, thunder, etc. icons over the temperature. I can't take a snapshot to post.

I use my Dinc a lot in the car for hours at a time using GPS, Pandora and maybe other apps. Running all of them can really heat up the phone so I like to keep an eye on it. I can see the temp if I pull the notification bar down using Battery Indicator but I'd like to be able to watch this with just a glance
Can anyone recommend a weather widget that displays the current weather based on location? Preferably cell tower info instead of gps and one that only used data every set interval based on my settings so that it doesn't use data constantly.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo since the 2.1 OTA my weather widget will display the city, but no weather icon. if i sync it manually, it will show up. with 1.5 it would update every 3 hours, regardless if i had Background data on or off (i normally keep it off).
so now with 2.1 it wont sync unless i have BG data on, or do it manually. any way around this?
It just says 'my location' on the home screen, shows the time but not the weather.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI tried removing it and adding it back about ten times and it still won't show the weather..just says "my location" under the clock. If I click on the clock and load it, I can then click on the clock and it will load the weather screen, updated and all...but it still refuses to load it on the home screen with the time. Happened a few days after froyo update. How can I get the weather back as part of the clock widget??

Mine worked for a day and now I get the location but no weather update.
All other locations display all info fine.
Im in Australia on Vodafone - although from the previous mentioned thread seems to be software related rather than carrier location
So I got the 2.2 Update. If I try adding the News & Weather widget, the weather is always wrong. Always has the sun on all night and temperature is wrong too. I checked all options of course, should work fine. Has anyone else encountered this?

It also used to update the weather every hour and show a sun in the day and a moon at night but now even at 12 at night it still shows the sun. I've also set the weather sync in settings to update ever hour. does anyone know what it could be thats different in my phone now?

It keeps saying when i refresh weather info unavailable. IS anyone else having this problem? This just started happening yesterday morning prior to that i had no problems with it. The news portion is working fine.

I have beautiful widgets currently, but it doesn't show the full screen animations like she likes (windshield wipers if it is raining, bright sunlight when sunny, etc.).

View 10 Replies View RelatedOne of the things I liked about Sense (I'm rooted now and running the Second Wave ROM) was the HTC weather animations when the screen was unlocked. After installing Widget Locker, I noticed an option to turn them on and now I have them back! I also installed the Weather & Toggle Widget and installed the weather skin that looks just like the Sense weather with the flip clock.The annoying part is that when it's sunny, or partly sunny, the "sun animation" from Sense doesn't perfectly align with the Weather & Toggle Widget weather icon. I know, I know, it's a minor problem and goes away when the animation is done, but the lack of symmetry sometimes annoys the hell out of me.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have my GPS off but the weather widget is giving me close enough weather via the network. I'd like to keep track of the weather in another location. When I click on the "+" sign in the weather widget and then type in the location the city is not found. I've tried typing it in exactly how it appears when I'm there w/o luck. Is there another way to save/ find this city and keep track f the weather in the widget?
