do you think it would work for the Ally?
I'm trying to figure out how to get Velocity on my LG Ally, and I was wondering if anyone could help me out. Could someone post a link for instructions?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI use my Ally mainly as phone/email device and do just about 10 mins of browsing web a day. Under this kind of usage, battery level goes to about 50% after 12hrs from unplugging the charger. With some more browsing, it can get down to 33% easily in 12 hours. I guess it will be dead by 18 hours this way. I wonder how you guys batteries are doing compared to mine. I wish it lasts a bit longer than this.
View 34 Replies View RelatedI have a friend that used to have an Ally and loved the Good morning alarm sound. Now she doesn't have the Ally anymore but says she really misses that sound. Does any know where I can get it? I am not positive if it's even called Good Morning. If someone can post it that would be great!

View 15 Replies View RelatedI can last a good 15 hours and still have like 50 percent. But when I don't use it the battery drains and barely lasts a day. I've been hearing that app killer is bad but if I don't use it I have no battery.

View 3 Replies View Related1st time poster so sorry if this has been discussed.I just got my LG Ally and have never owned a cell phone with such terrible battery life!I am coming from a Blackberry which would last me all day and night.I am lucky if my Ally gets me to noon w/o the 10% warning coming on.I go to settings and check my battery usage and I really don't know what to make of it.Yesterday it showed 93% battery use was from the Android system.Today it shows 81% is the Whoopee Cushion (app).I did use the Whoopee Cuchion app for about 3 minutes earlier today so why is that taking up 81%?I guess what I'm asking is - there anything to conserve battery life?Do I need to turn something off?Change a setting?I did take the advice of a friend and installed Advanced Task Killer but I have noticed NO difference in battery life since then.Any help would be greatly appreciated. And please keep it simple.like you're explaining it to a 5 year old.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI'm interested in knowing how other people maintain good battery life with their evo. I get about 5 hours a day with moderate usage. I don't do much but put the screen brightness in the middle and occasionally going into "running applications" and closing the ones I don't need or use (most of them being the trashy default stuff); Turn off syncing when not needed; turn off GPS and other seetings that are not continuously needed to be left on.
I also configured my send and receive settings for each mail account. I know there is no official way to close out an app when your done using it, I usually just press the home button when i need to exit an app. Does everyone else do the same? Or is there a better technique to officially close apps and stop them running when you are done using them? Without DLing a task killer app cause I don't want one.? Feel Free to share your ideas or techniques.
I am merging all battery threads into one major thread to keep the forum more streamlined.
Did your battery life improve or get worse after the update? I did not update yesterday after reading about all the bricked phones. I got the message to update this evening but cancelled it for now because I absolutely need my phone tomorrow and because I am leery about what it will do to my near-perfect EVO. I get good to great battery life currently but do have some slight grounding issues. It would be nice to have those fixed and several report overall better performance.
But I have seen a few posts saying that battery life got worse, and the ones who say it is better are still not as good as I am currently getting. I got burned with an update once before (Samsung Moment 2.1 - supposed to make everything better but in reality made my decent battery life only half what it was before). So I wanted to get some input from those of you who have already done the OTA update - what are the results on the battery life?
So after all the horror stories about battery life I was kinda worried about my new Desire especially as I am a full brightness, 3G loving kinda man. But having got the phone on saturday, I have found it quite good. I mean, I played with it almost constantly for about 8 hours, and I still had 30% charge left.
Normal usage would be maybe an 2 hours or so per day, so i don't think there is any danger I'm gonna run outta juice at work. Also, when sleeping, I don't seem to lose any battery power at all, despite the experiences of others. Anyone else think the battery problems are overblown?
Is pulling the battery bad for it?
View 1 Replies View RelatedNew to the Evo just wanted to know, when i first get it what should i do to get the best out of the batt life? Drain it then charge it, or should i just throw it on charge for some amount of hours first. I have heard different things from people and just wanted some tips.
Also at night when not using the phone should i turn the phone fully off does that help in anyway or is it OK to just have the phone on all the time and never turning it off.
Anyone ever try wiping their battery stats using Rom Manager? I read a few post about this on another forum and was wondering if worked? I seem to be having a problem with my Ally - I let it run until it shuts off and when I plug it into my charger, the stat says it has between 3% and 5% still left.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I got home from work today my battery was down to 20%. I plugged the charger in then started messing around on youtube. An hour later my phone shuts off and wouldn't power back on. Red led was blinking for about five minutes then the phone powered itself back on. I checked osmonitor and it showed my battery at 0% and battery temp at 140f. Will the battery not charge if your using this phone or is my charger bad?

View 8 Replies View RelatedHow long does your battery last? Mine dies out pretty quickly. Are there any apps or anything that can make it last longer? And is it just my phone(LG ALLY)? Thank you
View 6 Replies View RelatedI can't find an app to monitor the battery voltage, discharge, and charge in mA like in this pic. I have tried TONS of apps that tell me the % of the battery, and the temp but none that show that. Can you even do that with the android OS?
View 11 Replies View RelatedMy Christmas gift this year... the HTC Hero. Quite happy so far. However because neither my hubby (he has a Palm Pre) and I have ever had an android before, I have a few questions that he can't seem to answer. So please excuse the simiplicity of my questions
1)) What is the best way to maintain good battery life? Is there a specific % I should never let the batter fall below?
2)) Besides from being able to pull ringtones from my MP3 files on my PC, are there any good websites that offer free ringtones for android devices?
3)) My Hero came packed with a whole bunch of apps that I will never use. Like NFL Mobile, Nascar, Amazon and YouTube apps. Is it okay to delete these from my phone entirely? Will doing so free up memory for bigger and/or better apps?
4)) Are there any types files or apps that I should not put on my phone?
