do you think it would work for the Ally?
I use my Ally mainly as phone/email device and do just about 10 mins of browsing web a day. Under this kind of usage, battery level goes to about 50% after 12hrs from unplugging the charger. With some more browsing, it can get down to 33% easily in 12 hours. I guess it will be dead by 18 hours this way. I wonder how you guys batteries are doing compared to mine. I wish it lasts a bit longer than this.

View 3 Replies View Related1st time poster so sorry if this has been discussed.I just got my LG Ally and have never owned a cell phone with such terrible battery life!I am coming from a Blackberry which would last me all day and night.I am lucky if my Ally gets me to noon w/o the 10% warning coming on.I go to settings and check my battery usage and I really don't know what to make of it.Yesterday it showed 93% battery use was from the Android system.Today it shows 81% is the Whoopee Cushion (app).I did use the Whoopee Cuchion app for about 3 minutes earlier today so why is that taking up 81%?I guess what I'm asking is - there anything to conserve battery life?Do I need to turn something off?Change a setting?I did take the advice of a friend and installed Advanced Task Killer but I have noticed NO difference in battery life since then.Any help would be greatly appreciated. And please keep it simple.like you're explaining it to a 5 year old.

View 2 Replies View RelatedAnyone ever try wiping their battery stats using Rom Manager? I read a few post about this on another forum and was wondering if worked? I seem to be having a problem with my Ally - I let it run until it shuts off and when I plug it into my charger, the stat says it has between 3% and 5% still left.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I got home from work today my battery was down to 20%. I plugged the charger in then started messing around on youtube. An hour later my phone shuts off and wouldn't power back on. Red led was blinking for about five minutes then the phone powered itself back on. I checked osmonitor and it showed my battery at 0% and battery temp at 140f. Will the battery not charge if your using this phone or is my charger bad?

View 8 Replies View RelatedHow long does your battery last? Mine dies out pretty quickly. Are there any apps or anything that can make it last longer? And is it just my phone(LG ALLY)? Thank you
View 6 Replies View Relatedon average what % battery is your android system using. mine usually uses from 20%-60%. On average its 40%, pretty much after normal use at any given time mine is at 40%. seem normal or a bit high? i have system panel and no app seems to be hogging or anything like that.edit: after some tweaks my android system is anywhere from 10%-40% tops.
View 15 Replies View RelatedGo to settings > about phone > battery > battery use Write down your Android system usage % for me as I want to know what everyone elses is like, mine is between 50-60% which seems abnormally high? Its on its 2nd full charge so maybe it will improve over time.
View 20 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone notice that 'Android System' battery usage is very high?
I ran a test where i displayed just a photo
Battery Indicator
3G Watchdog
Photos
Advanced Task Killer Free
within 20 minutes the results on the battery are the following:
Android System: 63%
Display: 24%
Cell standby 13%
Any thoughts on to what might be causing Android System to be so high, only them programs are running. Does this happen to your system? I notice with web browsing its about the same usage as well, with wifi and internet taking up small amounts.
I'm having problems with my Droid Incredible battery not lasting a full day; even when I don't think I'm doing a lot. Maybe its the K9 Mail applications or my stock monitor, or some other application that is using a lot of power.
I got the System Panel application to help, but it doesn't see to give me a view of what application is using up the power.
I just wanted to know if that was normal if I'm not really using my phone. I read on another post that the Android system shouldn't be using that much battery or am I wrong?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got my first Android phone ever (long time Apple fanboy), and it is great. Except one thing: Battery life. It SUCKS (quite literally)
"Android System" is using 91% battery. I've disabled location services, backup and so forth, but the problem persists. I've tried flashing various ROMs, including stock sense, stock GE and Android Revolution HD 21. The problem is there with all of them.
Having a problem with the battery taking longer than normal to charge and it is hot. Does anyone have this problem with your Ally?
View 4 Replies View RelatedBeen having problems lately with my battery performance. im finding that the battery is being used by the android system (96%) even when the phone is on standby through the night. before it used to change to phone idle and cell standby having a high percentage with the android system staying very low, but now the battery is being eaten alive by the android system and the battery is draining rapidly.. i used to get 2 days out of my battery before it needed charging but now im lucky to get just over a day..
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhat actually does that mean when you see android system in the battery consumption breakdown page? Like what parts of the phone use comprises android system, like does looking for a signal comprise system and suck like? And what is considered high android system use?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just got my droid x about 2 days ago, and I've gone through about 2 full cycles. So far I haven't been able to squeeze more than 6 hrs of use on it, so I installed spare parts to see if the GPS bug was affecting it.
Going through some usage information, I found that the "Android System" sensor usage was huge! Since 1hr 29min unplugged the Sensor has been on for 1hr 36min...weird.
Checking the total time since boot the sensor has been on 19 hrs. I have autobrightness turned off and I haven't come across any other posts that explain what uses the sensor.
There are a bunch of threads out there talking about battery usage and how to figure out what's draining your battery.
Almost all of them say to go get Spare Parts app from the market and check you "partial wake usage".
I did that and 95% of my partial wake usage is from "Android System".
Is that normal? Anyone who is getting good battery life (20+ hours) - what do you see in the partial wake usage?
I just checked my phone:
13h 10m 23s since unplugged
Partial Wakelock:Android System Total time: 13h 1m 44s
Is this normal?
The only widgets I have are:
