Nov 17, 2013how to make themes and using as a base the Android 4.4 KitKat Theme by Global Sense (in Google Play). I wanted to start by making simple changes, like the notification_header_bg. First I made the image in Gimp and saved it to res/drawable-xhdpi (even if my device is HDPI). Then, I added this code

And then I had the problem. It's like the image is overlapping itself, and, even if it's not transparent, it's looking brighter on one side

HTC EVO 4G :: Will Turning Off Sense Make Difference?
May 26, 2010Since Sense is extra drag on the phone, and the Evo has some reported lag issues, I was wondering if turning Sense off will make a difference as far as speed and battery life. I know that the ability to turn Sense off without rooting the phone exists on the Evo, but from what I've heard that feature doesn't actually turn it off, but only hides it. Can someone in the know, or who already received their Evo clarify any benefits received from turning off Sense? Aesthetics aside.

Oct 10, 2010I installed this a few days ago. Runs fast, the battery was initially normal (meaning terrible), but after a few days of normal use the battery life is amazing. Still drops to 80% within an hour or so of coming off charger, then it just hangs on in the 60-80% range for hours and hours under semi-heavy use.

LG Ally : Text Notifications Never Make Sound / Home Button Does Not Work
Nov 29, 2010so this is really starting to piss me off, there's a whole list of things that piss me off about this ROM.
It will randomly restart Text Notifications NEVER make sound no matter what i do. Home button does not work, neither does the search button.
I've tried rebooting, re flashing, downloading other things. Still to no avail. A little help please?

I have a Standard 2.1 w/root and recently updated my PRL (I believe that is what is called) But it seems my reception has gotten worse.
