Jun 5, 2014I do not know if this is possible but it should be. How do I put my actual phone on my PC? Yes you heard me right. I have tried VNCserver, SnaPpea and others but that is really just to back up files and maybe use texting...I want it all, I want to see my phone on my PC screen and use all of its functions, including making a phone call. I do not want to use 1,000 diff apps to accomplish this..If this has not been done than lets talk and get this out there..I can see where it has been done the other way around because people are glued to their phones but why not this way?

My problem is trying to install the Google Play Store. I have spent hours and hours researching but cannot find the answer anywhere.
Of course I have tried downloading the play store.apk and installing it, which appears to work and installs find but stops when I launch it.

Apr 29, 2014I went upgrading from Jelly Bean to KitKat 4.4.2 on my Note-3 (T-Mobile), and since upgrading, the Note-3 no longer transfer data at USB 3.0 speed anymore, only regular 2.0 speed. i tried using new 3.0 cables, still the same issue, and my other 3.0 devices work in the USB 3.0 port on my computer with no problem. And on my phone, even the menu choice for 3.0 no longer shows as a third optioned. i downloaded and install Kies 3 and the USB drivers from Samsungs website, the same with there Galaxy Note-3 after upgrading to KitKat.

Mar 6, 2014I am on Three UK, and I manually searched for an update for my Galaxy Note 3 today, while on my wireless network. My phone showed that a KitKat 4.4.2 update was available which was approx. 391 MB in size. Downloaded and installed it.
The install worked fine, but after the install, my phone seems to be draining the battery at 1% every minute. I have turned off GPS, wireless, mobile data etc. but to no avail.I don't even have Skype installed on my phone (as Google asked some users to uninstall Skype)

I deleted some videos by accident and I need to get them back. I don't have any added memory, everything is written to the internal storage. ALL of the recovery software I have tried is asking for USB mass storage or doesn't work.
DiskDigger App also doesn't work. I read that mass storage is no longer available on 4.4.2. Supposedly everything connects with some new system called MTP.
How can I get my files back from the internal memory? There MUST be some way to do this. There must be some way to read the entire internal storage disk!

Dec 31, 2013I tried switching to ART and, after rebooting, I started testing all my apps to see how well they run. When I got to Whatsapp, I was getting repeated crashes. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but I couldn't reinstall. When I looked it up on the internet, I found that the problem was not with the app itself, but with ART in 4.4 and that the issue had been addressed in the 4.4.1 update, which isn't available for the Moto X yet. So, I tried switching back to Dalvik, but now I still can't reinstall Whatsapp even in Dalvik runtime.
I get an error box when I try to install from the Play Store. "Unknown error code during application install: -24". I tried downloading the apk from the Whatsapp website and sideloading it, but my phone won't install that either.
KitKat 4.4 :: Stuck At Boot Logo After Failed ROM Install
Feb 17, 2014I should have just left it as it was out of the box..So after attempting to install a custom rom (4.4.2 Play edition)my s4 is stuck at the Samsung I9505 boot screen. I wiped the 'Dalvik cache' 'System' and 'cache' partitions in TWRP as I was following along with a Youtube video (that didn't work). When I tried to flash the custom ROM it automatically said failed. After giving up and turning on the phone I found that I'm stuck at this screen.
Have I bricked the phone? $550 could have gone down the drain just like that. I don't want to touch it without any advice and make everything worse. My only hope now is that I've managed to wipe the original software and it has nothing to boot from.
Why did the ROM install fail in the first place? I had it copied on the SD card. It was zip file.I can still access TWRP just fine and my SD shows up with the custom ROM still there, it's just whenever I hit install it fails in under a second.
