The WiFi on my Nexus 7, 4.4.2. Tablet is acting strange lately. It will randomly disconnect from the current internet connection, and delete the entire WiFi password/login history. I have to fill in the password again for it to work again. Restarting my device didn't solve the problem, and WiFi optimization is unticked.

I downloaded the update file (279e5e2396480cbffd97943a5db5bbc743ef7e77.signed-mantaray-KRT16O-from-JWR66Y.279e5e23.zip) placed it in my rooted device and started twrp custom recovery.
When i click on flash a zip file the flash always fails?
I am trying to get a friends Nexus 7 up and running. I recently rooted it and installed the custom recovery using my Mac with this guide while the tablet was on 4.3. All was well, but then my friend was given the option to install the 4.4 Kitkat update. After the update, the tablet has been unable to boot - it simply hangs at the startup animation. I am able to enter the recovery boot loader, and enter options to restore from a .zip, however I have no way of accessing the tablet's memory from my computer to put the original operating system back on it- although I think it could be done from Terminal, I am not well versed in command prompts.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a tmobile Galaxy S3, pretty much stock. Ever since I got the recent 4.3 OTA upgrade constantly. Several times per hour, sometimes several times per minute. Sometimes I'll see it appear then flash away and come back while I'm staring at it, making it hard to pick things off the notification menu for all the jumping around.
I did once (months ago) download that from either the web or Google Drive (I suspect the later)... I can't open the file (it says "This Document Cannot be Opened" if I click on it) and the notice comes back. Even if I download another copy, I still get the notice, clearing Drive's cache didn't fix it, neither did uininstalling Drive altogether).
If you do a master reset with the Nexus one will you lose all your apps? even the ones that you purchased?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having quite a few serious problems with making my Android game work on my Nexus One phone. After 3 days of hunting down solutions in the internet and trying them out, I'm beat and have decided to ask for help.
When connecting the Nexus One for debugging, I can't get the ADB manager to recognize the device. Working with W7 and my Nexus (2.1) I was able to correctly compile and debug on the actual device. One day a automatic update came for 2.2, I updated and hadn't tried to debug anything on the device since until a few days ago.Download SDK and USB drivers. Set my USB Debugging enabled on the phone. Connect Nexus One. Windows auto-detects it as a hard drive.
We are facing 2 issues on the nexus 1 using opengl( under NDK ):
1)glNormalPointer(GL_BYTE, x , y);does no work, there no lighting done on any model using normals stored using byte, the same code is working properly on a motorola droid/milestone.
2)Changine Lighting states are very slow and freeze the display frame for 1 sec on the Nexus 1, we are using dynamic light ON/OFF and i am under the impression that is because of the emulation of the opengl 1.x pipeline under a 2.0 pipeline -> some hidden upload of shaders of some sort in the drivers, but this is to a point that there is no way to use realtime lighting on our game for the nexus 1 so somebody has to look into this issue.
I need to test my application from eclipse, but I could not see the device ? I was told that I need to upgrade USB driver. Do you know here I could download the driver? what is the procedure to upgrade?

In the Android Eclipse plugin, I have downloaded and installed the USB driver (revision 3) package. But when I connect my Nexus One to my PC (running Windows 7) using the USB cable, a message box pops up and shows that "No driver found" for "Nexus One". I have activated USB Debugging on my device. And when I run adb devices on my PC, it just prints List of devices attached and no devices are listed. And if I use Device Manages in Windows, and tries to update the driver for "Nexus One", I can not select a driver in the "driver directory" of Android SDK. How can I install a driver for Nexus One on Windows 7 so I can use it for USB debugging my Android applications on a real device?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI Have a Nexus 7 and recently I found that I needed to use ADB for something and I had used my Nexus 7 with ADB on this computer before (thats how I installed KitKat) but whenever I connect my Nexus now it says that is not configured correctly and when I attempted to install the ADB driver it said windows encountered an error. I am currently running windows with Driver verification disabled and on test mode. I am also running windows in test mode so that it wouldn't block the driver. I have tried every driver possible from the one in the SDK to the intel android adb driver and even PDAnet. I have checked inside the driver file that it is properly registered for my nexus 7. I am running Windows 8.1 on my computer and android 4.4.2 kitkat on my Nexus 7.
View 1 Replies View Related I got Cyanogenmod 11 (the latest nightly) on my Nexus 5, and I use Nova Launcher Prime.
What I am trying to do right now is to get rid of the navigation buttons at the bottom completely (instead I use Pie Control)
So far I am using the expanded desktop mode, however, that doesn't work nearly as good as I hoped it would.
The problems are that a transparent NavBar appears quite often, when I use the keyboard they reappear and take space.
So far I tried to solve it with different launchers (but without success). I tried to use apps like ultimate dynamic NavBar or GMD auto hide softkeys. All they do is put another layer of Navigation Buttons on top of the already existing Nav Bar.
I also tried to use Full!screen, and that worked pretty nicely, but the problem was that it always also disabled the status bar (which I want to keep).
I've been using my G1 under Windows 7 64-bit and Eclipse just fine.
However, when using my new Nexus One instead - and making sure that 'Use Debugging' is enabled - the Nexus One is not recognized and debugging on this phone is not possible.
Usig the Nexus One as a removable-drive (by mounting it) works fine.
How can I start using the Nexus one as a development device (on Eclipse)?
Tried connecting my bluetooth today to give a presentation using PPT Remote, but the computer has said that the peripheral driver is missing and I cannot use it as a paired device. It has discovered my N1 but won't connect. Any ideas?
View 2 Replies View RelatedTo put it short: Dolphin Browser started force closing randomly a few days ago. I couldn't get rid of the problem and tested pretty much every browser available for the Android platform. Opera, Firefox, Boat, xScope, Maxthon and so on, they ALL crash. I don't really like Google Chrome, due to its lack of options (no fullscreen etc.)....
Here is what I did:
- uninstalled and reinstalled Dolphin
- rebooted the tablet
- deleted the app cache (also via "wipe cache partition")
- disabled Google Admob
- executed a full factory reset, installed Dolphin first, still crashing
The problem itself is well documented and affects many OS versions, even more devices and every browser. The only workaround is to disable JavaScript, which of course renders many web pages unusable.
Coming from a Blackberry Playbook with its own fair share of browser related crashes, I'm now utterly frustrated with the situation. The first three weeks with my new Nexus 7 felt absolutely perfect.
I've got an unbranded Desire running 2.2. Occasionally (maybe twice a week) it will go into a cycle where WiFi disables itself when connected. Once fully disabled, it enables itself again. Once it has found my home network, it obtains the IP address. At the point of connection it then disables wifi and starts the process again. Normally, it works fine. Connected, stable, just as you'd expect. Once it starts on this loop I restart the phone and it works absolutely fine. This has happened on another WiFi network other than the home network. I've got the power control widget, and since this started I've now got WiFi manager installed as well. I run locale with a scenario that turns WiFi on when I'm at home using the location power saving add-on, however this WiFi problem has occured with both locale enabled and disabled.

For some reason, over the last week or so I'm finding that I have to restart my WiFi connection to connect to the net. The web pages just wont load, but as soon as I restart it, they load fine. This goes the same for the Market. As far as I know NOTHING has changed on my phone as far as WiFi goes, and my Rom has worked just fine till this issue started.

I find the original rom, and I reinstall it. But now the g-sensor don't work.So I've found another rom, in wich the wifi don't work, and the g-sensor yes.

The WiFi has been disconnecting every few minutes. I do not know why it's disconnecting so often.
I have disassembled my Z930 Tab.I found that my WiFi chip is from RealTek (8188CTV or 8188CIV, Can't make out the model name, too small) whereas my tab has some HTC port rom which has the driver for Broadcom's chipset. I found the driver, its RTL8188CUS. But I don't know how to compile it for Android. uninstall Broadcomm's driver and install RealTek's. My custom ROM is running on JB.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a rooted 2.1, it's been working perfectly since I rooted and updated and all.I love how fast and responsive everything is now.BUT one of the main reasons I rooted was so that I could take advantage of the wifi tethering.It works sometimes.sometimes great.BUT if I try to go to facebook.it'll work well sometimes, then others it won't even load the page.then eventually just kills my connection. gmail seems to have the same reaction.works sometimes, other times, nothing. i dont seem to have much of a problem surfing other sites.HOWEVER if i try to download anything over like 4MB big...my connection just gets killed all together, and nothing works. a friend of mine sent me his bands new demos...the zip file is like 35MB.it only gets a little ways before just dropping down to 0.0kbs and then it just sits there, not loading crap. I can re start the connection, and it will start downloading again, but after about 30 or 40 seconds.the connection gets killed again. Same goes for a torrent...if I try to download a torrent, it'll work and get pretty fast, up to 190kbs.but after just under a minute, connection killed. why is this? does verizon kill data connections that come in to fast or something? i have a friend who tethers with at&t with his iphone, he got the demos downloaded in like 12 min on his iphone tethering app. do i need to do some tweaking to my phone so I can download? im not trying to go crazy, but I'd like to atleast be able to get large attachments and such.

This leaves me with a choice of less security for my entire network, or no wifi for the Droidx. I have seen this problem mentioned on the Motorola support page, but I have not heard of any resolution. Does anyone have a fix for this? I am using the new Froyo 2.2 OTA update.

However, I am having problems with the stock messaging app. No matter what app I choose as the default messaging app Textra or ChompSMS, the pop-up notification for the stock messaging app always shows up, despite the fact that I have already turned the notification off on the stock messaging app. This means I am getting two pop-ups each time I get a text message.
View 3 Replies View Related I'm suddenly having trouble opening up audio attachments/files. Running a Nexus 4 - OS 4.4.2. I get my work voicemail as e-mail attachments in .wav format. Up until today I was able to just tap on the attachment, and it would download and start playing. Now it says "No app can open this attachment for viewing". If I go into the Downloads and try to open it up, it says, "Can't open file". Same if I try and open up a mp3 that's in Downloads. However, opening a PDF or Excel file from Downloads or straight from email works just fine. If I go into the music player I can open up the .wav and .mp3 files from Downloads just fine.
I tried restarting a few times, and also tried clearing the app cache with no luck. What should I try next?
My phone working fine three months back after upgrading android 4.3.
Now suddenly no sound during incoming call and outgoing call also phone ring not working, i tried many option but its not working also i went to LG service center they are saying its android problem i am getting disappoint with google and LG service don't know what to do.
I'm having problems with my nexus 10. It wont play any videos when I'm running cyanogenmod for android android 4.4. It can't play any videos online or files. I tried another ROM for android 4.4 and it still won't work. It works fine on android 4.3 or any custom Roms for it. I'll include a video for it in the next post.
