View 11 RepliesSome time ago i installed a certificate on my phone cause I needed it for my college Wifi.
It automaticly set Screen lock on my phone.
After I uninstalled it I cant get the swipe unlock on my phone back.
I tried restarting the phone, I deleted the certificate but it still wont let me use swipe unlock.
When I try to change it it says "Disabled by administrator, encryption policy, or credential storage."
And only Pattern, PIN, and Password are possible. Swipe, Motion, Face unlock, Face and voice cannot be chosen.
I know there are some 3rd party programs like 'no lock' but is there any way I can fix this?
How do you get lock screen notifications on android? I want them to look nice. I love the notifications on iOS.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I am looking for an app that will automatically turn the lock screen on and off. I am currently running the new SkipLock and it almost meets my needs. The way it works is when I connect to my wifi network at home, my lock screen turns off and there is no need for me to enter a pin when at home. As soon as I disconnect from my wifi network, the lock screen is turned on and my phone is protected.
I hate the PIN lock on 4.3. It's terrible. Just a PIN pad that looks like 5 year old designed. I would love to have the option to do what ever lock screen I would like. Not just password or pin like the above mentioned app only allows.
What exactly is the purpose of the white box that appears on the lock screen of my note 3?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Galaxy S4 (Verizon) with Android 4.2.2, phone is only a couple weeks old. This phone randomly goes to the lock screen while I'm in the middle of typing a text message. Doesn't do it every time, but enough to be very annoying. I've tried rebooting and removing/re-installing the battery, still the same.

View 1 Replies View Relatedtell me the resolution of the lock screen icons for the 4.1/4.2 lock screen or better yet provide me with a link to some icons usable for the JB lockscreen.See I have a pack of plain white vector icons, however when changing one my lock screen shortcuts to a custom app, there are no default icons suitable so I use the vector icon but it's about 5 times bigger than the other icons!
As it's the lock screen I'm not having the easiest time getting a screen shot to demonstrate what I mean but I'm sure you can envision what I'm talking about.
How to change jb lockscreen to this?
1. I want to remove white bounding box.
2. I want to move up the clock over widget boundary.
In ICS, there is a way to move clock upside.
By modifying keyguard_screen_unlock_portrait.xml file in framework-res.apk.
But in JB this method doesn't work well.
ps. I don't want to do this by 3rd party app like widget locker.
I have a s3 with 4.3. I am looking at an app that has pip up sms on the Lockheed so I can reply right from there
View 1 Replies View Related I'm on a Samsung G3 and just updated to 4.3. Enjoying it for the most part but the new lock screen is giving me some trouble. I preferred the one from 4.1 but I'm trying to adapt. Downloaded DashClock and added weather, email, and SMS extensions but I keep getting the stock Messaging widget popping up when I get a message (see image). I do want my phone to vibrate and the screen to turn on when I get a message, I just don't want to deal with the extra widgets.
DashClock is my default widget (got rid of the standard one and dragged DashClock to the right). Is there a way to disable all these extra widgets?
By the way, I did try disabling multiple widgets in the settings after setting DashClock to be my default and it kicked DashClock out and reverted back to the stock lock screen.
What has happened to my Lock Screen. Only yesterday I had to upgrade to 4.3 and my Swipe feature on the home screen was working fine. I don't like the pin option, I know there are reasons for it, security etc, but all the threads I have seen say enable multiple widgets or some such thing on lock screen, well after my upgrade it seems it is very different from what others are seeing in their lock screens.
I have tried scrolling left to right on the lock screen - nothing. I have looked through my widgets - nothing. I have attached a screen shot of what my lock screen looks like after the upgrade and I am not even sure how it went from the swipe option to the pin option because I did not intentionally change it knowing I prefer the swipe option.
I have a Samsung S5282 and when I make a call appear on the screen a lock and it blocks, not letting me have access to disconnect the call function for example.I've seen the phone settings and found nothing that disables this function, is it possible to remove this feature and how can I do that.Android 4.2
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung Galaxy S3 (rooted) running os 4.3
I trying to find a way to disable the lockscreen completly so I can use widget locker instead without having to swipe twice every time.
I have tried setting the standard lock screen to none but it still starts with the standard swipe lockscreen - I have also tried alot of different apps (noLock, no lock screen, etc) but none of them are able to disable the lockscreen.
I have also searched for solutions (here and a lot of other sites) but a lot of people suggest its a bug in os 4.3.
Running os 4.3 have succesfully been able to disable the standard lock screen.
Recently I hard resetted my tab. All the apps and files were gone but somehow it retains some setting, including wallpaper. Now, I want to use the image file of the wallpaper but I can't locate it anywhere, whether in the tab nor in dropbox or google drive. It is not the wallpaper that came with the device, it is an image I retrieved from the net somewhere, which I tried to google it too without any result. I mean, where did it get back that wallpaper from, and where did it store it now that it can display it as a wallpaper?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I change my wallpaper whether it be through app or through just the gallery, it changes just fine but then stops working and all I have to do is hit the sleep button and it makes it work again.

View 25 Replies View RelatedI have been reading through the manual for the Desire and it states that you can have a different lock screen wallpaper to the wallpaper when the screen has been unlocked.
However, I can't seem to manage this at all.
Does anyonw know if this is possible or if it is an error in the HTC manual?
The reason being I would like to have a nice bright lock screen image but a normal black background for when apps and widgets are all over it.
' I'm having a few issues with my Galaxy S3, I was getting an error 923 when trying to download or update apps from Google Play, I searched and found a solution is to clear the cache from Google Play and reboot the phone.
When I go to the "app Info" in settings the data and cache sections both say "computing".
Then 1 or 2 things happen, 1: it will drop back to the home screen or 2: the phone will reboot.
I am unbale to update or download apps any longer on Google Play.
Other issue is I have a SIM Lock pin set, now when the phone reboots it is not showing the unlock sim screen and boots straight to the home screen and not connecting to my mobile providers network.
I have to go into settings remove the SIM Lock Pin and then the phone will connect to the network and then set the pin again.
I have an AT&T note2. AT&T just had an update, now up to 4.1.2....
Since the update, my favorite app now will not work, the "No lock" app.
This is an app that will allow you to toggle on or off, the screen lock with pattern or code. You turn on screen lock with pattern, (or whatever security type), then use this app to toggle it enabled or disabled...
If the phone is in my pocket, (yeah, note 2 in pocket...lol.) I have lock screen enabled so it won't stay on if a text comes in, or an update / notification. If I'm using phone, I disable the lock screen, so even if the screen times out, the home button will bring it up and back to where I was without a swipe or lock pattern.
So, am I missing something? I think I have tried all the settings I can see, trying to get the app to work. The only way it works slightly, is if I set the phone to only swipe to unlock, no security. Then I can toggle swipe or no swipe. But that does me no good in my pocket. If a text comes in and wakes the phone up, my pocket can swipe to unlock or just keep the screen on from the moisture? or body heat?, or whatever the screen reacts to.
The app I use is No Lock by BoD... It has always worked on my S3, and worked on my Note2, before this last update.
so i have factory reseted my phone twice and used wakelock and i cant find a solution. looked through forums and found possible answers but all failed. i press the lock button on the right side then after about two seconds it turns right back on. when it sleeps again it turns right back on .. i have not found a solution to it. i have the 4.3 jellybean on it. the only solution that sometimes works is a lock screen app that i downloaded from the play store. but it really sucks when i get a message the screen turns on right then after it goes off then turns right back on .. so if i miss any notification it drains my battery because my phone wont stay off.
View 7 Replies View RelatedThis is for my Sprint Samsung S3 phone.
An hour ago it wanted to update to 4.3. I hit the update button and it rolls successfully after 10 minutes. No errors.
Comes up with the login screen to enter my PIN code. I enter it, hit OK and get an invalid password. It's the same PIN I've been using for the past year.
Other symptoms:
- There seems to be a sync icon on the notifcation bar on top
- every few seconds I get an "I crashed, but a report has been genereted to my developers to fix the issue".
- I tried entering the password up to 45 times wrong and still, no option to enter in my google password instead
Of course, shut down all the way, popped out the battery, waited a few minutes, popped back in and still same issue.
Is there any way to stop the pattern lock screen showing the trail of an incorrect swipe?
