There are all kinds of .png's in my gallery. and i cannnot figure out how to filter them? I would like to open the gallery and just have pictures taken, downloaded and screenshots etc.

I only have 155mb worth of pics on my phone but it shows 255mb on Settings>Storage>Pictures, videos. Where did that 100mb came from?

What the crown icon means? It is only on those 3 pictures out of all of my thousands... I can't even find it via google...
I'm using android 4.2.2 touch wiz. Samsung galaxy s4.
And the storage is getting lower every day. And I just found out that even though I store all the pictures and videos on memory card. But still size of gallery data is increasing. And right now it's 1.96gb.
how to decrease its size?
And one more thing this size 1.96gb is after deleting the thumbnails in miscellaneous tab.
How to remove pictures in gallery in jelly 4.1.1 cannot pinch to zoom out to enter "filmstrip mode. Have attempted to remove pics with file manager, no luck. I do have Picasa app in gallery but cannot find out to delete. Cannot transfer pics to pc to remove pics.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just noticed this morning that my picasaweb upload button is missing in my camera/gallery app.
There used to be a button in the upper-right corner (right next to the share button that allows you to select gmail, IM, etc) that would allow me to upload the photo to a selected album (or create a new album) in picasaweb. I'm not sure when this disappeared, but I noticed today that it is no longer there. I installed an OS update a day or two ago, so it may have been then. Now I see the share button, and a gmail button, and that's it. If I select the drop down menu from the share button, there is no picasaweb option there.
I can see all of my picasaweb albums on my phone, and am synced with google photo in my settings, but the upload button is gone.
Is it possible to hide the icon (on every launcher, not a particular one) of the gallery on JB, which is the same application as the camera? i want to keep the camera icon only. I readed, but i dont remember where, that you can do something like that with some .xml editing...

"Android System" is using 91% battery. I've disabled location services, backup and so forth, but the problem persists. I've tried flashing various ROMs, including stock sense, stock GE and Android Revolution HD 21. The problem is there with all of them.
My phone is lagging so bad, I do the partition wipes, & run system panel but I don't know what it means.. Look at & 1. Explain what they mean & 2. See if they can tell what's going on? I also took a pic of the app sucker app.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI want to be able to pull in google plus photos when using photoshop touch and autostitch apps etc. But their import options only access local folders on my device. I can download individual photos one at a time to a generic download folder from google plus to use, not full albums. When I try to create a new folder in gallery, and move the Picasa/Google Plus photos I get a notice saying "unsupported file." I read somewhere that there should be an option in gallery that makes photos available offline, but I don't have that. Just basically trying to be able to organize and download my g+ photos for use with these apps, in a less time consuming way.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI rooted my 4.2.2 jellybean Android phone and using the Root Explorer app, I transferred all my system apps to my Sd card hoping to increase my phone's internal memory. After doing that, my phone rebooted and all the phone's system apps were gone!!!!!.. like the calendar, launcher, browser, dialer, contacts, File explorer and everything else.. Now using mc pc, I was able to download a few system apps like browser.apk and tried re installing it on my phone but it won't. . .THe error was "App not installed".. I think the reason was because I have also transferred the "downloader.apk something" into my sd card that's why I was unable to download apps now.

How do I prevent this behavior and just have it use my 3G until I'm logged into a WiFi network or the WiFi network has an internet connection?

If you look in the folders they are all still there but all of the old photo's have the same Authored Date (7/23/2003 6:36 PM) and the same Date Created (5/9/1970 11:20 PM) the Date Modified is unique as it is the actual date the pictures were taken... These files are not hidden. I do not remember exactly what day I upgraded to 4.3 but it would have been right around the time that the issue started. I tried Scan Media and Rescan Media apps with no success.

When we opened the box and turned it on, it instantly started displaying the "System UI has stopped working" message. As soon as you hit the "Ok" button, the message comes back. Waiting to hear back from customer service if I should sent it back to them or manufacturer. I know there is a service mode of Android, but cant seem to find the right keys to hold down on power-up.

Whenever i try to replace even just one .png with another, it will either attempt to install and fail, or just get a parsing error.
Even if i don't replace, and just slightly edit one .png instead, it fails to install.
I have tried :
manually renaming the .apk to .zip, extracting, replacing or editing one .png , zipping, and renaming again = fail
using power archiver to replacing or editing a .png without having to unzip = fail
using the app "ninjamorph" to replace a png within the apk without having to install a new apk = fail (the app force closes after an edit)But if i just rename to zip, extract, Do not touch anything, zip, and rename again it installs fine... (so its not my compressing/decompressing process?)and i am currently trying to learn how to use eclipse to do it? It is a paid app.
I have tried editing my own .apk that i have purchased by getting it from titanium backup (it was in the asec folder) = fail and i have tried editing an .apk download from the webbernet = fail
I was looking over guides and they kept taking about a frameworks file but there is none?
I hate how slow the Gallery3D system app is. It's been slow on both my Motorola Droid & HTC Incredible running various ROMS, including stock. It's ridiculous, actually. The HTC Gallery is great by the way it organized photos and is easier to use, but isn't an option for an AOSP ROM [afaik]. Does anyone have a recommendation as to what my other options could be? View 1 Replies View RelatedI can send SMS and MMS with the stock 4.1.2. messaging app on wifi or cell data just fine, but no 3rd party app including Hangouts 2.0 will send MMS messages.
I've tried GoSMS Pro, Textra, Handcent, Hangouts,... nothing else will send an MMS. It tries, and then just switches over to retrying until I force quite the app, or send another regular, text only message.
I've tried signing in/out, Hard reset, turning it off and on again,...
I'm using stock 4.1.2. on a ZTE Savvy with Straight Talk on Verizon towers.
