Sprint S3 and Just upgraded to JB4.3 and now I cannot connect to my Win7 PC via USB. Port works as it charges the phone. Searched but not able to find out how to get it into MTP Mode.

Recently upgraded from 4.2.2 to 4.3 on my Galaxy S4 and since then the Hands-free turns on automatically every few minutes. It is annoying, especially since I do not use it. Tried to turn it off but it comes back by itself. The people at AT&T ddisabled it but it came back after a few hours.

I bought it unlocked from Canada, but I live in the czech republic. My carrier is vodafone.I don't understand why my phone can't upgrade to 4.3 OTA... it always says that I have the latest updates.I've tried connecting to Kies on my laptop, but I have the never ending "connecting" loop.

In order to upgrade the device to Android Jelly Bean or ice cream sandwich do I have to download another installer and the other programs or do I just add the ROM to the memory card and install it from the phone. I'm confused because the prerequisites for the higher versions are different from the ones I used to install the gingerbread.

So I accidentally deleted a huge file in my phone earlier and I was trying to recover the file by rooting the phone and using this apps called DiskDigger. I obviously made a huge mistake as I have now made it worse. Long story short, I've used tips from multiple websites and youtube videos so now my phone is basically forever showing this right now
After reading a few threat, some people suggested to hold the volume down + home + power but this made no difference. I can't switch it off, it will blank out for 3 sec and go back to saying "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again". I installed Kies but the device will not connect to my laptop for some reason. I have uninstall and reinstall Keis a few times. I've tried every single USB port on my laptop and even the extended USB port but none of them work too. I used my sister's android for Kies and it's working fine, so the problem is my phone.
I have already downloaded ODIN 3.07. I read in one of the thread that I have to put in a .tar file. Another person had the same problem as me (Stuck with 'Firmware Upgrade Issue') and it seemed to be working for him but I don't know what the .tar file is.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhat has happened to my Lock Screen. Only yesterday I had to upgrade to 4.3 and my Swipe feature on the home screen was working fine. I don't like the pin option, I know there are reasons for it, security etc, but all the threads I have seen say enable multiple widgets or some such thing on lock screen, well after my upgrade it seems it is very different from what others are seeing in their lock screens.
I have tried scrolling left to right on the lock screen - nothing. I have looked through my widgets - nothing. I have attached a screen shot of what my lock screen looks like after the upgrade and I am not even sure how it went from the swipe option to the pin option because I did not intentionally change it knowing I prefer the swipe option.
I will upgrade my stock ICS 4.0.3 to JB when that is released to my Samsung S2. But the problem is that I have removed a lot of bloatware on my phone like Game Hub, Music Hub but also the stock-clock (and more) with Titanium Backup. But will that cause a conflict with Jelly Bean when JB is being installed? The system is missing files and apps, and then JB is installed on top of that. Sounds like a setup for problems to me. Tried JB with uninstalled stock-apps on their old ICS?

The last action I did before it worked was to uninstall the 'microsoft outlook app'.
Panasonic P51 mic has suddenly stopped working. When I use a sound sensor app it is showing a reading of 20 to 25 dB which is way below 50 dB that my other android phone is reporting at the same time in the same room. I just bought a new Miracast capable smart tv (LG LN5700). When attempting to connect using the new screen mirroring option, the wifi direct connection is successful, the tv recognizes that the connecion is made, but the screen goes black and eventually the connection dies. My girlfriend also has an S3 on Sprint running 4.2 and hers works just fine.

Since the update, my favorite app now will not work, the "No lock" app.
This is an app that will allow you to toggle on or off, the screen lock with pattern or code. You turn on screen lock with pattern, (or whatever security type), then use this app to toggle it enabled or disabled...
If the phone is in my pocket, (yeah, note 2 in pocket...lol.) I have lock screen enabled so it won't stay on if a text comes in, or an update / notification. If I'm using phone, I disable the lock screen, so even if the screen times out, the home button will bring it up and back to where I was without a swipe or lock pattern.
So, am I missing something? I think I have tried all the settings I can see, trying to get the app to work. The only way it works slightly, is if I set the phone to only swipe to unlock, no security. Then I can toggle swipe or no swipe. But that does me no good in my pocket. If a text comes in and wakes the phone up, my pocket can swipe to unlock or just keep the screen on from the moisture? or body heat?, or whatever the screen reacts to.
The app I use is No Lock by BoD... It has always worked on my S3, and worked on my Note2, before this last update.
Facebook since the latest update will not work. Text loads but images dont show up and it takes forever to load pages and new posts. Only happens on WiFi all other apps load fine. The facebook app works good on cellular

I have a Prestigio Multipad 3670B running Jelly Bean. The Facebook app is configured to play notification sound upon receiving message etc., but no sound ever plays. The notification appears in the status bar, though. I have tried to reasearch the problem, but search involving the keyword prestigio doesn't yield much and in the general case, the problem is mostly reverse, i.e. the notifications popping up when they shouldn't.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have customer, who has crashing app on his phone. Previously we use to use aLogcat application on the phone. So user was just instructed to extract log from this application and send logfile to us. But unfortunately aLogcat is not working since Jelly Bean update.
How can I get logcat info from his device without asking him to install entire Android SDK? Any simple software on the phone or on the Windows computer can do this trick?
I was prompted to update swype this morning. I did so, and now everytime I select swype it closes automatically and I get the android keyboard.
- Swype Beta is checked in Language & Input (android keyboard is selected and grey in this screen)
- Choose Input Method screen. I select "Swype Beta". It flashes to Swype. Then reverts back to Android keyboard immediately
- I have cleared cache, etc. and rebooted the phone. This brought me to the new swype EULA and activation process. Which I did successfully. I rechecked all settings.
- I have since uninstalled. Reinstalled. Reactivated. Selected. Rebooted. Etc. Nothing.
Still nothing but silence from Swype about this set of issues that are spreading like wildfire across multiple Android forums I am a member of.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got a galaxy s4 today. The media controller on my galaxy gear was working fine before but now it isn't at all. Everything else is functioning except that. The devices are paired and I recently tried hard resetting the gear twice and no results.
Strangely enough, I've used my gear with 4.1.2 on my s3 and the media controller is the one thing that worked almost consistently.
