Jelly Bean :: Can Reset Google Opinion Rewards Settings For Account?

Nov 7, 2013

I would like to know if it is possible to reset my email account's information and settings for Google Opinion Rewards. During the beginning part of Google Opinion Rewards, you are asked to put in things such as your occupation, ZIP code, and full name. I was sleeping during the release of this application, and so a younger family member was playing around on my Nexus, they apparently put in a bunch of random information. Obviously, those choices affect the possibilities of receiving surveys, and I would like if I am able to reset it.

Jelly Bean :: Sign In To Android With Non-Gmail Google Account

Feb 2, 2014

I'm an Android newbie - I've just purchased an Android v4.2.2 tablet and I'm having a basic problem that I can't sign in (using the tablet) to my google account, which is not a gmail account: it's xyz@myisp.com. I can sign in OK from my windows-based PC and netbook - but from Android, the email/password are not recognised.

To get going I created a gmail account which enables me to sign in to my new android device: but obviously that doesn't give me access to all my google-related "stuff" that is in my xyz@myisp.com google account.

Jelly Bean :: Note 3 - How To Register Core Apps To New Google Account

May 24, 2014

I'm having an issue with Note 3,

I wanted to change my gmail account of my phone, in order to do that I did a factory reset to start over. I was all cool until I wanted to update the apps, but Play Store "My Apps" page is blank taking forever to load.

My theory is, core apps lock themselves to first google account entered to the phone, and doesn't do that again no matter how much you reset the phone.

Jelly Bean :: Can't Turn On Or Hard Reset Phone

Feb 15, 2014

Yesterday I was downloading an app from app store (my phone is LG Optimus L9) and suddenly it just displayed a window with only one choice "Restore phone". I didn't do anything for it to show up, it showed up all by itself. I tried press home or back button, I even tried locking the phone, but it didn't work. So I restarted the phone, it took 30 minutes for it to boot and it showed the same problem with the error "com.android.phone process stopped working". After finding on the forums I decided to hard reset the phone, but when I do, this appears on screen. Is my phone long gone or can I still restore it and use it somehow?

Jelly Bean :: Sony Xperia P - Phone Different After Factory Reset

Nov 10, 2013

I reset my phone (Sony Xperia P) to factory settings about an hour or three ago to clear up some of the junk that I'd accumulated, after restoring my contacts, messages , apps that I actually wanted etc; I'd noticed that despite still being on 4.1.2, there were a couple of things that were different about the phone.

The first one, is the menu that comes up when I drag from the left side of the screen, something which seems to bug out quite a lot, and generally seems a bit 'laggy' when ever I do use it, and sometimes after clicking an icon, nothing happens. The second, and probably more important thing, is the change of the 'swipe' lock screen I've noticed. Beforehand, when I pushed the unlock button, it would come up with the image I'd selected, and I could then swipe vertically to unlock it (with the picture opening like blinds from where I'd dragged). Now, upon unlocking, the default screen is my wallpaper with a circle encompassing a lock, which can be dragged left for a camera, right to unlock, or upwards to several icons to get to some apps (Chrome, Phone, the default e-mail, a magnifying glass (which leads to a 'This web page is not available' webpage on chrome, and Amazon MP3 - the latter of which I think is a bit random).

I can then swipe sideways to 'add widget' pages, or the other way to a 'social network in full' screen. I added a Skysports football widget, which appears in the middle of the screen, in front of a different colour screen each time (which can look a bit taccy), but can't seem to find how to remove it.

The 'social' page, although looking very aesthetically pleasing, doesn't seem to work. I'm logged into both Facebook and Twitter (however, not Instagram, as I don't use it), but it still says 'connect with' Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. When I try to log into Facebook, it comes up with a log in screen, which never actually logs in when I enter my details, and I haven't tried the Twitter/Instagram icons.

I imagine there are a few other things that I haven't noticed yet, as I haven't really messed about with it that much.
My questions are:

Can I remove the side-menu? Or perhaps make it less buggy? (the Facebook page takes me to a 'not available' page, which is quite annoying).

Can I change the lock screen back to the 'Swipe' I had before the reset?If not;

How do I remove widgets once added to the lock screen?

How do I get the social media page to work? That seems something that could be quite useful.

Do I need to add the email account for the second Google account manually as an email account? That seems stupid and everything else is working for both Google accounts and both have email sync enabled.

Jelly Bean :: Galaxy S3 Settings And SIM Lock?

Apr 10, 2014

' I'm having a few issues with my Galaxy S3, I was getting an error 923 when trying to download or update apps from Google Play, I searched and found a solution is to clear the cache from Google Play and reboot the phone.

When I go to the "app Info" in settings the data and cache sections both say "computing".

Then 1 or 2 things happen, 1: it will drop back to the home screen or 2: the phone will reboot.

I am unbale to update or download apps any longer on Google Play.

Other issue is I have a SIM Lock pin set, now when the phone reboots it is not showing the unlock sim screen and boots straight to the home screen and not connecting to my mobile providers network.

I have to go into settings remove the SIM Lock Pin and then the phone will connect to the network and then set the pin again.

Feb 23, 2014

I updated my Samsung Galaxy S3 to Android 4.3 yesterday.

Nothing's been the same. I actually like the previous formats for almost every app and widget better. The most annoying and debilitating has to be a random page that pops up that says "you need to periodically log in to your 'Samsung Account'"It displays my email on the top and provides a space to type in a password that I don't have at all. At first I thought it was legit,.I can't even find the bad app or route that this thing came from.

On an unrelated note, the email just became more of a mess and there's no option to check for the SPAM folder.

I have spent a lot of time setting up my apps into folders, but there is no app that I can find that will restore app folders. Many of the apps say the restore system settings, but it doesn't appear to me that those settings include the app folders. Coming from an iPhone, this is the biggest frustration that I have so far with my device. iCloud will restore all settings so that a new device is exactly the same as the one it's replacing.
