I've been given the task of finding an online or mobile app that allows multiple users to access and edit the one calendar and planner on their own respective devices. .. sort of like a mobile office Secretary!

My father is getting a Nexus 7 in the next few days and since I'll be using it a bit I've decided to put a custom ROM on it. I'm going with Paranoid Android because of the whole tablet UI thing, but I was wondering if it has a multiple user system, since I didn't see it listed in the features. I noticed an option for it on my Xylon ROM on my Galaxy Nexus and I'm not really sure how it works... Does it just change which Google account the device is linked to? Ideally it would be cool if I could set up a different launcher for each account.

During my use of one particularly rubbish app (that shall remain unnamed), I now have duplicate entries in S Planner for every single event. Is it possible to completely clear the S Planner calendar so that I can re-sync fresh from my PC using Kies3? I've tried deleting the calendar but it won't let me delete My Calendar.
I'm in a group next with numerous people, mainly iPhone users and group text works perfectly fine with them. However, when receiving text from other android users (GS3 & Note 3), I receive their text separately.
I am currently on a GS3 on 4.3 using the stock messaging app.
I have had my phone nearly a year and how it's got a cache of people I've sent emails to, because sometimes I want to retrieve an address I didn't think I'd need again... However, it also presents some annoying issues. It also saves every typoed address I've ever fat-fingered, and sometimes it comes up as the first choice when it was for someone in my contacts, and I then send a message to a bad address. If you go to write an email and press that little 'contact' button in the "To" field area, it shows me a list, and I don't know where some of those are coming from - it's some but not all of my contacts and some but not all of the addresses I've ever written to. I would like to clean out the fat-finger errors and also that mysterious list that comes up when you press the little contact icon when composing an email, without taking a scorched-earth approach. Googling around indicates to me that this has annoyed people for years and nobody's found a solution.
I have a Galaxy S3 running the recent update to 4.3.
today my phone's battery died and when I turned it on lots of apps (not all of them) started crashing. Market apps like papa pear saga (haha), songpop and several more are crashing. Also non market apps are crashing like my file manager which was already pre-installed on my phone. Also, when I checked my app settings, my phone showed that I have 32 TB left! I only have 4 GB in my internal storage. all of my apps are fully updated, my OS is up to date, I tried restarting the phone, nothing worked, I also cleared the cache of all apps. My phone is LG Optimus L9 running Jellybean.

I am currently using Handcent but sometimes I still get images as a slideshow. I'm also having to click on the message to download it before I can view the slideshow.
i have all my contacts and calendar in my google account. I added a birthday to one of my contacts (on the web version of my contacts google.com/contacts) and it shows up as expected in the web version of the calendar google.com/calendar (see screenshot).
However, when i view my calendar on the nexus 4 (stock calendar app), the new entry fails to show up, even though all calendars are fully synced etc (see screenshot).
I have checked the contact details on both google.com/contacts and on the phone and the added birthday shows up correctly, it's just doesn't seem to want to appear on the phone version of the calendar. I have checked that all calendars are synced on the phone (see screenshot)
I have tried clearing the app data and cache for the calendar app - no change.
I have a nexus 4 running android 4.3. On my gmail app none of the times or dates are highlighted so that I can add the event to my calendar. In contrast, when I log into my gmail on my PC I am able to use that function.

I just updated it from ics to JB then it wont access the recovery. but my phone works can text surf the net and games. my problem is i need to root it and i cant access the red recovery

View 3 Replies View RelatedThe last 3 versions of Android had the ability to set Reminders to NOW when creating events in the calendar. Now it appears that there is no such option and the closest to NOW is 15 minutes before. This can really be a major upheaval in people's lives, although it may seem trivial at first. Those that really need to do this quickly I think know this.
There seems to be no option to delete pictures, at least the way it's been in the last few versions of android.
Finally got the note 3 from Telus and loved the big screen + battery capacity!!(Ditched the iPhone 4 for note and it was a perfect choice!)
However, since I am completely a noob in android, how do I sync note, reminder and calendar with Google?
I like the stock ICS/JB scrollable calendar widget but it's not very useful since it only shows events 7 days out. I know there are a ton of third-party calendar widgets out there but most don't look very good or don't show event colors, etc. What I'd like is an exact clone of the stock widget but with the simple modification of showing 30 or 60 days out.

There is a MAX_DAYS variable which is set to 7 which is then used to set a SEARCH_DURATION variable. I'm not certain but this may be used in fetching events.
I am familiar with the SDK and creating apps but have never created a widget. I'm not sure if this code can be taken to make a widget with the desired modification.
I have a pattern lock on my AT&T Galaxy SII, but the screen has recently become damaged and unusable. Is there anyway to access the storage on my phone to retrieve files? Hooking up the USB cable does nothing because I can't put in the pattern lock.

I made an account on my wife's phone and everything shows up. I made an account for my wife on my phone and it shows no syncs available. So I know it's not an account problem, rather a software problem?

I forgot to copy calendar entries before a factory reset, However, I did copy the complete sdcard0 to a folder on the extSdCard.how to extrapolate my calendar entries from the OS folders? Where does Android keep calendar entries? I checked my Google and Outlook calendars and all my didn't sync.

I'm able to surf the internet using browser but, couldn't login into gtalk app, youtube app, googleplay app, can't signin or sync the device with google and, I tried factory reset couple of time changed modem settings, reset modem settings no chance whatsoever and also login with another gmail account which was created for this purpose. Also when I login into play.google.com browser it shows all the apps that or wiped after factory reset as "INSTALLED". What do I do? Also how can I upgrade to Android 4.2 Jelly Bean? I followed your tutorial and gained root access to my tab.
Also if I factory reset again will the root feature enable will be gone? Do I have to root again after one more factory reset if done? What about Android 4.2 Jelly Bean upgrade? Can I root again using same method if I get it to upgrade? Can I change the [url]... settings showing apps as installed even though they were lost after factory reset? How can I access this folder? When accessing the device via the Android File Transfer sofware for Mac, I don't see this folder. I have access to Android/data/com.google.android.apps.docs/files, but this folder contains no files but only another folder (called "pinned_doc_files_not_for_edit") which is also empty.
The lost pdf is still there, I can open it in the reader via the reading history, but I would like to access the folder to see whether other lost files (which are not in the reading history) are also still present. To be clear, the file which I can open is also not detected when searching the device for pdfs.
I have a Coolpad 8720L with its own interface built upon 4.3 Jelly Bean. It's not very good, and I'd like to install stock Android instead. How do I do this?

Here's what I'd like:
a calendar with daily, weekly, monthly view
To do lists (which can be synched with the calendar and crossed off the list if completed on a scheduled day)
Reminders, alarms, deadlines
Ability to work offline (in case I'm in an area w/o service)
Ability to setup recurring appts
Lists (e.g. grocery, books to read, people who owe me $, etc.) - where I can see ALL the lists in a nice lay out and be able to prioritize within lists
All of the above should have a widget so I can see my calendar/lists from my homescreen
Ability to add comments to any of the above
Does anyone know an app that does all these things? I've tried: TooDo, Astrid, Jorte, etc. Jorte seems to come the closest so far...
I have a new HTC Incredible on order.
One of the big reasons that I am switching phones was because my Windows Mobile calendar messed up the times (shifted things an hour off) and totally messed up my entire calendar. I cannot afford to have any calendar issues, so I need a ROCK SOLID calendar that is stable, syncs well, integrates well, allows for recurring inputs, and has nice month, week, and daily views.
Most threads about calendar apps were started several months ago, so I was wondering what the latest developments and updates to these apps and widgets might have done to your evaluation of them. Personally, I would love to get in on the public beta of PI when it is finally announced. I have used Pocket Informant and Agenda Fusion on my Windows Mobile devices before. I have never used CalenGoo, but something like that would be wonderful, too.

I select the page where all the apps are...select xbmc app...sometimes it flicks back to main apps page other times the screen turns black/blank. View 1 Replies View RelatedRecent switcher to Android and owner of brand new Galaxy S4 here. I have two separate Gmail accounts, one for work and one for home. Each has its own Google Calendar. Both accounts are linked to my phone.
However, I want separate apps on my GS4 to handle each Google calendar. My phone came with S Planner and I have added Google Calendar App (GCA) from the Play store.
On S Planner I choose to display the home account calendar - no problems so far. I then switch to GCA and choose to display the work account calendar. Great. However, and this is my problem, these apps now seem to be 'linked', such that when I then go back into S Planner from GCA it is now displaying the work account calendar instead of the home calendar.
In other words, changes in one app seem to be mirrored in the other app. Is there any way around this, so that each app only displays one account calendar?
I bought this nice minicomputer - MK812 Mini PC Dual-Core Android Camera Mic BT 4.2.1 and I relied on the fact that since there is Android 4.2 installed, I can use switching users, but unfortunately this function is disabled. I need to get it to work.
Of course, I googled. This is what I've already tried: URL....The problem is that this command pm get-max-users returns Unknown command get-max-users. Furthermore, when I enter SetProp fw.max_users 8, it has no effect, even after a reboot. The command pm usernameyouwanthere create-user is also without effect. URL....
App - 4.2 Multiple users feature enabler..This app can't be installed by Google Play (apparently MK812 is not a compatible device). Since I couldn't get APK anywhere to download, I downloaded the source code and compiled it and generated APK. Unfortunately, can't be installed either.I studied the source code and found out that even if i was able to get it installed, it wouldn't have worked anyway, because this app runs similar commands (as those above) instead of the user.
URL....This could be a solution even for Android 4.0 and 4.1. It works, but switching takes too long, because it requires a reboot and this switching is not integrated into the system.
