View 1 Replies View RelatedI have downloaded free software and games to put on my HTC Tattoo. How do I go about getting those files on my phone. Do I extract them first to my computer and then put it on the sd card, and where do I put the files in the sd card. Have tried all the files but do not see the application on my phone. I even tried HTC sync but with no success. I am new to the android phone, before that I was a Nokia and Sony Ericsson fan, but got convinced to get a HTC from my brother in law. His got the HTC HD and loves it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI cant send any files(pictures,mp3 files) through bluetooth.
Can anyone give some solution on how it works?
How can I read pdf files on HTC Tattoo. Is it possible to do so. Is there any software(free) which I should install on this phone to view pdf files.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIve read the specification sheet of the HTC Tattoo, and realized this feature:Java MIDP 2.0 - Yes
Then my question is, why cant I install .JAD nor .JAR files?
- ASTRO keeps opening the file, as some sort of text editor, and when uninstalling ASTRO, the phone tells me that its an unknown file type.I mean, if the phone supports Java MIDP 2, then it should be able to recognize the Java files... right?!
my newly bought Tattoo became unbootable a few days ago.It worked perfectly fine two days ago, then it started to randomly reboot itself, but after that, it became completely unbootable, as in, it was stuck at the "TATTOO" screen. The phone internals are completely untouched, no custom images, not rooted, no nothing, it's factory fresh. The battery is full too, and I didn't install anything that could possibly have corrupted the bootloader (or whatever is failing to load).I already tried to wipe the user data _TWICE_ (using HOME + BACK + POWER) with no success. I'm also perfectly able to get into HBOOT (using VOLDOWN + MENU + POWER), and connect via usb (using "FASTBOOT USB" from HBOOT). However, I can't completely wipe the cache with fastboot.exe from the android-sdk, since it doesn't allow it: "erasing 'cache'... FAILED (remote: not allow)".
View 7 Replies View Relatedis there an app which enable files transfer(word, pdf etc.)from PC to Tattoo.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've wasted 30 min of life trying to send files to my tattoo then i google and read one message on this forum WHY? why why why? what were they thinking of? in my past experience, i've found motorola phones to have some really really dumb illogical ways of doing things! this is my first htc phone i was liking it so far but this bluetooth thing is winding me up! question: what's the best way of getting a file transferred. I was trying to transfer a pdf - assuming in advance that I'll be able to read pdfs!
View 2 Replies View RelatedIt would be useful for me to have an application to exchange files between my Tattoo and a PC through WiFi.
I was thinking about something standard, like FTP or Windows file sharing.
Do you know if an app like this is existing ?
Where does the installation files over sync store in phone memory, after some time it has a notification low phone memory, where i can find and delete these files?
View 2 Replies View Relatedjust a quick question, I exchange files via bluetooth for work purposes just wondering iff there is an application to send files to all types of phones as Im having problems sending photos, videos, music to various of phones i.e. Nokia, Blackberry, Samsung and so on.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for a way to send files between my pc and my Evo. Mostly for uploading pictures from my phone to my PC and music from my PC to my Phone.
I'm talking wirelessly obviously. I don't enjoy hooking up my sync cable.
I haven't used MMS much. I use Android (CM 7.1) and from what I can tell at least using built-in "Messaging" application one can only send pictures, sound files (AKA "ringtones"), videos and contacts.
Is there a way to send other file types? TXT or PDF for instance? I was able to select "Picture", then use third party file manager to select PDF file but then messaging application said something along "this is not a valid picture file" and rejected it.
How to connect my phone so i could download picture,music....and all like this to my phone ?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am using Tata Docomo on my HTC Tattoo. Just want to confirm if tata docomo gprs works on tattoo.I Asked Tata people to send the gprs settings, but anyhow i am not receiving it.I tried to add manually, but didn't worked.
View 23 Replies View RelatedThat's what I want to know. If yes - awesome, if no - who can we "request" to root that thing?!? If maybe - what are the risks I'm running into? How can I aver those risks? Backup? System Restore? What are my options.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI cannot get files to transfer via bluetooth, either to another phone or to my car kit (ie/ contact lists, v cards). when i called for help i was told 1 - check with your network provider. (uhm, bluetooth doesn't utilize the network...) 2- the upgrade to 2.1 has caused many of the products to be unable to sync to other devices (well, the speaker works, i just can't transfer files. oh, that is odd - not a helpful reply) and 3 - try a factory reset. (how about, no. every time i've tried that nothing is fixed and i'm back to square one and having to reload all of my programs and data).it's been determined that my settings are correct. has anyone else found this issue and been able to overcome it?
View 2 Replies View Relatedokay so here is my problem. My evo wont do anything once paired to my computer via bluetooth. i paired it successfully, then later i wanted to send a file from my phone to my computer via bluetooth, (i have ftp enabled) and told my computer to expect a file and nothing. it doesn't work. also when i check the pairing profile on my computer, under services it is COMPLETELY blank, there should be some services like dial-up modem and bluetooth speakers and stuff shouldn't there be?
here is what i want to be able to do.
1. i want to send files from my EVO to my computer via Astro Bluetooth.
2. i would also like to use my laptop speakers via bluetooth, example, play Pandora on my phone using my laptop speakers via bluetooth connection
that is really all i want to do but i cant get ANYTHING working. could this be solved by rooting my evo? i really just wanna be able to do basic bluetooth functions with my phone.
If I want to send a contact in my contact list I can via "share" in the contacts menu. It then attaches a .VCF attachment to my email. I can then send it to anyone via e-mail. I tried this with and iphone buddy and he was able to see and save the file as a contact perfectly. He then tried to send me one, but Gmail says that .VCF files are unsuported. How is it that they designed the phone to send them but not receive them. What am I missing here.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to send music files, ringtones etc via bluetooth to and from the desire? View 3 Replies View RelatedI would send two or more files using ACTION_SEND on Android as an excerpt code...
But that code does not work with GMail, it attaches only the last file.
I have try sending and recieve stuff to and from HTC HD2 and my previous W995, and i dont have problem. But recently when i tried to send the Motorola (its an andriod phone but i dunno the model), it cannot go though.
View 1 Replies View RelatedHas anyone found a way to email or otherwise send mp3 files to another person? I tried the "Explorer" file manager which allows emailing files. I can email from gmail to another account. When I access that account with the standard email client, there is no option to save the audio file (or even just open) as there is for receiving image files. When I send from my non-gmail account to gmail, the file gets truncated to 5MB and can only be previewed within the gmail client. I tried the K-9 client but I can't set it up with my non-gmail account because you cannot select a port for the incoming server (only the outgoing). Thanks for any suggestions.
