So I just got my Magic, and I have not received my unlock code yet. But I was able to get into the phone and mess around while I wait. Now I can't seem to get back to the screen where I will enter the unlock code.Anyone know how to get here?Right now it says "no sim card in phone, insert a sim card"

It tells me to sign into gmail to unlock the phone, but when i enter my info it will not sign in. Just to be shure I had all the info right I signed into gmail with my computer and it works, but not with my phone..

However I can buy retail version of the phone and I would prefer HTC magic with 288 MB RAM version (for more RAM and memory, so that I can upgrade to android 2.0)

I have tryed many website (mobileincanada, cellunlock) but they still answer me that the didn't receive the codes for ''new'' Desires.I didnt ask a refund from cellunlock because he told me that if he doesnt have it, no one else will have it.so I'd better wait (1-3 buisness days) after 3 buisness days they still don't have it.I've spoken to an other admin from htccode dot com and they can 'give it a try'because they have acess to ''all' databases. As was indicated by Verizon, FRG22D made some changes that 'improved security.' In particular the ability for Exchange admins to enforce security settings. Well, I have a hosted Exchange account (personal email) with 1&1. Post manual update to FRG22D, I am now required to have a PIN code to unlock the phone. No unlock code and the pattern are not available. So, every time my phone comes out of 'sleep' mode, I have to enter my PIN. Incredibly annoying...
Ultimately, it's an issue to work out with 1&1 to see if this can be changed. I see no setting in the options presented to me in the OWA settings or in 1&1's XAdmin panel. If anyone happens to know if this is easily changed... please let me know. Sorry for the partial rant, but I am incredibly annoyed.
I just bought a T-Mobile Note 2 (I searched that specific forum for answers as well) and am awaiting a sim unlock code from T-Mobile. (I know I can downgrade to 4.1.1 and unlock it via the hidden call menu but at this time I am not opting to do that). I flashed the 4.1.2 Root Injected Stock Rom. My question is, (which maybe I should have asked before hand) Will I be able to use the sim unlock code that T-Mobile provides me with despite being on the root injected 4.1.2 stock rom?

I've had my Magic for about 3 months now and I do like it a lot, but I want to back up my list of telephone contacts to the sim card so that in the event of a change of handset in the future, my contacts are safe and can be restored to another phone.I can import from the Sim card ok, but how do I do this in reverse? I don't want to sync with Google, I want a copy of my contacts safe elsewhere. Is this possible?

However, i'm a little nervous about bricking my phone or finding that the cyanogen rom is too buggy or not as good as the stock one. View 4 Replies View RelatedI have the HTC Desire with Android 2.1. I sync it with exchange, but it tells me I have to have a "phone unlock code" to sync with exchange. This more or less ruins the phone for me, as I have to type a password EVERY single time the screen locks (or go to standby). Only way I can see around it is forwarding all my exchange mail + syncing all my exchange contacts and my exchange calendar with g-mail, but that is a rather poor solution I think : I have g-mail sync running as well, and that does not require me to have a "unlock password" Does anyone know a way to get around this annoying "you must have an unlock code to sync with exchange" issue?
