HTC Incredible : Blinking LED/Charger Cutting In And Out
Sep 8, 2010I only noticed this after I installed the 2.2 update. Now, sometimes when I plug the charger in, the LED blinks amber. It is not just the LED blinking, it is blinking because it charges for a second, then stops, then charges, etc. It does this with the OEM AC charger, and any other charger I use, however, it does not do it all the time, it seems random. When it is doing this, it doesn't actually charge. I turn the phone off, plug the charger in, it's fine, turn the phone back on, still fine. It's somewhat annoying. Anyone experience this or know what's going on? It's definitely not an overheated battery.

setCPU with the usual/common profiles i see posted all over (screen off, battery<50%, temp)
Display down to 50%
WiFi on at home and work
8hrs unplugged
8hrs Uptime
3hrs awake time
40% remaining
Time without a signal: 4% (i have wifi connected most of the day, and JD manages my mobile data for 1/15)
Mostly phone calls and emails. Only 5 txts, no GPS, no camera, no apps. My Usage chart shows the highest item is "Voice Calls" at 32% which was only about 20 calls, longest one was 25min.
Thats actually not that bad, but not much better than i was getting from Stock.
Since the major reason i rooted was for the battery saving capabilities, im obviously here asking you guys what my next step is. Are there other ROM/Kernal combos that are known for having insane battery life? Do i put a different kernal with this ROM?
I feel like im barely using the phone! I feel like if i did play some games, surf the net, maybe use tether, etc. That id be dead before noon. i understand 12-16 hrs with heavy use is actually great. Im posting this because with my current root combo, its not terribly better than my stock setup, so i want to see what else i can do. This isnt a "omgz the battery sucks!" thread. i would have the 3500 in a heartbeat! If they just made a decent case for it!! I have the Siedo Active, and love it to death! i plan to try some ROM/Kernals, im just wondering if there is any known winning combo specifically for power users who need extended battery and who are willing to sacrifice some performance for it.
HTC Desire : Phone Keeps Cutting Off During Call
May 8, 2010Has anyone else had this problem with their HTC Desire?
My phone will keep cutting off in the middle of calls for no reason. First time I thought it might be my cheek or something pressing against the "end call" button whilst talking, but after this happening about ten times since I've had the phone in two weeks, I'm pretty sure theres something wrong with my phone. That or whoevers calling me has problems with their phone :
At one point the sound just cut off mid-call andalthough I could hear the person on the other end they couldnt hear me...
I don't know whether this is a HTC Desire problem noted before or it might just be my handset.. I went to an Orange store who said maybe the sensor at the top of the phone was not picking up on my "being there" by me holding it badly or something but i have no clue.
HTC Eris : Phone Calls Cutting In And Out
Nov 10, 2010I have a strange issue with my rooted Eris.. Currently running V38 however I have had this issue since at least v30.. Every call I make, after the 1 minute mark I hear a beep and it seems like my call dropped. About 5 seconds later its back.

Aug 29, 2010Anyone else having an issue with a bluetooth headset cutting out on the Evo. It started on a call and got so bad I ha to switch to the handset. it also did it playing MP3s right off the phone. This was a $90 motorola unit. So I took it back and picked up a nice Jabra for about $80 (just showing these aren't cheap units). I have not used the Jabra for a call yet, but the music cuts in and out for a few seconds every minute or so. Phone was in the holster on my hip so it wasn't a distance issue, the music is stored on the phone so it isn't a bandwidth thing.

May 21, 2010Suddenly, when playing audio using MediaPlayer in an Android 2.2 emulator, the audio seems to be getting the last 5-10% cut off. I'm using the exact same code from previous API's, with just what is below for mp3 playback. I changed the API level of my app to 2.2 for external storage, but the app still runs perfectly on any emulator using <=2.1 and on my Moto Droid.

HTC Hero :: Calls Cutting Out After Few Minutes
Oct 4, 2010Had problems with their Hero cutting out during a call? After a few minutes (less than 5) I find I can't hear the other person and then it cuts out. I'm on my second Hero (first one had touch screen problems galore). I love my phone but I'm reduced to using it for email and text as I haven' t got the energy to fight with T Mobile again....

Dec 15, 2009I am trying to play a 0.1s tone using audio track. I have done this succesfully in stream mode by calling play() then writing the array of short containing the data. However when I use STATIC mode and also in stream mode if I write the data before i call play() only about 0.06s of the audio is played. I have tried changing the buffer size but this has not effect.My understanding is that I have to write the data before I call play for static mode to work. Does anyone know what could be going wrong here?

Sep 4, 2010Has anyone had the same problems with their X10's as me? When trying to make a call (to landlines or mobiles) my phone often cuts out with a 'beep'. Sometimes its after no rings, sometimes after 4+ rings and even sometimes after the call has connected. Each time, after i call the person back, it connects without a problem.
I've taken the phone back to the shop where purchased for a repair and tried factory resets and software updates but with no success. Any ideas anyone? I'd love to get this fixed because this fundamental flaw (possibly just with my handset) is ruining my X10 experience.

Apr 9, 2014The oddest thing keeps happening to me. Every now and then, my data just shuts off. It is gone for about ~15 minutes to an hour, then comes back on.
I recently bought a used Galaxy S4, and when I first bought it this happened about every day, then it stopped for awhile, now it just happened again (about 4-5 days since it last happened) so I figured I would try to find out what's going on.
But what's happening isn't making any sense. I have full bars, I have t-mobile on the top, I can make calls, and my data is turned on. It's just not working. Turining data off and on doesn't work, neither does resetting the phone. The only thing that works is waiting. When my data is on, I almost always have fast 4g data, I don't have any issues with connectivity.
I took a screenshot of my Settings screen (with private data removed) for reference. at first the only time this would happen is when I would leave a Wi-Fi connection. I figured the phone just was taking too long to "realize" i wasn't on wi-fi anymore and mobile data needed to turn back on. However, I turned off wi-fi for the last week or so and have been using mobile data exclusively. That's when it started happening less, it's happened about every 3 days since I turned off my wi-fi and about every 1 day before then.

Aug 3, 2010Does anyone encounter this problem? The phone will auto cut off conversion. Even though I remain at the same position throughout the conversation. It will just cut off suddenly. Is it a problem with the phone that I need to bring down to the customer service? My worst experience was to call my friend 3 times for a 10 minutes conversation. The phone just cut itself off and I have to call her again.

Motorola Droid : Recent Voice Call - Outgoing Sound Cutting Off
Dec 22, 2009I'm wondering if anybody else has experienced this issue. It doesn't happen all of the time, and I can't seem to reproduce it. It only started recently - within the last few days.
On some calls, after talking for a minute or so, the person on the other end will just not be able to hear me anymore. The call is still connected, and I can hear them just fine, but I end up having to disconnect and call them back due to the strange muting problem.
Anyone else experience this lately? I haven't installed any new apps recently - minus updates - so I'm not sure it's an app conflict. Just trying to pinpoint the issue and see if I'm the only one.

If not could someone make me one from a picture or explain how to reduce the pic to a sice for the Icon? Currently I downloaded the Windows 7 icon pack from the market and i'm using the default cell phone icon which looks like an old canybar Nokia.

Apr 26, 2010I bought an Eris on the 28th, but returned it sunday within the 30 day grace period to wait for the incredible. And its killing me xD.I had to switch back to my winmo 6.1 HTC vx6900, and switching back from android is rough. Truly, it is a day to day struggle that we must cope with one step at a time. Tasks that used to be so simple, like editing a contact or sending a text, are now unwieldy by comparison.Who else here has had to do this? Am I alone in having to deal with this?

May 2, 2010So i think i might have the first shattered Incredible screen. I dropped it from two feet onto the metal camera protruding part. It hit with very little force. You can barely even see the mark from falling. So i pick it up and notice the entire screen is shattered when the screen was face up, the screen didn't even hit the ground! I can't believe how thin the Incredible screen is, it literally crumbled jut from the force of a light fall. I'm unimpressed in the build quality of the glass. I want to contact HTC about this and see if they can help me out, it seems like a manufacturing defect, maybe a weak screen? I need to find the biggest case that i can find for my replacement, one that could absorb a fall if it falls on the back part. I am thinking maybe a pillow as a case? That might help. Now im out ANOTHER 100 bucks to make an insurance claim on this. I highly recommend people keeping the insurance, the screen blows up even if it is not directly the part that hits if it is dropped.

May 31, 2010I recently bought a window mount off ebay for my Inc and have been loving listening to Pandora and using the Navigation program while driving.
This weekend I drove a couple of hours back and forth to see a friend and both times I had issues with the amber notification light starting to blink. I had the phone plugged into the Verizon car charger. Could it be that the battery was getting too hot and this was the phones way of notifying me? I live in Florida so it would make sense that the phone was getting rather warm in the window mount.
Anybody else have this issue?
Can this cause any damage to the phone or the battery? Am I OK as long as I pull the phone down out of the heat whenever I notice this happening?
HTC Incredible : Call A Phone Number Is In Calendar Entry On Phone?
May 7, 2010Does anyone know a way to call a phone number that is in a calendar entry on the Incredible? This is a feature I used 10 times a day on my blackberry and I can't believe there wouldn't be some way to do it on the incredible. I am a sales rep and when I set up an appointment I put the name of the office and then I type the phone number right next to the name. When I opened the entry on my bb I could then click on the number to initiate a call. The incredible doesn't seem to recognize the phone number as anything different than text..

Jul 6, 2010Is there any way to set the screen timeout while you are on a phone call? There are lots of times that while on a call you need to hit a number to transfer and the screen times out way to fast and you end up accidentally, while trying to get the screen to wake up, that you hit the wrong number whlie the screen is dark. There has to be a setting somewhere for this. Any suggestions?
