Game loft recently (kind of) released ten (not counting Asphalt 5) high caliber games onto Android, ported form the iPhone versions. These game must be bought from Gameloft's website, where there are no free trials and no refunds. At first, some of the games weren't working right on certain phones. However, I messaged them about this, and they said they have fixed all of the games for all phones. I have been able to get nine of ten to work on my HTC Incredible (more on that later). Since there are no trials, and no refunds, I have decided to review all of the games to help future consumers out. While these versions are iPhone ports, they are still different and have their own sets of features (and glitches), so iPhone specific reviews won't do. These are all played on my Incredible, but I can confirm all (nine not eight) work on my dad's Droid too. Each game costs $5. Click on the games' names to go to the information and download pages.I want to make sure to fully play through a game before reviewing it. I will post reviews as I finish games. These aren't going to be super in depth reviews--just what you need to know. Note: I treat 5/10 as average, not 7/10 like most reviewers. However, these games are of such high quality, you are going to think I am treating 7/10 as average.

View 4 Replies View RelatedFor reasosns I can't figure out, some of the high end GL games aren't available for the Desire, even though it's a high end phone.I'm thinking of Modern Combat Sandstorm, NOVA, Assasins Creed.I know some people with the Desire have these, and I'd LOVE to know how they got them, as I cant even get ones acquired from less savoury sources to work. The way I see it, is they're all Android games, so if I was to purchase one for the Galexy S, would it still work on the Desire? Or is there something in the coding that makes them phone specific?

As with all of Gameloft's HD games, Let's Golf usually costs a penny shy of . The game can't be transferred to another device or reinstalled (even if it's backed up), so don't uninstall it or do a hard reset unless you want to contact Gameloft to see if you can get it again. It isn't clear how much longer the free game will be available, so get it now! o download go to the gameloft.com site on your evo using ou default browser.
View 49 Replies View RelatedHi was wondering if someone could help me out. The other day while holding my phone somehow a game was all of a sudden on the screen. It was a game with a maze where you had to get the ball to the hole. I never installed such an app so I believe its a game that is just pre loaded on the phone does any one know how I can get this to come up again?

View 11 Replies View RelatedI was excited about trying out the demos for two Gameloft Games on my EVO that look to have amazing graphics, Dungeon Hunter and HawX but stopped before install due to what I perceive to be sketchy permission requirements.I am very leary about giving a game some of these permissions and would like to hear some opinions. Why would it be necessary for a game to "edit SMS or MMS, read SMS or MMS, receive SMS", "send SMS messages" or "change my network connectivity" and "change wi-fi state"?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if anyone was running any Gameloft games on their X? I downloaded Let's Golf and it works on the X fine, except there is no sound.I reinstalled twice and nothing. The sound worked once the first time I installed it in the intro, and then it stopped. Next time I reinstalled it, nothing, no sound. Media volume is up all the way and everything. Anyone have a problem like this?Or anyone have success with other Gameloft games on their X? Besides the sound issue, the game is very fun, and very smooth on the X.
View 2 Replies View Relatedown the Droid X, and also an iPod Touch, and I recently found out that some of my favorite iPod games, such as Hero of Sparta, Sandstorm: Modern Combat, and N.O.V.A. are available for android phones as well, but after many searches in the Android Market, I could not find these? Are they just in the process of being ported over? And I see other people talking about how awesome the games run on Their Droid X.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was just curious which Gameloft titles people own or have tried, and what their take on them is. I'd also like to know what devices you are running them on (although I guess your pot would indicate that under your name...) and what problems, if any, that you have encountered (bugs, force closes, etc.). I have the bought Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X. and Dungeon Hunter, and here are my thoughts on them. Plane graphics are awesome, and the game play is pretty cool. Basically just a scaled down version of the PC/Console game. 13 missions give you a fair amount of gameplay and you can fly over 20 different planes and upgrade their weapon loads which is pretty cool. Gameloft LIVE and the achievement system make the game fun to play time and time again. I also like using the Accelerometer with this game too, and it works like a charm. I have not run into any bugs or anything of the sort with this game.Graphically the best RPG on the market (at least until Pocket Legends comes out, but even with that the two different styles will make them unique). Quite a few quests to do, hundreds of armor upgrades and ways to customize your characters. Gameplay is pretty smooth as well. The storyline and conversations get kind of cheesy at times, but overall a decent game. I encountered one part of the game causing a force close every time. At the end you defeat the last boss and there is a portal you are supposed to take after. This portal alone causes force closures every single time. Anyone have any of the other titles? How is the online multiplayer for those that have it (such as Modern Combat and NOVA)?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI develop Android appliations for a living. As always, we have a very short time to get a finished product out the door and we're relying on the Android to be one of our flagship phones.I've got no time for "phone exploration" or hobbying around. I need technical information, and IN PARTICULAR, information about the hard problems. The easy problems that everyone writes about is not helpful for what I need. I want to be able to pick up the phone and call someone on the Google development team to get some quick answers and information that's not found in the documentation, (which by the way has more holes in it than the moon has craters). And, I'm willing to pay for the kind of support I need. I can even visit Google peeps at the development lab in Kirkland.I can make the case to my boss for paying for this kind of live support, but I can't make the case that "I just can't do stuff" on the Android. What I need has GOT to be done and quick. And I need quick technical information.

View 1 Replies View RelatedA few months ago Google sent top market developers a feww phone (Droid or Nexus).I was one of them and received a Droid.I just now called in to activate the Droid on my Verizon account and was told that it is not activated. They said that the ESN number is tied to a business account and currently active.Verizon said the only thing I can do is to contact Google, who sent me the phone, and work it out with them. The paperwork with the phone came with no numbers or email addresses.I have tried calling the Nexus support line, they could not direct me anywhere. I have tried emailing the automated robots that sent me emails about the phone. Is there anyone at Google that I can contact that would be able to help with this?

I couldn't find much info and sorry if I sound newb, but Does the phone in anyway support Java games? Like the gameloft types? I ask cause my last few phones have been touch screen with no buttons and I'm dying to play some older games with the keypad. heh. I've also got a friend with an N96, which brought back memories of the old taco phone I had. Can this phone push out the same kind of power?
