HTC Incredible :: Outlook And Bluetooth?

Jun 14, 2010

I switched from a BB to the Droid Incredible. With the BB I could sync my outlook contacts and calendar via bluetooth, with the incredible I can do it with the "HTC Sync" plugging into the usb but I can't seem to find a bluetooth option?

There must be one? right? I mean, they thought ahead so people don't have to bring the wire with them everywhere?

HTC : Possible To Sync Desire With Outlook Via Bluetooth?

Jun 8, 2010

Does anyone know if there is a way to sync the Desire with Outlook calendar via bluetooth?

My previous phone was a Nokia and I was able to sync via bluetooth.

Its just annoying having the usb cable double as the AC charger connection too. I have to keep moving it from the bedroom to the laptop every day. Why didn't they give us a separate usb cable and ac charger in the box?

HTC Incredible :: Calendar Sync Outlook To Google To Incredible

May 4, 2010

I came to the Incredible from a Blackberry, and to sync my Google Calendar/work Outlook Calendar/Blackberry Calendar required me to export my Outlook Calendar as a .CSV, delete my Google Calendar, import the .CSV to Google, delete the Blackberry Calendar, and then run Google Sync.On the Incredible, I could not find how to delete the cached calendar until this morning. Just go to Settings, Applications, Manage Applications, Calendar Storage, then click Clear data. Then back out to Settings, select Accounts & sync, then click Sync all.Befor someone suggusts that I can just use the HTC Sync to cut the steps down, I cannot connect the Incredible to my work PC, and even if I could, I cannot run any "unapproved" software, and work won't approve of HTC Sync since they dont see a "business purpose" to it.

Android :: Got Outlook Sync'd On Phone - Turn Off Outlook Calendar Notifications?

Sep 28, 2010

I finally got my work email sync'd on my Android phone (Outlook). However, all my annoying meetings from work are now popping up as "notifications" in my phone's status bar. I can't stand corporate meetings, which are a colossal waster of time, and i don't want to be reminded of all the meetings on my work schedule. I was able to successfully turn of the Outlook mail notifications on my phone (and I still get Gmail notifications, since they are two separate email systems, which is exactly what I want). How do I turn my "Outlook calendar reminders," but still be reminded of my Google Calendar reminders, which is my personal, and far more important, calendar?

HTC : PC Outlook Sync With Incredible

May 1, 2010

I know this has been discussed all over the internet but I'm a computer "user" only and don't particularly understand a lot of the computer terminology in these discussions. I would like some very simple straight forward answers in lay person language. I work in a company that uses Microsoft exchange and outlook. I currently have a blackberry that syncs everything wireless and seamlessly (ie., contacts, emails, tasks, calendars, notes). I would like to get a new Verizon Indredible but company does not and won't enable active sync (whatever that is). My question is is there a program that I can install directly onto my office PC myself that will "push" or otherwise wirelessly sync all of my outlook information that is currently synced on my Blackberry? Pardon my ignorance.

HTC Incredible :: Need To Sync Outlook Contacts?

Jun 8, 2010

I am using HTC Sync to sync my Outlook contacts and my Incredible. I noticed that some of my contacts weren't making it to my contact list on my phone, but they were on my PC. It was very random. Some were there, but some weren't. I was trying to fix it just now and somehow deleted 52 contacts from my PC!I guess when it sync'd this time, it used the contact list on the phone as the primary and since those 52 contacts weren't on the phone...it just deleted them from my Outlook. Very frustrating because I don't know which ones were deleted.

I don't know if this makes any difference or not.

Incredible : Way Of HTC Sync Works With Outlook

May 5, 2010

First my disclaimer: I offer my apologies if this has already been posted but in my searching I did not see it. Now the good news for those of us needing Outlook, Simply download HTC Sync for Eris (I am using the Incredible) found here HTC Mobile Phone Support - DROID ERIS by HTC (Verizon) - Downloads Install on your computer (also download the manual from the same page). Restart your computer. Attach your powered off phone to the computer via the USB cable, power it on and when prompted select "HTC Sync" (in order to see the selections your screen cannot be in locked mode) Hope this is complete, I believe it is. For more info (although some of it was more complex but still provides some ideas) go to.

HTC Incredible :: For Those Using Exchange To Sync (not Google Just Outlook)

Can't find the answer, but there are many unsolved threads. I have duplicate entries that are re-occuring events that were changed in Outlook via computer. They change, but show up twice on my DINC: same event, same time, same place, etc., but only once via PC.I am trying to solve and here's a question: when you go to calendar > menu > more > Calendars > what choices do you have and what do you have checked? I have "'My Calendar"; "Exchange"; and "PC Sync" and I feel like I should only have one checked, but don't knwo which one. I am new to Droid and want to stay, but this is killing me.

HTC Incredible : Two Separate Outlook Calendars Access?

Oct 15, 2010

I have one work calendar that syncs via Exchange and I have a personal calendar on Outlook on my home office machine. I would like to have access to both of them on my Incredible, but separately. As an attorney I cannot put my client information on Google servers.

I've been told by various support people (HTC, Verizon, etc.) that I can have two separate calendars if I get a second calendar app. I have not found one besides the included Droid calendar that syncs with Outlook.

Does anyone have a recommendation or solution for me?

HTC Incredible :: Time Zone Changes And Outlook Calendar Events

May 6, 2010

I have multiple events (ie birthdays) as all day events. That means that these are set up in Outlook 2007 from 12am to 12pm on selected day. Recently, I went from Central to Eastern time zone. While there, I synced my phone with outlook using HTC Sync and now I have an additional occurrence of the event that goes from 11am to 11pm and spans into the previous day. I thought this would fix itself once the phone was back in the right time zone and was resynced, but it doesn't.

Has anyone had any issues syncing 2010 microsoft outlook calendars on their droid incredible? When I first set it up it was super easy and had no issues (i was on 2007). Then my work computer got upgraded to 2010 and it worked for a bit and now the calendar won't sync correctly. Contacts and emails have no issues. I get an error message on my calendar though and only certain appointments sync. I tried to delete the account and reset it but each time I did that it double up appointments in my work computer outlook and still didn't get all appointments on my phone. Now I am afraid to try that again since it is a pain to delete all the duplicates.

HTC Incredible :: Fails To Sync Outlook Calendar / Software Seems To Freeze

Apr 29, 2010

I need to sync my Calendar and Contacts from Outlook to the Incredible. For multiple reasons, going from Outlook to Gmail to Incredible is not an option for me. I installed HTC Sync and was able to get all 800+ of my contacts to the Incredible. But the Sync keeps failing when it tries to move my Calendar over. I've left the default setting to sync future appointments and 20 days before today. Sometimes the HTC Sync software seems to freeze, but most times it does connect to the phone but eventually gives me a timeout/failed to connect message. I've tried rebooting both PC and phone but the problem persists. Running Outlook 2007 on XP SP3 machine. Running HTC Sync 2.0.25 that came on the phone (as apparently there isn't a version for Incredible avail to d/l from HTC support yet).

HTC Incredible : Appts Made On Inc Go To Deleted Items Folder In Outlook

Jun 7, 2010

I searched but couldn't find this problem. I use the Google Sync software on my PC to sync Outlook 2003 to my Google Account. I use the 2 way sync option.

When I create an appt. on my Inc. it shows up in my Gmail calendar fine but when the gmail calendar syncs to outlook that appt does not show up in the outlook calendar but goes directly to my "deleted items" folder and shows an appt date of 12/31/1997 no matter what date it is scheduled for.

Appts made from outlook synced to Google work fine and vise versa. Only appts made on my phone have this issue. I hope this makes sense and any help would be appreciated since I love the fact I never have to connect my phone to my PC.

HTC Incredible :: Talking In Car / No Bluetooth

Ok so my bluetooth headset is usually planted on my ear and ON for the most part of the day. Today I decided to give my Incredible a whirl with using it as a music player while in my car, so that I don't have to also carry my ipod. Plugged it in to my auxiliary jack and music sounded GREAT! Then I received a phone call and the phone rang through the speakers, which I expected, as well as expected to hear the voice of the caller....what i DIDN'T realize was that my bluetooth was on my ear but OFF for the entire conversation and I was talking back through the car's speakers!! I don't have bluetooth in my car so found this pretty awesome and thought I'd share this small wonder with anyone else who might be interested
