The problem is exactly as it sounds. I have my RSD up, it recognizes my phone, i have my SBF selected, but the start button is grayed out and I cant select it...

May 4, 2010Coming from a Treo 700wx that I use thru Active Sync, and connect to my companies exchange server.
My Treo when locked, would only show the time, My name and a telephone number. In the case I lost it, some good samaritan could contact me when they realize the phone was useless with out the PIN.
I cannot find anything similar to this on the Incredible.... Can someone assist me?
Android :: Froyo 2.2 Updated - Search Button Only Limited To 3 Options
Aug 12, 2010Just updated my HTC desire to froyo. So far I am loving the chrome2phone features and the wonders of mobile hotspot. Everything seems faster in rendering and processing. Also I am using dolphin browser and its a great browser compare to our stock. 1 word - tabs. Just wanna share 1 noticeable difference that kinda made me disappointed.
Our search button.
Back in 2.1. Our search button searches everything, from people contact, internet, maps, music etc. Now the search button only limited to well even tho there are 3 options. All, Web, App. If u choose web, it searches the web. If u choose App, it goes to market app. If u choose All, it just went to the web. Now if I want to search for people contact. i have to open people app then click the search button. If I want to search something in my email, I have to open mail app then click the search button. Seriously, tho 2.2 is really impressive with the features. Losing the old search functionality is. Well I have to click twice to get to what I want...
Now 2.2 people app> search button=profit
then 2.1 search button= profit.
Android :: Trying To Buy App / Credit Card Greyed Out
Aug 1, 2010I'm trying to buy an app (NavDroyd) for my HTC Desire but when I hit "Buy" it comes up with two buttons, "Credit Card" and "Cancel". "Credit card" is greyed out so all I can do is hit "Cancel" and go back round in the circle.This is the first time I've tried to buy an app.Can anyone tell me what to do next ? I've tried to help myself but a good hour going round the Android and Google troubleshooters and whatever else they are called has been unsuccessful.

Oct 29, 2012Im using Jelly Bean. I have a ton of "trusted credentials" which i dont know where they came from. (a few are in another language, which makes me concerned). I would like to clear them all out, but doing them one by one would be extremly tedious and time consuming. I see their is an option to remove all certificates, however it is disabled/grayed out.

Apr 19, 2010I'm brand new here and also just recently rooted my Droid. I installed Fabolous' NexTheme ESE81 R2 ROM using the SPRecovery method, and everything is running great except for one thing. When I search in Google maps and find my destination, the navigate button is greyed out and is unclickable. If I do a voice search of say, "navigate to [Destination]", the navigation app loads up and works fine.
What I am wondering is if possibly I missed something when installing the ROM that caused some conflict with Google maps? I searched around here and also other forums and didn't find much of an answer. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sep 20, 2010I played around with Tasker back when I first got the Incredible, and it was really neat, but I didn't buy it since the Mobile Data Off setting wasn't working for CDMA phones.It was recently updated and this ability was supposed to be live now, but it still doesn't seem to work for me.I work in a very shielded building so when my phone senses the wifi network I want it to turn the mobile data connection off to prevent signal searching and associated drain.Anyone else have any luck w/ this? It's an awesome app w/ a lot of control, but this not working just leaves me using Timeriffic instead.

Aug 3, 2010If I update my radio, will the camcorder work with CM6? or would I have to use skyraider's froyo rom to get a full functioning froyo ROM? nothing against skyraider, they are great ROMs it's just that I don't like sense so I'm sticking with cyanogen. if updating the radio won't help cyanogenmods ROM, does anybody know if they've made any progress with getting the camcorder to work?

Oct 20, 2009Since a few days, we get an increasing number of reports of users that are unable to uninstall multiple of our applications. Often people give a 1 star rating in the market then, is it possible to fix this?
Our users comments are for instance: "Uninstalled it yet still appears as installed with buttons greyed out" "This has been uninstalled from my phone for about a month and the icon won't go away. I'll click it and its like I have it installed." "Its a fun app until you decide to uninstall it. It then shows as installed in the market and seemingly a fixture. Can't get rid of it."
This is for 3 different apps, and none of these apps have been forward- locked. We have told some users that emailed us already that they should try rebooting their phone because the market sometimes gets stuck, but that didn't help.
HTC Incredible :: How Exactly Facebook Contacts Are Updated?
Aug 12, 2010Could someone explain to me how exactly facebook contacts are updated under "People"? By that I mean the picture and the status updates. Is it Friendstream? I am not using friendstream for live feeds. I only have sync contacts checked. I am using the actual facebook app. Let me explain..I have been playing around trying to get optimal battery. I am using the facebook app widget to view status updates. I have the facebook refresh interval at 30 minutes and all notifcations off (since they dont work)Under "people" I have all the facebook options checked. Since there are 2, I dont know which one is for facebook app and which is for friendstream. I want to make sure my phone is not trying to sync contacts twice. Also, anyone else having trouble with no twitter contacts showing up under "people"? Neither friendstream or the twitter app do it.

Sep 8, 2010I received the 2.2 OTA update. The phone is not rooted. Ever since 2.2, the Sense UI restarts dozens of times a day. By "restart" I mean the while HTC screen, followed by (loading...) with a spinner for about 10 sec. It happens sometimes when unlocking the screen, sometimes when returning from some app (totally random, no pattern that I can see). I know, "Factory Reset" or "Wipe and do RUU" or whatever other old wives' tale you want to dredge up from the posts here. Those drastic measures seem to have created new problems for as many (or more) people than they've helped.
Meanwhile I've seen references to this issue woven within threads on the many battery life and browser lag threads, but no thread on this issue itself. At the risk of creating more old wives' tales ("Uncle Festus told me I should"), I'd like to see if folks can detect a pattern or an app that might be making it happen. I suspect it's a bug in Sense on 2.2 and not some app. It started immediately after my 2.2 OTA, and before I installed any new apps. It seems to happen more often after some type of notification like an alarm or something that puts a notification into the pull down list. Did it start right after 2.2? When do you see it? Has someone found a cure apart from "reformatting the hard drive" (the ultimate sledgehammer)?
HTC Incredible :: Installed Updated Applications?
Jun 4, 2010I just went to the market this morning to see if there were any updates in the downloads option, but didn't see any, which is odd since I haven't updated any apps in 2 days. So I checked appbrain, and at least two of the applications I have installed have been updated. There's either something wrong with the market, or my phone. Is anyone else having this issue?

Oct 29, 2010Got my nice shiney Desire HD yesterday. First HTC phone, first Android phone. Impressed on so many levels, but also have some questions and one problem.
1. How can I remove apps that are pre-installed like soundhound, talk, stock. The remove option is greyed out.
2. Can I create a sub folder in the menu tree and move like games into one. I have created a sub folder on the home page, but cant rename it from 'folder'
3. My phone picks up WiFi signal at home everytime I am in range. Does this mean WiFi is always on, searching. My experience from my E71 showed me this kills battery. I seem to struggle to get more than 10 hours life from the battery, what gives.

HTC Incredible :: Updated Radio Then Did Nand Restore
Aug 4, 2010I unrooted and updated my radio last week to play with the first leaked froyo rom. I decided I did not like it and did a nand restore to my backup that was before the radio update. My radio shows that it is back to before 2.xxx.xxx but my h-boot is still updated. I wanted to play with a couple new roms that have come out since with working 2.2 but I have a few questions. Will I brick if I re-install the OTA radio? Do I have to downgrade h-boot first?
