I preordered on Tuesday, got the phone on Thurs, and it's awesome. But I def heard about and saw the free micro SD during checkout. But it isn't in the box or in the phone. Did everyone else get it??

Of course i got the free 2gb sd card with the phone, its still in the package. And today when i went to the verizon store to buy a car charger and the red and black gradient case they gave me a 4gb micro sd for free! So now i have 2 extra micro sd's that i didn't have last week. Not too bad. So for those who didn't know i guess verizon has a deal going on now where if you buy a car charger and case you get a free 4gb micro sd memory card. I"m not sure how much they retail for but its got to be at least worth $10-15. The case and the charger came to $50 + change. Just a heads up for those that need these accessories.

View 1 Replies View RelatedFrom what I was told, the Inc supports 32gb microsd card. So I ordered a Sandisk one...class 4. I got it and tested it out. It seems like it can transfer/read small files....but anything big it wouldn't read properly. It's funny cuz a movie file would transfer and play...but if I delete it and transfer the same exact file over, it wouldn't play. Or if I transfer music, some files play and some wouldnt. And some even would merge into one file. Like one song would play and then all sudden another song would POP up like what a DJ does when they mix songs together.
I know I might have a defected one but this is a legit Sandisk card. So what else could be the problem? Should I transfer the file one or slower so the card can read it....is there a way or procedure to using a 32gb MicroSd card? Lol. I mean I have a 16gb right now and it reads and transfers fine. With the 16gb I can literally drag a folder of 10 movies and it would be fine.
I heard anyone who ordered a dinc from 04/24-05/30 gets a free 2gb data card. Are these coming pre-installed or what?

It says in the package that it originally cost $14.99. Can I take it in to a Verizon store and exchange it for some accessories? I already have 2gb card and will likely be buying a bigger card anyways.

I didn't have a pre order for the Incredible but when I went in to exchange my current 10 day old phone for one the manager went to transfer the contacts over and apparently their machine cannot transfer anything to the internal Incredible memory. I received a free 2gb memory card to make up for it ($24.99 savings woot).
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen nandroid does a back-up, it does not error out or warn if the card runs out of space. It will go through all of the back up steps and even produce an MD5 parity check, but it is checking the file created- NOT the actual targeted files as part of its verification process (only the parity of the final file created). I discovered this (almost) the hard way, but noticed that my card showed zero space. The back-up should have been about 850mb, but was 395mb. I removed some files from my sd card and repeated the process and then did a titanium back up of apps.
Shortly after backing up, I tried to install the King #2 kernel and my Inc got stuck in a boot loop. Had I not caught the Nandroid back-up issue, I would have been in a rough situation. The sad thing is I have a 32gb card, but is loaded with PSX games, other game roms and MP3's. Even without this stuff and a smaller card, several nandroid back-ups can accumulate and take up more space than you expect. added: I am not sure if Titanium also does not verify the targeted files after a back-up. In summary: Check you card for space before backing up stuff!

So to cut things short, is it possible to take a Micro Sim card from AT&T put it in a adapter and put it in say, a nexus one or captivate? What id do is take the no-contract pre-paid data plan of the iPad 3G, most likely the 200MB/month for $15 and use Google Voice and other various VoIP clients to use as phone and GV for texts. I pretty much have WiFi where ever I go and pretty decent AT&T 3G in my area. Yes I know, it's just not that simple. Id have to change the APN on the device to att's broadband. Tweak a heck out the phone. 1.) Is it possible? Ive seen it done for a data only iPhone 2.) It is legal right?

My device appears to recognize it in Settings | Storage since it shows Total space for the SD card as "29.71GB". However, I cannot figure how to browse to the card nor how to move files to it from within the Android OS. From within the My Files app, I cannot change directories from what appears to be the built-in memory since the "Up" icon is grayed out.
How do I access the microSD card by browsing to it and moving files to it?
Thinking of buying a new micro SD card for my phone. As in can I drag and drop copy the entire contents of my old micro SD card into my computer, then drag and drop copy the entire contents into a new micro SD card, and the applications will still work fine?
