HTC Incredible : How To Clear My Contact List Of My Twitter - Start Over With My Google-saved Contacts
Aug 27, 2010I recently had my DI replaced due to a tech issue, but before I switched over I backed up everything using "My Backup Pro".
When it backed up my contacts, it backed up EVERYONE - including 550+ people I follow in Twitter. I did not have these as visible in my People (phonebook) list, just in Twitter. When I synced with my new DI, My Backup Pro installed every contact to my People list, as the app must have thought it was all part of my phonebook. I tried to make the list invisible like I had it on my original phone, but that did not work, so I deleted each Twitter contact manually from my People list. They no longer show in my People list (though are available to be made visible from Twitter).
This did not solve the problem. Any app that accesses my contact list (even Search People) displays the FULL list which includes my Twitter contacts. There is no long-press or menu options available to hide them.
I am willing to clear my contacts and upload the list again, as they are all backed up to my Google account, but I am afraid it would sync with the server and delete what is saved there.
Any advice on how to clear my contact list of my Twitter followers, or start over with my Google-saved contacts?

I had my boyfriend on one, but I wanted to move it to another page, and I accidentally deleted the icon (he's still in my People contact list). I found a program that imports them to the phone, but it replaces everything and I didn't want all those bookmarks in my browser. I exported my Google bookmarks to a HTML file and stored it on my SD card in the download folder and named it bookmarks.htm. I then went into the Droid browser and typed the following URL: content://com.android.htmlfileprovider/sdcard/download/bookmarks.htm
I then created a bookmark of the link.
Now, I open my browser, click on the bookmark, and all my Google Bookmark sites are displayed as links in order listed under their categories.

It seem that it uses the primary number that's selected in the persons contact info. As with the iphone, inputting a new phone number within seconds is rather difficult on the Droid. That got me wondering if there were any third party apps or at least a way through the device OS that will let me quickly add a new contact. So far as I can tell the quickest way is to hit Phone--> input # --->option key---> add to contacts ---> Create new contact. That is 6 steps just to take someone's number! There's got to be a better way.

Jan 22, 2010Every time I try to add a contact icon (from a saved image on my phone), my Magic saves a low-resolution version of the crop I make.
When I dial the contact, the picture looks HORRIBLE (it seems like the resolution is about 50x50px or something). I tried making contact icons from photos made with the phone or from high-res images that I transferred from my PC, but the outcome is always the same: the resolution of the icon is too small.
Is there a way to solve this problem? There's no point having a low-res image in a high-resolution image placeholder.
