Jul 23, 2010Am I supposed to be able to unlock my Incredible using WidgetLocker simply by pressing the Home button? Mine unlocks without needing to swipe when I press home. It kind of defeats the purpose if I can unlock it while it is in my pocket.

Aug 6, 2013I'm a bit into customizing my home screens to make it look like the ones on mycolorscreen.com and in those UCCW threads.
But there is one thing thats bugging me, and that is the use of app icons on the home screen. I dont like it, its too messy and too iOS'ish.
Some are replacing the app icons with other custom icons, or removes them completely, but i rarely see what i've been trying to do; to make custom icons that open a meny of apps (in one genre..)
Like one icon for music apps, and one for travel apps etc.
I have tried to fix this using tasker widgets, like this:
and when i click on the music icon, which is a tasker widget, it opens a tasker scene with a meny of 4 music apps:
This works pretty good, but i would like the tasker widget icons to be just icons, no subtext under the icon. There is no way in tasker to do this i think, i've tried to make a task with no name but it is simply not allowed.
I've also tried to make a uccw widget, but hotspots in uccw can open apps and shortcut, not a many of apps..
i know that i can make the launcher remove text under icons, but this doen not apply to my tasker widgets.

Apr 30, 2010I only have stuff on my home screen, a full screen weather widget and like two programs on another...that leaves 4 more screens with nothing on it. I have all the apps I need so far and most of the ones that came with the phone I don't use. Just feels weird having all that extra space.

HTC Incredible :: Home Screens Changing On Its Own
Jul 29, 2010I really like my Droid Incredible (Dinc), but I just noticed a minor glitch on it. When I was on the main home screen, the phone switched over to all three of the left home screens on its own (it switched to these home screens one after another). Do you know if there will be a software update that will fix this problem?

May 4, 2010Just had an issue today with the phone after I got off of NYC Maximas.org and went back to the home screen. The phone decided to have a mind of its own and was actually switching between screens itself. Every time I hit the home button it would switch to screen 2 and three and so on and so on. Also when I tried to text right after that I was unable to input text for w.e. reason. After a shut off and turn on of the phone the issue was resolved; "weird". Anyone else having this problem?

Jun 30, 2010I don't know if there has been anymore elaboration on the subject of the impending switch to LCD for the Incredibles or when it was supposed to go into effect, but I may or may not have stumbled onto something. I, finally, received my phone today. I haven't turned it on yet, as I have it sitting on the charger for another 3 hours. However, I did happen to flip through some of the booklets that came with the phone. If everyone could gather up their "Product Safety & Warranty Brochure," we can compare and see if there is a difference. On page 8 under the "Cleaning" bullet, it says "blah blah blah blah, but NEVER use water to clean the LCD screen." If any of you got your phones weeks or months earlier and it says "LED" for you, the switch may have already happened. As I said, I haven't turned the phone on yet and this is the only thing I have to go off of right now.

Aug 22, 2010Did you see that Bell wireless is discontinuing their HTC Legend phones because of screen shortages. They are not taking any more orders for Legends'. Hmmmm.... makes me wonder how long before our incredible Incredibles' follow. We could soon all be owners of a very rare breed though! Might increase re-sale value.

Nov 12, 2010Does anyone use chompSMS with widgetlocker?I have it so the quickreply sms popup lights up my phone and appears on my lock screen, but after about 4 seconds the screen goes blank again so i dont always spot it.Is there a way to get it to stay lit up for longer? Ive looked in settings for everything i can think of and the only scrren timeout ove got is 1min but think im missing something.. I guess the best thing would be for it to stay lit with the popup on screen for 30-secs or so, but also locked so i dont reply when its in my pocket.i also use launcher but this is sto to not override any screen timeouts.

Aug 16, 2010So I go to use my phone to pull up an app and hit the home screen and it starts scrolling between 3 or 4 different screens without me even touching the phone. It did it for about 10 seconds then stopped, then started doing it again, all the while I haven't touched the phone.
So I thought maybe it was a rogue app I installed so I got to delete the last few I installed and when I hit the uninstall button it is highlighted green like I am pressing it, but I got it to uninstall. Then when I go to hit the 'OK' button after the install it wouldn't let me because the button was highlighted green.
Strange I thought.
Is this a software issue, a rogue app issue, or what?

Jan 30, 2014I want to have the dashclock to show collapsed view on my lockscreen, the one with the clock/date on the left and three notifications (battery, weather, missed calls/sms/etc) on the right. but when I add it to the lockscreen it always goes into expanded view. seems like it's a widgetlocker problem because dashclock collapsed works just fine on homescreen.

Jun 28, 2010yeah unforunatley my phone hase been flawless since the 6/05 when I got if from Amazon, besides the pink hue of the screen, but I have noticed that I have lint/dirt between the screens you think there would be some kind of sealant or a gasket to keep this crap out of the screens, mine is just a few specks but they are really big specks and bugs the f-out of me so I emailed amazon yesterday and they are going to sent me a replacement, they said july 13th-july 20 it should be here, so hopefully the one I get is still the AMOLED screen not the new one they are talking about switch too.

Aug 15, 2010Today I rebooted my phone and LauncherPro got stuck starting, only displaying a window in the top left corner, like it couldn't finish rendering the preview screen, and it never starts on that anyway. I was totally stuck without access to the menu buttons but still had the notification for WidgetLocker, so I was able to get to that, unlock it, restart the Moto launcher, and disable WidgetLocker. Now that it's disabled, I seem to be able to make LauncherPro my home again, but it looks like I'll have to disable WidgetLocker, which I really liked.Not sure what else could be causing the problem - probably something to do with WidgetLocker's home launcher sub-app.
