Jul 1, 2010I just upgraded to the sprint 2.1 (vers 5, not 6), & im rooted, & im trying to clean up the phone to save space, so does anybody know where the "wallpaper & lock screen" images/files are stored at, so i can delete them since i use my own wallpapers. also, off topic, but when i get an email, & i check it & delete it, the email widget still shows a #, indicating that i still have unread emails.

Feb 4, 2010I decided today to look into lock screen replacements. I'd tried FlyScreen before, and felt it was way overkill. I just wanted something interesting where a third of my screen didn't just say "Sprint." I downloaded Lock 2.0 demo, which was sort of cool. But then I got a text message, which caused Handcent to do it's little pop up over the locked screen. Normally all good, but with the different lock screen, when I rotated the phone and slid out the keyboard, the screen did not re-orient itself. Is this an issue with Handcent? With Lock 2.0? Does it happen with any lock screen replacement?

Nov 18, 2010I have an HTC HD2 rooted with android based off the desire. I had a different build on my phone before so still getting used to it. I used to use the pattern lock on my phone and it would be the only screen lock. Now, with the desire build i have two. The standard frown looking sliding bar is there, which i don't like, and after i slide that bar to unlock then my pattern i set comes up and i have to use that to get into my phone. I would much rather just have one and prefer it be the pattern instead on the standard bar.

I hate having the phone wake up in my pocket after unlocking with either fingerprint or pin.
The phone is set to lock after 5 minutes of inactivity - but if bumped in the pocket, the phone wakes up without the swipe lock screen.
Is it possible to use a combination of two lock screen types?

Aug 6, 2013I'm a bit into customizing my home screens to make it look like the ones on mycolorscreen.com and in those UCCW threads.
But there is one thing thats bugging me, and that is the use of app icons on the home screen. I dont like it, its too messy and too iOS'ish.
Some are replacing the app icons with other custom icons, or removes them completely, but i rarely see what i've been trying to do; to make custom icons that open a meny of apps (in one genre..)
Like one icon for music apps, and one for travel apps etc.
I have tried to fix this using tasker widgets, like this:
and when i click on the music icon, which is a tasker widget, it opens a tasker scene with a meny of 4 music apps:
This works pretty good, but i would like the tasker widget icons to be just icons, no subtext under the icon. There is no way in tasker to do this i think, i've tried to make a task with no name but it is simply not allowed.
I've also tried to make a uccw widget, but hotspots in uccw can open apps and shortcut, not a many of apps..
i know that i can make the launcher remove text under icons, but this doen not apply to my tasker widgets.

Sep 9, 2010Is it possible to implement a custom way to lock/unlock an android mobile phone?I know that in versions 2.1 from android and before, there was only the locking pattern available, and that in version 2.2 it is now possible to set a password as well, but what if i want to make a custom way of locking/unlocking it myself (such as recognizing handwriting, or making some different alternative method for the locking and unlocking process)?Is it possible to achieve this through an application? or would it be necessary to make a version of the Android OS based in the same source code but with changes within it?If it would be necessary to make a different custom version of Android, can anyone give me any hints or tips as to how and where in the source code files are the blocking options considered?

Jul 29, 2010I really like my Droid Incredible (Dinc), but I just noticed a minor glitch on it. When I was on the main home screen, the phone switched over to all three of the left home screens on its own (it switched to these home screens one after another). May 4, 2010Just had an issue today with the phone after I got off of NYC Maximas.org and went back to the home screen. The phone decided to have a mind of its own and was actually switching between screens itself. Every time I hit the home button it would switch to screen 2 and three and so on and so on. Also when I tried to text right after that I was unable to input text for w.e. reason. After a shut off and turn on of the phone the issue was resolved; "weird". Anyone else having this problem?
