Sep 7, 2010So I have two blank home screens and I am not really sure what else to put on them. Anyone have any ideas? Widgets, apps, anything that will be useful.

View 3 RepliesTwo things I'd like to be able to do with my incredible.First is reduce the number of homescreens. Seven is really pointless for me, it makes finding the right screen take a little longer and there's just not enough good quality widgets that I need to use. I could do better with 5 and possibly just 3.Second is that when I'm not on a homescreen and I hit the home button, I'd like it to go back to the LAST homescreen I was on, not the center one. And if I'm already on a homescreen, once again pull up the homescreen select menu, instead of going to the center homescreen. It's a waste of a button press to always go to that center screen when pressing the home button.

When I was on the main home screen, the phone switched over to all three of the left home screens on its own (it switched to these home screens one after another). Do you know if there will be a software update that will fix this problem?

View 3 Replies View RelatedAnyone know how to rearrange the home screen order? Let's say I have the friends stream widget on the second home screen to the right of the main screen. I want to move it all the way to the outer most right home screen. (3 swipes to the right) Anyway to do this?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI had a little time with the captivate today and noticed it has 4(i think) horizontal scrolling screens for apps. What happens when you fill those? Does it automatically add another one or what?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have always been a little uncomfortable with the HTC widget on the home screen that took a large 2x4 block (2 rows x 4 columns) out of the home screen to display the time and weather.. especially because I wanted a few more apps to be displayed on my home screen that I regularly use..
So I removed the HTC clock widget that displayed the large 4x4 clock and weather and instead dropped the HTC clock widget that is 1x2 (5 of the 12 choices available in that widget).. and the HTC weather widget right next to it (or even below it).. which is also a 1x2 size..(choice 3 of 3 in that widget)..
so I basically get the same information with regards to time and weather..and I also end up saving 1 row, which can be filled with 4 additional apps.
Another tip: Instead of using the HTC favorites widget to peg your favorite people to call a touch away.. use the shortcut/add person to peg them on screen. The favorite widget takes a lot more space especially when you don't fill it up.
I just got a Droid Eris yesterday and am trying to figure out how I want to set up my seven screens! So much space!
I saw the different "scenes" that are pre-loaded but I was interested in how others have theirs set up. Right now mine are all sort of random as I haven't yet figured out a good system for me.

Home screen = places where you put widgets/applications, shortcuts...There is one main home screen (with clock, weather and some apps) + 6 additional screens where you also put apps and widgets.
Is it possible to have more of these screens?
I just picked up a new g1 and am loving it. Just one question. Is there an application out there that gives you more then just your 3 home screens? I wouldn't mind at least 5. Tried searching around and haven't found much.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have now got my home screens as I want them but it is so easy to accidentally change them. Is there a way to lock them i.e. keep them as they are, but of course still updating to show the latest data , until I use a certain method to change the way they look.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've had my HTC Desire for a few weeks now and I love it to bits! I just want to ask though how other people set up their home screens (I'm seriously lacking imagination) I'd like to know of what widgets & apps are must hav's!Also, I have dedicated my far left screen as a 'car' screen which i've got a music widget on and google navigation icon... I'm after some other really good apps to use while being out in the car and while travelling around the country, any suggestions? One more thing, I'm after a car cradle to use the navigation, but the speaker on the phone is really quiet... is there a satnav with a speaker built in, or can you get cigarette lighter powered bluetooth speakers? I only want to be able to hear what the phone's satnavs saying really.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI cannot see any of my screens. I just see a black screen. The screen has no background but it is black but lit up or active [not black like when it is off though]. No response to hitting any of the 4 buttons[home, menu, return, search]. I only get a response when I hold down the home key. A message pops up saying 'Recent Apps' and 'No recent apps'. I'm wondering if it is trying to respond but bogged down with an app.
This all started after I installed a Koi screen saver. The screen saver works and lets me close the screen saver but goes to a blank screen. Don't see anything. Sound rocker responds, power button works, I even heard mail arriving. Feel pretty dumb.
How do i remove some of the home screens? there are like 7 right now, and i would like to have just 3. how to do this? I use CM9 with LG UI 3.0.
