So, are there a lot of people out there using the optical trackpad? I've had the phone for a while and....I don't think I've ever actually used it except to mess around. Are there some things that it makes easier? Better? Faster?

Don't know if this was ever posted, never saw it. If you want to be able to wake your phone with the trackpad, go to the market and get "No Lock". Its an app to disable the slide down to unlock. Well I found out that the trackpad will now wake the phone. Just click the trackpad. No need for the top button. Also the side buttons will wake the phone. So if you keep your phone in your pocket be careful.

(like the iPhone's home button, just converted ) I've looked around and can't seem to find a way to set this. I searched about nexus since it is similar and saw a few things about the app LOCKBOT, i recommend you atleast try the free version and see, it gives you unlock with the trackpad button and the ability to do custom lockscreen with different styles like Iphone, and different android locks. THis was one grip i didnt like about sense. Stock Android has the ability to swipe to unlock or swipe the other way to mute sounds, which is a nice feature, although i prefer my iphones switch the best
The bad...Ive read stuff about it crashing and being laggy, now i havnt experiended this on the INC, it runs super smooth. But i have been having a few times where the front button will not unlock the phone, maybe an update will fix this or something, but its worth a shot to look at.
My trackpad suddenly stopped working, I haven't dropped it or anything like that so I don't think it is a hardware problem.

I have seen blackberry trackpads and they are supper smooth Sometimes when editing text I have to move it 3-5 times to get to the right position.

Is there a way to programmatically deselect/wipe whatever the user has selected with the trackball/trackpad When I hit the back button on an Activity, the Activity it falls back to has a button that is selected as if the user had used the trackball/pad. Can you use the optical trackpad to move the cursor when writing text? So if you realise you've gone wrong you don't have to place your finger in-between two letters. View 2 Replies View RelatedThis folder includes screen shots that are used for Internet Browser bookmarks. It also includes screen shots of web pages that I did not choose to bookmark. When I clear cache while in "Internet" in "Manage Applications" it does not remove these jpg files that are not being used for bookmarks. When I clear everything while in Internet app (in settings) it does not remove these jpg files either. It also does not remove them from within the HistoryEraser app. The only way I can remove the jpg files is with Astro or when connected to PC. I have to go through them and erase jpgs that I do not want there.
There were 72 jpg files in that directory and they go all the way back to when I got phone (on 4/29). I have only added 5 bookmarks myself during that time. They do not take up a lot of space but I just don't want them there.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI have my original gmail account "slaved" to my google apps account, so when I log in to user@gmail.com it displays my google apps user@domain.com as being logged in. For most things this is great, but now with the android phone there are some gotchya's First was the Market. I had to create yet another gmail account to buy anything off the market, because when I sign in to my 'gmail' account on my phone it signs me in as an apps user.
Second, is my google voice (attached to gmail) has its own set of contacts associated with my gmail account, and they are not synced with my google apps account. I was hoping the phone would sort of mesh them together, however I'm not seeing that. On my iPhone I was using soocial, however they recently stopped allowing unlimited contacts and their new free limit is below my number of contacts. Is there a way for the phone to keep these to contact lists "connected" and synced together?
I bought an Eris on the 28th, but returned it sunday within the 30 day grace period to wait for the incredible. And its killing me xD.I had to switch back to my winmo 6.1 HTC vx6900, and switching back from android is rough. Truly, it is a day to day struggle that we must cope with one step at a time. Tasks that used to be so simple, like editing a contact or sending a text, are now unwieldy by comparison.Who else here has had to do this? Am I alone in having to deal with this?
