I'm running stock 2.2 OTA on my incredible. I attempted to upload a vid to youtube via "share" in the video album and failed. At first I thought it might be the camera locking the file. So I kill the camera app. Try again, nothing. It fails. I connect to my WiFi @ home see if it helps to no avail. It keeps trying to upload for a few times and eventually fails. I had to USB them to my pc and then upload them from there.

I took a video on the DINC video camera. Tried uploading to Youtube. Got a message that its waiting for a WIFI connection to do so. Problem is that all teh WIFIs in my hood are password protected. any ideas to work around this? Maybe my settings are off? I did transfer a crappy piss poor video that I shot with a Blackberry 8330 that I put on my SD card to Youtube with no problems.

I'm going to be in an area with most likely no wifi but I'm pretty sure I should have solid EVDO and I need to upload videos, just wanted to know the maximum file size/length for youtube videos and if there's a way to bypass the limit (I really don't care if I ring up 1.5 gigs of data).

When I try it just says "waiting for retry - 1 minute" It seems to go a couple %'s at a time if I manually select retry, but I did that all the way to 100% and it didn't post.

View 1 Replies View RelatedUsing the Facebook app, some music artists post videos of concert footage etc. When I click on the video to watch it, my Incredible will ask me if I want to use Internet or YouTube to watch it. Unfortunately neither works for me.
When I choose Internet, YouTube's website pops up with the video and a play button. When I click the play button it does nothing. When I choose to open it via the YouTube app, I get an error saying that it can't play the file.
Is there a way to watch embedded YouTube videos that people post on Facebook via the app?

Its only a 10 second clip.I linked my gmail and old yahoo account and its still not letting me do it. View 1 Replies View Related1.When I try to upload a video from my phone to Youtube it says that I can't upload files bigger than 1gig. The file I am trying to upload is only 124 mb. So what is the problem? (it was recorded in 720) I had to download some crappy 3pg to avi converter so that I could upload it.
2. My second question, is why is it so choppy? Here is video of my 14 month old son eating a lime for the first time. Sadly, the video cuts in and out. Played like this right after the recording on the phone.
Droid can only upload vids to YouTube by wifi... is that an Android thing or a limitation caused by Verizon's abilities (inabitlies?).
Not a severe problem, but I was so used to posting vids for work as the fastest way to get a QC problem resolved for co-workers across the state. I'd post a vid, they see it within minutes, and come up with a solution.
Can't do that with Droid.
Can't email them as the files are too large. Still have to use my little Nokia on ATT to do that.
I'm writing an Android app where users can upload video to Youtube. I'd like the Youtube tag field to be pre-filled with a tag that I set. I'd also like the UI to work like this: user clicks on an Upload button, user goes straight to Youtube upload intent (rather than picking from a Chooser), tag field is pre-filled for them.
Is this possible using ACTION_SENDTO?
Currently I have this code, which just launches a Chooser, which really isn't what I want:

I have done some searching on this problem and the consensus is that there is some sort of a cap on uploading videos to Youtube that are larger than about 10 mb. If you try to upload a larger video Evo then says it is waiting to use WiFi to do the upload. This seems like a Sprint cap to me to prevent their network from having to handle the bandwidth of uploading anything but small videos. (what do we pay the extra $10 for? That's for another discussion.).SO, now that I am rooted, does anyone know how to change the settings and remove the cap so that I can upload larger videos via 3G or 4G without having to use a WiFi connection? I am rooted and on stock 3.29.651.5 Android 2.2. I do not want to use flash a custom ROM just for this ability.

The video is 140mb in size. i get the following message when I try to upload the video to youtube via the share option in Gallery "You can not upload a video larger than 1GB".
I get this message if I'm connected to wifi or not. The video is only 140mb in size!

I was getting this message prior to upgrading to 2.2 and was hoping that the 2.2 would fix it, but it didn't.
Anyone had issues trying to upload large files to YouTube over 200MB? (and yes, this was tested over home wifi)
