How google + select files for instant upload?
Will it upload new movies transferred to the device via USB transfer mode to the google + gallery?
Currently I see that the wallpapers I download gets uploaded to google +, but if this happens to movies, that is bad.

The latest update of google plus mentions high resolution instant upload, but I am not seeing this functionality .. Also with previously uploaded photos, they remain at low resolution ... will I have to remove them and allow my phone to re-upload the images?

Simple, but effective: just hook your phone up to your computer and drag and drop any photos you want into your phone's camera folder and, viola, they are treated like newly taken photos and uploaded to G+. (or use a file manager right on your phone to copy and paste there). Then, just delete those photos from the camera folder afterwards.
Now, keep in mind that they will be reduced to the "free upload" pixel limit of 2048, just like any other instant uploads, but for many of us, our camera phone pictures are not much bigger anyway.
Extra pro-tip: videos are also "free storage" and they don't reduce their quality at all. You can really maximize your free G+ storage with video.
It's there a way to auto-upload full size videos to Google+ like the photos do?
EVERY single VIDEO the Google+ (Google Photos, whatever its called) app auto-uploads the resolution is changed to either 640x480 or 480x480.
The instant upload feature on my Samsung Exhibit II wasn't working for several months. No it has started working again, so any pics I take go to instant upload as they should. But, the many pics taken during the months that it wasn't working are still on the phone and not on instant upload. It seems like it should 'sync' them but it is not - it is only sending any new pics I take, not the old ones.

Seems like instant upload pulls from the camera folder only.
Screenshots are saved to their own folder, as well as images saved from browser/apps, which would appear to exclude them from instant upload.
Maybe even a way for screenshots to default save into the camera folder? Likewise for downloads?
Yesterday Instant upload album on my N4 got split into 100+ new albums and now all the photos taken on the same day are in a separate album with the date as the album name. This makes viewing photos on the phone useless since I now need to go through 100+ albums to find a photo.
On the G+ photo page everything looks good (ie no 100+ albums) but once I go to PicasaWeb the same problem is there as on my phone (Instant upload album got split up into 100+ albums)
How I can delete Instant Upload photos from my device.
View 24 Replies View RelatedI currently have G+ to sync photos. In my gallery, every photo syncs just fine except for the Instant Upload folder.
In the G+ app, under photos - Instant Upload album displays the images just fine.
In short, gallery shows Instant Upload as a blank folder but G+ shows it full of picture.

Have any of you ever clicked on the "I'm Feeling Lucky Mix" button which creates a mix based on your music taste?
this is a great and excellent feature to have. I've clicked on it multiple times, and now I have multiple instant mixes.but how do you delete an instant mix? I have these instant mix playlists now, and I don't want them anymore.
I thought I had deleted them somehow previously (don't ask, I can't remember), and what's even stranger is that when I click on "Listen Now" 'All Music', I see all my music there, however, I also see Instant Mixes, I don't want them in there anymore.
When I go to http:[url]....and login, and click on "Instant Mixes", THERE ARE NONE ! When I click on "Listen Now", there are none in there also!, this is how it should be on my cellphone/tablet as well.Yet on my tablet, when I view All Music by clicking "Listen Now", I see them in there.clicking on the 3 dot menu doesn't get rid of them because there is no remove option, no delete option either.
just trying out Google Play Music today. I'm confused though as I have around 10000 music files sitting in a folder on Google drive. I can't see an option to ask Google Play Music to look into Google Drive and upload the music from there. I have connected my Google play music app on my nexus 7 to my Google account' but nothing seems to happen. Surely Google is able to connect two parts of its cloud together and I don't have to re upload everything?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have done some searching on this problem and the consensus is that there is some sort of a cap on uploading videos to Youtube that are larger than about 10 mb. If you try to upload a larger video Evo then says it is waiting to use WiFi to do the upload. This seems like a Sprint cap to me to prevent their network from having to handle the bandwidth of uploading anything but small videos. (what do we pay the extra $10 for? That's for another discussion.).SO, now that I am rooted, does anyone know how to change the settings and remove the cap so that I can upload larger videos via 3G or 4G without having to use a WiFi connection? I am rooted and on stock 3.29.651.5 Android 2.2. I do not want to use flash a custom ROM just for this ability.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI took a video on the DINC video camera. Tried uploading to Youtube. Got a message that its waiting for a WIFI connection to do so. Problem is that all teh WIFIs in my hood are password protected. any ideas to work around this? Maybe my settings are off? I did transfer a crappy piss poor video that I shot with a Blackberry 8330 that I put on my SD card to Youtube with no problems.

At first I thought it might be the camera locking the file. So I kill the camera app. Try again, nothing. It fails. I connect to my WiFi @ home see if it helps to no avail. It keeps trying to upload for a few times and eventually fails. I had to USB them to my pc and then upload them from there.

I had it running for about a week and I have roughly 3700 songs on my computer (in iTunes). It stopped at around 2400 songs and won't add anymore, and I'm not entirely sure why. Of those 3700 songs, only about 300 were purchased from iTunes, the rest are CDs or songs that I permanenly borrowed during the Napster days. I double checked the songs that are missing, and there really isn't too much rhyme or reason as to why they're not there.

I have my phone set to sync contacts with my Google account; however, whenever I add new contacts to the phone they are never added to my Google account. I will press sync now and everything (including contacts) will claim to have successfully synced although my newly added contacts from the phone remain local (on the phone but not on my Google account). I just uploaded a 1.5GB file to my Drive by mistake, now I can't cancel it except by rebooting my phone. If I start up the Drive app the upload restarts. I explored the Drive app but it seems there's no way to cancel an on-going upload.
