I am triying to use PutYourBootHereWithAudio like before and it runs through all the steps fine but the phone reboots with the old (or new) htc startup still...I downloaded htc sync before hand as that is what worked for me in the past, anyone else get this?

I thought that i just had to place the boot animation.zip file in /data/local and that was it, but its not working. is there another way?
View 10 Replies View RelatedJust found this out over at the XDA forums, that to change the boot animation and sound, you go to /system/customize/resource/ and it's named VZW_boot animation.zip and for the sound it's named VZW_Droid.zip..
View 2 Replies View RelatedThis is starting to get really annoying. I'm trying to limit my use of the Advanced task Killer, but it seems like some apps REALLY LIKE being on and running - especially after a reboot.
I have NEVER used the FM Radio app, but it's always on - WHY?
Others, like YouTube and Key Ring, I use, but not very often - why would they be running after a reboot?
I was able to change the boot animation before Froyu using the procedure at http://androidforums.com/tips-tricks-evo-4g/109120-how-install-new-boot-animation-without-root.html.After Froyo, I've tried to push the zip file as VZW_bootanimation.zip and bootanimation.zip to both /data/local and /system/customize/resource (I can't write to that location, I think it's for rooted phones only). None of these four options worked.What am I missing? That native boot animation is nasty.

I've used Root Explorer to change the boot animation on the stock 2.2 Rom. When I try to change the boot animation in CM6 it won't go through. I know the boot animation is located in system/media/boot animation.zip and I choose Mount R/W and it still won't change it. Do I have to use another method to change it?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Garmin-Asus A10 that i wanted to change its font using Type Fresh app. When the font changed the app required a reboot,, but when the phone rebooted it became unable to boot after the garmin-asus logo anymore !!
I tried a hard reset using the volume keys pressed with the power button but it displays "**WIPE USERDATA**" on the top left corner and nothing happened.There is an option to hold the volume up key with the power button that displays " USB POLLING MODE " in a blue screen.
My phone now is not able to boot properly and freezes on the startup logo.
I recently got my incredible and i love it, I have 2 issues with it, first is battery but you know downloading stuff all day long will tank a battery the other. I cannot put a picture on the wallpaper on my phone. If I do, it changes it to the HTC colors. I can however post any live wallpaper just not any pictures. This is become a great irritation and I am uncertain if this is a software or hardware problem.

I read that it's possible to change the starting screen which has not only images of Pokemon but sound. Also it says 'HTC one.' Is there anyway I can change this? I simply don't want Pokemon images on my phone, let alone if I'm out in public and the Pokemon audio plays.

Until I activate the Advanced Task Killer and shut them all down, the thing runs like a hog. I have quite a few programs installed, but I dont use them all all of the time. Why do they all start up and is there any way beside the ATK to stop them? Is there any way to modify the startup files?

It sounds like a ringtone preview...but it doesn't sound pleasant. It makes you believe that there is an error somewhere, but there is no verbal notification. I recently updated several apps at once and installed a new one. I thought this may be the problem, but I still have the sound after uninstalling new app.
