Just in case anyone wants to try this / if it has happened to anyone else. I didn't have a pre order for the Incredible but when I went in to exchange my current 10 day old phone for one the manager went to transfer the contacts over and apparently their machine cannot transfer anything to the internal Incredible memory. I received a free 2gb memory card to make up for it ($24.99 savings woot).

View 4 Replies View Relatedlast week before getting the incredible i had 2 extra micro sd cards laying around. Today i have 4. Of course i got the free 2gb sd card with the phone, its still in the package. And today when i went to the verizon store to buy a car charger and the red and black gradient case they gave me a 4gb micro sd for free! So now i have 2 extra micro sd's that i didn't have last week. Not too bad. So for those who didn't know i guess verizon has a deal going on now where if you buy a car charger and case you get a free 4gb micro sd memory card. I"m not sure how much they retail for but its got to be at least worth $10-15. The case and the charger came to $50 + change. Just a heads up for those that need these accessories.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am in a verizon store. There is a droidx and droid incredible right next to each other. I installed speedtest.net app on both. Used advanced task killer to kill background apps on both..then ran speedtest.net app.Ran the test ten times on each phone to get a good average. Droidx gets 0.50 mbps max...incredible gets 2.0 mbps nearly on every one of the ten runs I did. Why? Is this a known issue? I wanna get the phone..its in stock..but this speedtest issue is bugging me. Any explanations?Also the droid x is getting only 2 bars..the inc has full signal. Been here about an hour, and no change in signal or speedtest.live update.. I am going to drive to another verizon store right now and repeat the tests on new phones..I will run with and withouth task killer. Ill update once I get to the new verizon store.

One thing I can't figure out is where dose the pictures get store to.(The Actual Directory) I did download ASTRO(Great Tool) but still am unable to hunt the actual store directory that the pics gets store to. Dose anybody know where this is. I also need to find out once I connect my phone to the PC how to get it off of the phone to my PC and or server. once I connect to PC all I see is the SD card and there isn't much in there.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am currently on my second Eris and I am having problems with my trackball not responding and something screwy with my camera not saving my pictures.
Right now I would rather pay to downgrade to another phone like a BB or even pay full retail value for a completely different Droid because I am afraid if they send me another Eris it is just going to break again.
If I call VZW and talk to them, will they send me another Eris that will most likely to break or will they send me a D1 or an Incredible?
I love my Eris but i just can't use it anymore and i feel like i will keep having problems if they keep sending me refurbs.
First off, i want to say thank you to all those who have helped me since i got the phone late jan. I am switching because of the deal Wirefly is offering.Ok first, i brought an extra battery (Seidio 1750mAh) and was wondering does anyone know a good website to sell it, also for a pack of screen protectors? I'm not sure about other sites like ebay (Never used it), i usually sell stuff online to online companies. The same applies to the phone itself.I'm not sure if this on topic so either disregard or I'll delete later. I have a car charger for the droid Eris, not sure which brand but will it still work for the Inc? Also, is there a better deal for an extra battery other then what Seidio is offering? Also is the screen on the Inc. just a durable at the Eris in which i don't have to get a screen protector?

I like the Eris a lot but there ARE a couple things that I think I'm getting tired of. First is it's slow most of the time, and second, the camera is just not living up to my expectations. View 5 Replies View RelatedWhy don't we start a class action lawsuit for Eris owners? Here are some of the issues that I see all over the internet:
1) Verizon admits the problems to some, denies it to others.
2) HTC admits problems, but blames Verizon. Verizon admits it, but blames HTC.
3) Both parties blame either hardware or software, depending on who you talk to.
4) Customers keep getting sent refurbs with same issues, while few get phones without issues.
5) Some customers get to switch phones, some aren't given that opportunity. Some get to switch for free, others are told they have to purchase refurbs for $289. Some have even been allowed to have the Incredible, most have not.
6) Some customers even get new contracts.
There is no consistency with Customer Service, either in store or on the phone. I spoke with a rep 3 weeks that fully admitted Verizon knows this phone is a pile, and offered a replacement if the june 29th update didn't fix the issues. Well it didn't fix them and the guy today denies that there are any well known problems, that mine is an isolated issue and most customers love the Eris. He is sending Eris refurb number 2, the 3rd in total. Told me I could do that or buy a Droid refurb for $289. Didn't care at all if I chose to leave Verizon. There is clearly a problem with the Eris, everybody involved knows it. If enough of us band together, perhaps we can get a consistent, equitable resolution from Verizon. Who is up for starting a list of names?
I have like 15 MB of free space yet the low storage icon wont me download anything, even files less than 1 MB. Help, I don't even know why my storage is so low.

Before I brick my phone: I've allowed non-sanctioned software in Settings. 1) Will this allow me to use the 2.2 meant for the Incredible, and 2) will it brick my phone? I have the procedure to root the phone and install the 2.2 ROM that way, but this seems easier. Plus, can I then unroot?

"My uploads" - whatever that is, "Voice Dialer" never works correctly anyway and "Messages" are the other ones. Until Verizon makes Text messages free and or I feel the need to bother somebody with a few poorly typed text messages, instead of using the phone - I would like to get rid of this app that wont shut off!

View 7 Replies View RelatedI came from a Moto RZR a few months ago to be an early adopter of the Nexus 1. Soon found that tMobile didn't cut it coverage wise so I returned it. However, I really loved the OS and so I decided to wait for the N1 to come to VZW.Not being able to wait for the N1 I bought an Eris for $10 and signed up for a 2-yr contract. During the couple months or so with the Eris I flashed both leaks. My Eris was working very good indeed with few problems.I then pre-ordered and received the Incredible today. It is a sweet phone however, this is the point I want to make. Once the official 2.1 is available, the Eris is and will continue to be one fine phone. If speed is your cup of tea then upgrade but just realize you'll be able to do the exact same thing on your Eris so think twice before you take the plunge.This is in no way a buyer's remorse statement as I really wanted the speed and it is nice to have everything functioning as it should. I'm sure there will be problems. Remember, the Eris will work just as well in the future minus the speed.

Everyone paid for this app and function and this service interruption which is estimated to last for MONTHS will not go unpunished.This is currenlty affecting Eris users and maybe Sprint Hero users as well.
