I've got a 2004 Silverado with the factory head unit still installed, so no 3.5 jack. My cd player no longer works so i want to use my phone as my primary means of music. What is the easiest way to get my INC to play mp3s through my truck's speakers?

how to play music using the speakers. I connected the speakers to my phone and played music using the google music player and the sound still comes from my phone's built-in speakers and not to the connected one. I'm not sure if I'm using the correct jack but it seems to be the same size as the one on the phone's headset. How I can play music through the connected speakers?

There's a USB input in the center console, which works great with my wifes Ipod, but when I plug my incredible into my car using my usb cable, i can't seem to get it to work.
I've tried it in charger mode, as well as mounted, and no dice.
I took out the 8GB SD card from my Blackberry Storm and put it the Incredible.
I had a bunch of music saved on my SD Card that I downloaded from VZW Music Media thing.
When I go to music on the Incredible and go over the song (it shows the picture of the album of the song)
it says "unable to play this type of audio"

View 2 Replies View RelatedI went to sleep listening to a 6 hour playlist of thunderstorm sounds in spotify through stereo speakers. My alarm was set to go off 2 hours after the playlist ended. My alarm vibrated, and luckily woke me up, but it played no sound through my stereo speakers or through the phone's built in speaker. Is there any solution to this issue? Ideally, I'd like to listen to the sound of thunderstorms for 6 hours, and then have my alarm play the song that normally wakes me up through my stereo speakers.
I have a Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX although I doubt that's relevant. I'm sure its something to do with the software.
So I missed work the other day. I go to sleep listening to music on my droid with headphones in the headphone jack. I woke up around 10am (2 hours late for work) and looked over at my phone. The alarm had gone off, but only in my headphones which had fallen off during the night. The only time I listen to music is when I am going to bed, but I no longer can because of this problem. Does anyone know how to make alarm clocks ALWAYS play over the speakers? Or do I just need to buy a new alarm clock?

I've tried the HTC headphones and my own both used to work fine now even through the little headphones or headphones and mic icon is displayed the music still plays through the loud speaker. Its actually playing through both loudspeaker and ear phones.

After listening I've plugged headset out and now while I call to somebody I see there is a call on the device screen, but either me, either person whom I am calling to, doesn't hear the other person. View 4 Replies View RelatedI couldn't hear the music play at max volume on my Incredible at work (noisy environment). Was disappointing coming from a raggedy BB Storm 1. But then I did something to it and the volume incresed... about 25% higher from the max setting that I had. I can now hear it while I am working. I tested this method on the Pandora. It worked every time.
Here is how:
1. Play music (from whatever app you use)
2. Hit the home key
3. Open Voice Search (Programs key if you don't have it on your home screen).
4. Done.
Came across this helpful link. It only applies to those tunes post-DRMed by Apple, purchased after April 2009, but still a good thing.

Are you using the stock player? I'm not so happy with it. My biggest problem is that it doesn't sense when there should be continuous play between tracks, so you hear the breaks. Has anybody found something better?

However, whenever i transfer music i always get the message "unable to play this type of audio file" I have tried everything from making the files all mp3 format to using different programs to do the sync, but nothing will work.

Later after I unplugged it and tried to make a call on the phone there was no audio coming from the phone. I had to reboot the phone to get it back. I think I read somthing about this someplace. I kinda remember something about the switch sticking in the audio jack. I've only used this jack twice now and the phone is only a month or so old. Is this a known issue?

The song plays loud and clear through the headphones, but also plays loud and clear through the phone speaker/earpiece. I could not figure out why it would not just play through the headphones. View 2 Replies View RelatedI like using Google play music but the application has been changing my album art around and i cant figure out how to change it back.I saved a picture to my external SD card and Google music decided to tag all the Unknown Artists with the picture, but it only seems to show up in Google Music.
I have multiple media players installed and only some of them recognize the art and display it.I have tried editing the tags but its like the images are not there like since the image was in the forlder it pretty much overwrote things.I have cleared the cache and data for google music rebooted my device with no luck.What are my options at this point to get this picture out the tags and off my phone.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm hoping someone here with some AV knowledge can give me something to try. When I've got my Incredible hooked up to my car stereo via the 3.5mm jack, and have the car charger plugged in, there is a noticeable but intermittent high pitched hiss that comes out of the speakers. If I unplug the car charger it goes away immediately.
I've tried with the volume on the Incredible set at quiet/medium/loud levels and that doesn't seem to make any difference. My guess is that there is resonance from the power cable being picked up by the audio cable, but I've tried moving them around and it doesn't seem to help.
Recently I've been having an issue with Google Play Music where when I play a song, it plays for a second then pauses, so I have to press play to get it going again. This occurs repetitively which means I can't listen to music.
It happens on songs that are being streamed and on songs that are on the device.
Funnily enough, if the song is played through ES file explorer and the little play music popup window comes up, it plays fine.
I've got this issue on both my devices, a tf101 running 4.3 and a nexus 5 with stock 4.4 rooted.
Edit: just remembered, I've also got this issue with MX Player and videos. I can't figure out what's wrong.
Streamed videos played through the gallery video player work fine.
I was just wondering if the Droid can handle voice commands such as "Play Music", "Party Shuffle", "Play (Artist)", "Play (Song)", "Play (Album)", "Open Email", "Play (Video)", etc, etc; or if there are plans for this in the future firmware? It seems like when I use voice dialer, I say "Call Home" and a list of options pops up of who to call (one choice being Home) (When I wish it would have just automatically called Home), but if I use voice search it automatically does call Home.
