View 1 RepliesWhere can one find different custom status bars? I have seen a few that I like, one that has a curve it. I for the life of me cant find anywhere to download them, so I can add them to my theme.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI know there are many different status bar themes and stuff out there but on xda it seems really hard and i dont wanna get stuck in a bootloop. is there an easier way of doing it?
View 25 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to use Spinner as a button with selection pop-up. Basically I want an icon and when user clicks it - the popup list is displayed and user can make a selection. The Spinner happily accepts icon image as drawable background. Unfortunately when I select a value the text overlays the background. Is it possible to set selection text color as a transparent? Or maybe there's a better way?

2. I have read the bars are low, poor radio - which shocks me at VZW.
While at my house and playing with both the Incredible and X, I noticed that the Incredible had only one bar, while my X had full signal. My first reaction was, "I can't keep a phone that has poor service at my house!"
But after looking into it further, I found that the dbm was almost spot on for both phones. It turns out, it's probably a software issue regarding displaying the bars rather than an actual signal problem. My call quality has been great so far with no issues.
It's been 22 hours and I still have 2 bars. This is after my first charge cycle AND I have been using a little internet, some youtube, texting, 2-3 pictures, and lots of phone customization/tweaking. I don't even have TaskKiller or an Extended battery yet. NOTE Half of the 22 hours I have been in my basement (right on lake michigan) where Verizon has to FIGHT HARD for a signal - the bars are at 0 but I can still make calls without being dropped. ATT + T Mobile don't work in my basement at all but Verizon is able to squeeze a signal somehow. Doesn't seem to be killing my battery.
View 19 Replies View RelatedHave an incredible. is there any way to change the number of bars or the -db level of the bars? For instance, I'd like to change it to six bars or have the fourth bar be at minimum a -85 db level.
Anyway to do this?
Is there any roms out there that have music controls in pull down notification bar? If not someone should make that!
View 7 Replies View RelatedIs there a widget for WiFi selection? I'm in a house with more than one that I use and jump from one to another....
The current widget only turns it on and off...and the WiFi defaults to connecting to the last connected.... not the strongest.
On a side note I have a dual band wireless-n router....the phone (if it is wireless n) only sees the 2.4 ghz spectrum...not the 5 (which is much faster and less interference). And in case anyone asks why you would need it....internal networking...Not for surfing the web.
I just noticed that market options are missing (Skyraider 2.52 Sense).
Only "top free" and "Just in" are options on the top. No paid apps, but some show in the "Just in". I thought there we supposed to be no market problems with these roms?
They appeared now. Took about seven hours, but they appeared.
I am running the latest version of frankenrom. My question is can I get the stock status bar while still using sense? is there a them that would allow me to do that? I really only want to change the status bar so it looks like stock Android but nothing else.
View 1 Replies View RelatedCan you change the status bar color, and if so, how? I have the Skyraider 2.5.2 Rom.
View 1 Replies View RelatedEverything was fine (since 4/28) until yesterday....all of a sudden, there is a notification in the status bar for 2 new voice mails- I am, and have always used google voice for my voicemail - the notificaiton says to call my gv number, which is unusual, because it usually says that one of my contacts left a voicemail - anyhow, I have no new gv messages - went online and deleted all of them, also powered on and off the phone, even removed the check mark in settings to notify in the status bar......can't get rid of this this notification....there is no "clear" option, as you usually get when checking notifications from the menu button
Even calling my gv number manually, entering my pin, and hearing "you have no new messages" doesn't remove the notification from the status bar....this is very weird. Anyone else exp something like this from gv ?
I know there's a way to update your status through HTC sense Facebook app, as I've seen it "via HTC Sense" on facebook and I know they have an android phone..I've searched and searched but found nothing.
View 3 Replies View RelatedRestoring from Titanium, I apparently hit the back button instead of "done", and now Titanium is showing in the status bar menu as being at 29%, however I can't actually access it. Instead, if I select it, I get the standard Titanium window. Basically it's like the update is waiting for my input, but because I hit "back", I can't select anything. What the heck, Titanium? This has happened three times now.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have friendstream running, and it seems to update twitter just fine, but for some odd reason facebook status messages don't get updated unless I manually refresh.
I have double checked everything too, it should be checking every hour, so I have no clue what is going on. Anyone else experiencing this? Or does anyone know of a solid workaround?
Is there a way to remove the battery and clock from the status bar? I use widgets for both and would like more open space on the status bar
View 12 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for a battery indicator widget/app that will show the remaining battery left (numeric) in the status bar. I found "Battery Indicator" which shows a separate battery % in the status bar, but I"m looking for one that will superimpose the numeric % left over the stock battery meter icon in the status bar.

View 2 Replies View RelatedUpon starting up my phone was locked in awake status and I couldn't figure out why.
So against my will, I've downloaded ATK.
I noticed that upon killing ANY application that was loaded by the system at start up (besides ATK) would allow the phone to sleep.
So FM Radio, Footprints, Docs to Go....
Killing just one of those or I imagine just about anything else that loaded from the start, stopped my wakelock.
Also I noticed by putting the phone into airplane mode, and then taking it out, seemed to work as well.
how to add percentage of battery status on status bar like xperia z?
Innos i6c (Xperia Style)
on the gsm hero, you can have a maximum of 4 bars of signal, where as on the sprint hero, you can have alot more, 8 i think, is there anyway to get more bars on the gsm hero, like 8 bars?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI tested my Evo side by side with a display model at Best Buy that I knew would be in good working order.
My 3G speeds were less than half the speeds of the display, and since this was my second Evo with the exact same problem, the chances of me getting two bad phones with the exact same problem were slim to none. This would mean that I was doing something to screw up the phones. I didn't think of the fact that their display was on WiFi. So just this weekend I tested an Evo at the Sprint store that one of the associates had. Same issue with his phone : 4G is great, then drops down to slow 4G, and suddenly dives into 3G at such a slow speed that it kicks you offline.
Earlier today here in Austin TX, I managed to get my best reading ever for my phone - over 7 Mbps. This was a short lived burst, and two minutes later all signal was completely dead. In order to get signal again i had to restart the phone. This happened twice to me today, even with two restarts. The strange thing is that despite having absolutely no signal what-so-ever, the phone shows a full five bars of 4G.
(^ I have now come to realize that I was looking at the 3G signal bars here. The phone still showed 4G, no rings, but all bars of 3G. Despite this, the online connection dropped. When I posted this thread, I didn't know that my issues were a result of the transition from 4G down to a super slow 3G )
I tried placing a call, and was able to do so, but the quality was poor.
At the time that this happens, I am stationary and no more than a few thousand feet from the tower ( I can actually see it easily - about four blocks away )
I would just guess that the bars being shown were just a freezing error, but i
frequently see a full five or even six bars with rings of 4G, despite speeds of less than 2 Mbps. Apparently, something is screwwy with the way the bars are displayed.
Today is Saturday, so I can understand heavy traffic killing some signal, but why does the phone show full strength, and why does it just completely kill all signal that drastically ?
Sprint has admitted to me that there is a problem with the towers in the Austin area, and even offered to send me a signal booster ( which they now tell me that i will have to buy. )
So - just wondering, is this sort of thing is normal, and if so what causes it ?
Using latest 2.2 update on Evo.
This is my second Evo - the first phone also showed fluctuating signal problems, and Sprint had me return it.
Everywhere we go her D2 shows more reception bars than my thunderbolt...yesterday we were at the mall and my phone had no bars while she had like three. I took mine to a Verizon store and ask them so they wanted to exchange it with a refurbished one but I told them to just change the Sim card and see if that would do the trick but nothing.
View 7 Replies View RelatedMy nexus one recently doesn't show the 3g icon next to the bars. I don't believe it lost the 3g signal, as I can see 3 bars in there and when I force 2G it goes to 4bars with the 'E' symbol. It just doesn't seem to get 3g data, i believe. I can call and text, but when I try to access the net it says site not found. Could somebody explain why this is? I have T-Mobile in midtown atlanta.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI just noticed a triangle above my signal strength bars. what does that mean?
View 24 Replies View RelatedI've noticed that even with 3G turned off, I get the standard signal bars. I assume these bars represent the signal strength for voice/text usage, of course, but do they have anything to do with 3G signal strength as well?
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy eris was having issues (scrolling to the left by itself and not scrolling back, shutting off, force closing everything, etc) so i took it into verizon and even the guy working there got frustrated so he did a factory reset (i think thats what you call it) and once it was FINALLY done he came out and said that my phone still had its problems. Once I learned that verizon no longer has phones like the enV, voyager, etc i just left since mine could still answer phone calls and some stuff on a good day, or so i thought. Once i got home and looked at my phone and it was done loading I noticed there was a triangle above my service bars and my phone has no connection to anything except wi-fi even though it has 2 bars of service. Sorry i'm not very good at explaining, but any help is great. I just want to know how to be able to re-connect it so i can at least make calls or send texts.
