I went on google search and typed in something and tried to save a picture to my phone by long pressing, but it didn't work...is it even possible? I was also wondering if this can be done with facebook...

Seems that camera is saving pictures darker than originally taken. Anyone else notice this? To test i took a couple pics of my computer monitor, they are nice and bright just after camera takes the pic but when i go to albums to view them they are considerably darker. I even bumped the brightness all the way up to +3 that helped some but still dark.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am currently on my second Eris and I am having problems with my trackball not responding and something screwy with my camera not saving my pictures.
Right now I would rather pay to downgrade to another phone like a BB or even pay full retail value for a completely different Droid because I am afraid if they send me another Eris it is just going to break again.
If I call VZW and talk to them, will they send me another Eris that will most likely to break or will they send me a D1 or an Incredible?
I love my Eris but i just can't use it anymore and i feel like i will keep having problems if they keep sending me refurbs.

View 3 Replies View Relatedi dont know if anyone has had this problem or not on a Motorola CLIQ, But When i Get A picture Message And I save it, it gives a little notification saying that it saved to the SD card, and everything seems fine and dandy. but when i Go to the picture gallery, the photo isn't there. -__- sometimes it will take forever, but it shows up eventually, and sometimes it doesnt even do that. This also happens sometimes when i save a picture from the web browser.

So I use a gallery and a cursor to select the picture I want to manipulate, copy the picture to a bitmap so I can perform some filter operations and afterwards save the new bitmap as a new file to the phone. So I figured out that there are basically two options I have to save the image. One is to use the MediaStore.Images.Media.insertImage() method, which generally would work, but I don't want a thumbnail to be created. The second option, which I actually use, is to use an OutputStrem.

I received my 2.1 OTA Download last night and all has worked well, the only problem I have found thus far is saving pictures from Handcent SMS to my SD card. It won't let me copy them over for some reason.

Luckily Verizon will replace it for me under insurance (after paying my deductible). However before I send back the old phone I want to get my old pictures and texts off it. Is that possible?
The phone itself is working (lower soft keys light up, I can feel haptic feedback, etc). NOTHING appears on the screen however. When I plug my USB cable in, I get a sound on my PC indicating a USB device is plugged in, but since I can't see the phone screen, I can't mount the device via the notifications menu.
I am using the People widget to display the Favorites group on one of my panels.
I figured out how to get the picture from the phone to be the one used for the contacts, but three of them keep reverting to the facebook pictures and I can't figure out why.

I'm a heavy user, and I just think the incredible can be more efficient than it currently is.
I'm running the Skyraider 2.5.2 vanilla rom and King Kernel BFS #1.
The King Kernel is great when the phone is on standby, but when I am doing some web browsing or more, it drains the battery very fast.
I've also tried the Hydra Kernel stock speed undervolt. That seemed to give moderately better battery life than the regular .32 kernel.
I don't care about overclocking, 1ghz is plenty fast for me.
i was wondering about the hydra kernals. I installed the latest overvolt hydra kernal. My question is when you go into idle, does it underclock for you? Or do you have to install undervolt to do that? Also can you install both overvolt and undervolt at the same time? (not literally at the same time but have both kernals at once to get the most power and battery saving?)
