I'm rooted, running a custom ROM, and have S-OFF and a custom kernel.
I'm looking to sell it (4 batteries, 3 cases, 1 external charger, all stock accessories, 8GB class 4 microSD).
In what order should I "undo" everything in order to recondition the Incredible back to stock? Is there a particular order that's optimal?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've tried the leaked 2.2 and the OTA. One of the two is destroying my 3g reception. I'm getting only location services in many places where I had 1x or 3g reception. In general its just a pain for me. I want to go back to 2.1. I have a backup but I wanted to make sure I wouldn't be breaking anything by flashing to it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm so frustrated with MMS.I can't get them to send using Handcent or ChompSMS without numerous forwarding attempts. I can receive them immediately with no problems from other people even on differenct carriers, but they won't send.I finally got my SMS to stop crashing/force closing and deleting all my messages by uninstalling the Antivirus app. Im on day two (since the uninstall) without a force close.I had no problem sending MMS until I installed Handcent. I even uninstalled Handcent.Rebooted and re-installed. No outgoing MMS without 2 or 3 message forwards. I tried the Airplane Mode trick. No change. After uninstallling Handcent again, I chose ChompSMS to see if that works. Same thing.it's a no go for sending out. The stock messaging app is the only one that works, but it's so BORING.

My bootup is still UltimateDroid while I try to get to stock. Anyone know what to do?

Recently did a phone reset to try and get rid of connection issues - I have my back up but it doesn't seem to restore all the data/apps. The phone is set to back up everything on the card through its setting menu but I don't know how to restore these - anyone any ideas
View 1 Replies View RelatedFinally couldn't take it any longer and installed the RUU then hours later I hear that the Official update.zip is slightly different with a change to gmail (and frankly, at this point, who knows what else.) Also I am seeing "make sure you have the correct "baseband"(?) So for me and I would imagine a few others. Can someone make this a nice clean and complete how to get from RUU to update.zip thread? I have seen a lot of bits and pieces of what it takes.

I was on rooted 2.1 and followed the steps of intalling the ota and then re-rooted and installed the leaked froyo.I tried most of the fixes, but would rather wait for the "real" Froyo OTA. My question is simple, do I have to remove the effects of the OTA (downgrade the hboot) before I re-flash to a stock 2.1 or will the 2.1 reflash take care of that?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI rooted my phone using Universal Androot (worked perfectly) and then proceeded to install ROM Manager to flash a custom ROM to my Ally. I used the Flash ClockworkMod Recovery first (sucessfully) then used Backup Current ROM to backup the stock (V8) ROM (sucessfully). I then proceeded to install the Velocity 0.1.1 ROM (sucessfully).
I've searched here a bit, and am unclear as to the process to restore my stock ROM using ROM Manager. I believe it would work as follows?:
Use Manage and Restore Backups. Select backup I made, and then restore.
If I wanted to un-root, I could then just use Universal Androot to un-root the phone (although I havent tried that part yet).
Love the ROM, just curious how to go back if I need to.
I have a rooted Nexus S with Cyanogen 7.1.0.1 and I'm trying to get it back to stock. but the problem is that my phone won't recognize that it's being plugged into my PC. I have tried reinstalling the drivers and I have tried different USB ports and USB cables. Nothing seems to work. I have also tried restoring to an old backup I did months ago when there was nothing on the phone and it still won't recognize it.
Sometimes, very randomly, the PC will recognize that I've plugged in a device but it will automatically say that the drivers could not be installed.
Formatted my SD card yesterday and was cleaning up the internal memory of music as well since I was having issues with duplicate playlists etc. Just recieved a call today and noticed it wasn't my normal ringtone. I go to contacts(any of them) and see there is only one option for a ringtone. So unless there is a virus on my phone, I've accidently deleted my stock ringtones. Anyway to get the rintone folder back on the phone short of doing a complete reinstall of the OS? Take it back. My ringtones are still on the phone on the internal memory. I can play them fine in Mixzing/stock player, but are not showing up when I click on contacts/ringtone etc..

Your phone has an internal cache where it stores this information. Sometimes this cache gets out of sync. You can delete this cache by looking for an application called "Media Store" (or similar) in "Settings->Applications->Manage Applications". You may have to press the menu button and change the filter to show all applications. Once you find "Media Store", open its options page and select "Clear Data". Then reboot the phone to force the cache to be rebuilt. Also, try searching your storage for *.m3u files, delete any of these files that are not in the "syncr" directory.

I had done several things before (rooting, installing cwm recovery through rom manager, etc) until my phone got bricked, and tried a lot of things until i have flashed Cyanogenmod, and it woks just fine (and its cool), but I have changed it back to original stock firmware using KDZ flasher. Now, I tried to boot my phone in recovery mode (by holding volume down+back+power button) and CWM recovery is booted. I want to get rid of it and restore back my original recovery, because, i suppose, it was the reason why my phone was bricked before (i wiped and formatted the system and updated the firmware using fOTA, and the result was a CWM bootloop)

Anyway, here I am stuck on the CWM-Based Recovery v5.5.0.4. It wouldn't let me install any zip file that I put it on my microSD card. It also says that the image file is corrupt when I choose to install from the card.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI want the hulu app to work, apparently newest leak it does not. I can do root and s-off, don't want to go through backing up apps and restoring. Want the most stable 2.2. Needs verizon's 3g hotspot working. Doesn't need sense. What rom do I need, and what are the steps to getting this done? If it's always recommended to do a full backup, wipe, and restore, then bleh.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI thought I would put one of the available pedometer apps on my Incredible, thinking it shouldn't be too hard to find one as handy as what my old Sony Walkman phone shipped with (it ran when the screen was off, tracking my whole week's walking). Needless to say, I am disappointed that HTC does not support this functionality, causing any installed pedometer apps to quit counting steps as soon as the phone sleeps. With the supercharged battery which I plan on buying, I wouldn't be sweating so much the power consumption, and it's really disappointing to be left without the choice to let programs of my choice run. Will there be a fix for this problem anytime soon? Anyone happen to know, of if there's something else I can do about it?
View 11 Replies View RelatedI rooted with Un revoked 3. I installed the Virtuous Rom 2.7 with Custom Kernel. I restored all apps from Titanium, but my MMS/SMS did not return. I had to restore from My Backup Pro. I would like to only keep one and use one Backup app. Is this normal for Titanium?
View 4 Replies View RelatedPerhaps it was only a one time occurrence, but long story short I can confirm that if you have a rooted phone, make a backup, unroot for some reason, then reroot, you can in fact restore to your backup.
