I have a new 16gb card that I got what is the proper way to transfer files?I want to backup my contacts and add photos and media to the new 16gb card.My 2gb card was in my incredible when I activated it.... does this change anything?

Is there anything special I need to do to transfer data from an old SD card (the stock 2GB) to a new one (8GB)? Can I just copy the entire old card using a card reader to my PC, then copy all of that back to the new card? Or do I need to do anything special on the Incredible itself?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI searched the Incredible forums and sub forums and could not find an answer to this question, though I am sure it has been asked: If I want to go from my stock 2 GB card to a new card, and I want to preserve data AND have all apps still be able to read whatever data they were reading off the card, do I just transfer the files from one card to the other? I bet the only thing I need to make sure of is that new card is formatted with the same file system as the original card, right? I know copying data from one card to the other will preserve data, but I want to make sure I have no problems with apps, either, after inserting the newer card.

Suppose my user marked a row unread. Would a proper implementation mark the row in the database as read and then requery the Cursor?
1. Is it a 16GB or 32GB expansion slot?
2. If 16GB
a - Will it accept a 32GB Card - just only show 16GB?
b - Is it possible that a firmware upgrade would allow for a 32GB Card?
What i'm getting at is, can i buy a 32GB Card and expect the Incredible to accept it in hopes that A. It allows for 32GB or B. Future firmware will make it available?
I tried formatting my 16gb micro sd card for my new Incredible and when formatting was complete my card says I only have 1.83gb of total space on the card. I tried downloading the sd card formatting tool from Home - SD Association hoping it would fix the problem but it doesnt. I tried formatting by syncing my phone to my dell laptop and by the card reader on my laptop and still no solution.

So is there any way so that i can enable the data connection but my phone does not connect to internet to itself but i control which app connects. In my case opera mini.
Is there a % you realistically want to stay around for every hour the phone is on but the screen is turned off?

When I switched over from a ENV touch to a Incredible they were able to restore all my text messages, pics and contacts.
How do I do this with the Incredible?
I use the mp3 player often, the dInc replaced my ipod But sometimes i will pause the music because i dont know how to really "stop" it, and let the phone charge overnight. The next day when i unplug my headset, the music starts playing on the speaker! I had the exact issue on my blackberry, and never investigated it.
View 11 Replies View RelatedSo the default Sense clock widget has a mode called desk clock, and it basically switches the entire screen to a black background with a digital clock on it. It's simple, but I like the idea for when I'm sleeping or working on the computer or whatever. Thing is, the screen still times out and locks itself at the normal length of time, which makes the mode pretty useless. Does anyone know of a way around this, or is this really feature really that poorly planned?

Do I have to open the htc mail program for it to sync? I want my emails to automatically be sent to my phone. If I go to people I am the only one there. If I search or dial they are there but if I just look at people it does not show them. I reset contact storage but that did not help. I added a contact on my phone to the google contacts and the count went to 466 and the one I added shows up on the phone.

I have searched here and over the net and the only suggestion people really gave were rebooting and turning on/off debugging mode.Neither made a bit of difference for me whatsoever.It is a used phone that I purchased from someone on here, but everything else on it has been flawless. I think it may be using a custom 2.1 install, but I am unsure.I guess I could try reverting it to stock.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI cannot get my Iphone 3G and DHD to sync my contacts using the "Transfer Data" function. I follow the on screen instructions on the DHD. Set the Iphone to 'discoverable' but cant get any further. Usually the Iphone doesn't even appear on the DHD Bluetooth devices list and on the odd occassion that it does, as soon as i go to connect it drops out and says i should restart both phones. I have done this numerous times to no avail. Has anyone managed to do this same transfer? And if so can they provide a little assistance?

I have a droid x, but over the weekend I got a razr maxx. What is the best way to transfer the data I want to keep, while not transferring data I don't need onto my new phone. My sd card seems to have a lot of files on it other than just my pictures and videos. I have titanium backup with all of my apps and data backed up. Should I only backup and restore user apps? Or I should I backup and restore user apps + system apps? My main concern is transferring things I don't need on my new phone. I don't want to clutter it up with useless files and data from old apps.

I have a PNY 16GB HC Micro SD card (in virgin mobile samsung reverb). I've had it for about seven months and the other day i dropped my phone (in otter box) and then it said it couldn't read my sd card so i pulled it and blew out the slot and on the card and put it back. It then said "SD card blank or unsupported data, so i put it in the adapter and put it in my computer. it detected it and i started to move my pictures and apps over to a file. in the middle of this it said "data transfer interrupted, please insert disk into drive" so i pulled it out and put it back. it did the same thing two more times and now it won't detect it at all. i don't wanna loose all the stuff.
