Dec 19, 2009I have purchased the apps "Open Home" and "Better Keyboard" for my Droid and love them both. The only thing that i cant figure out is how to hide all the icons in my pull up menu. I have downloaded multiple skins and the icons are all over my pull up menu and i dont need to see them. is there any way to hide them. If not i can get over it but it would be nice not to have to look at them all the time. any help would be much appreciated.

Sep 8, 2010I rooted my phone recently and installed the leaked 2.2 update.I ran Unrevoked as well as Unrevoked Forever, so I have S-OFF on my phone.I want to now put the official 2.2 release on my phone, while of course keeping my root.It would be best to keep my data on there, but if I have to run a Titanium backup and restore once it's installed, that's okay too.I just need to know the process to do this and where to get the update.I am running the leaked 2.2 Froyo update from May and I have the 2.05.00.06.11 radio.

Mar 26, 2010Kinda sick of all the knock-off versions of the same damn games. Where are the licensed franchises and big name IP's? The iPhone has plenty. Hell, even Java-based phones had a better selection of quality games. The Android market has alot of either crap or games that are trying too hard to show off the capabilities of a select few devices (unfortunately the latter seem to be the ones that are considered the "best" games on the market).

Seems every so often (I think following and install/uninstall maybe) all the titles under each app are slid to the right and i usually have to reboot to fix. Mar 26, 2010I'm a VZW subscriber. I currently use a Storm 2 (HATE IT). I have been waiting... and waiting for the N1. I have a friend that works in the higher ups of VZW (not retail). I was just giving him shit the other day about the N1 situation. He said, "you should just get the Incredible it has slight better specs and the optical mouse.". I then told him my dislike for Sense UI. He said, "well then just root it".Would there be any difference between a rooted N1 and a rooted Incredible? Wouldn't they then have the exact same OS? (Provided I was going to flash it with Cyanogen). Thusly I would have the same phone with better specs, if I got the Inc over the N1. Is this flawed thinking? Since the N1 is Googles phone and gets updates first. When you root and flash with a diff ROM, do you then not get updates? I'm guessing you would be reliant on the updates to that ROM which ever MOD you choose.

I realize that Handcent does this, but I am not the biggest fan of this on the Incredible, I really did enjoy it on the Droid though. Nov 7, 2010I was just curious which Gameloft titles people own or have tried, and what their take on them is. I'd also like to know what devices you are running them on (although I guess your pot would indicate that under your name...) and what problems, if any, that you have encountered (bugs, force closes, etc.). I have the bought Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X. and Dungeon Hunter, and here are my thoughts on them. Plane graphics are awesome, and the game play is pretty cool. Basically just a scaled down version of the PC/Console game. 13 missions give you a fair amount of gameplay and you can fly over 20 different planes and upgrade their weapon loads which is pretty cool. Gameloft LIVE and the achievement system make the game fun to play time and time again. I also like using the Accelerometer with this game too, and it works like a charm. I have not run into any bugs or anything of the sort with this game.Graphically the best RPG on the market (at least until Pocket Legends comes out, but even with that the two different styles will make them unique). Quite a few quests to do, hundreds of armor upgrades and ways to customize your characters. Gameplay is pretty smooth as well. The storyline and conversations get kind of cheesy at times, but overall a decent game. I encountered one part of the game causing a force close every time. At the end you defeat the last boss and there is a portal you are supposed to take after. This portal alone causes force closures every single time. Anyone have any of the other titles? How is the online multiplayer for those that have it (such as Modern Combat and NOVA)?

I register a context menu on an AdapterView, via registerContextMenu(adaptive), and then implement the onCreateContextMenu, like this: CharSequence title = context.getString(R.string.txt, userName); title = Html.fromHtml((String) title); MenuItem item = menu.add(ContextMenu.NONE, ContextMenu.NONE, ContextMenu.NONE, title); The context menu displays correctly, however when it is clicked I get an illegalArgumentException from the EventLog class when it tries to print out the condensedTitle. So I have found without setting the condensedTitle explicitly to something that is a String this occurs. Why is this marked as a CharSequence if it cannot handle it?

For example, it just searched my SD card and came up with an "icons" folder that contains various program icons. Is there seriously no way to tell it not to appear in HTC album? On windows mobile we had to resort to registry edits to correct this, but I'm afraid we can't do that on android... Also, is there serious no subfolders? I like that I can get their pics, email, other phone numbers, etc. What I don't like is that my phonebook has 100 contacts from Facebook that I will never ever call.
