Play Video File On Android Device But Getting Error - Cannot Play Video
Aug 7, 2011Im using Eclipse created new android project.First thing i added to the menifest xml file two lines:

Now i tried to play a video file .3gp from the internet youtube link via my android device ! not emulator. And it worked! But when i tried to play a video file .3gp or .mp4( i converted the mp4 from 3gp ) its not working. Im getting error "Cannot play video Sorry, this video cannot be played"
Tried to play with the link to my device wich is: I:DCIM100MEDIAVIDEO0030.3gp or .mp4 or tried this: I:/DCIM/100MEDIA/VIDEO0030.3gp with "" like: "I:/DCIM/100MEDIA/VIDEO0030.3gp ";
I tried to remove the I: but it didn't change anything.This is the main code im using to play the video files on my device. And there some lines i marked with // wich i used to play from the internet and im not using now.

HTC Incredible :: Yahoo - "Cannot Play Video - Sorry This Video Cannot Be Played" / Deal With This?
May 3, 2010I know this is not a big deal but it is still bothersome. When I try to run video while on Yahoo's site I get message "Cannot play video - Sorry this video cannot be played." I have no issues with ESPN, Cnet, etc. I'm able to run these yahoo videos on my wife's Eris with 2.1 (v.3).
Anyone know how to deal with this issue?
HTC Incredible :: Video Files Over 2 GB Won't Play
Jun 3, 2010i noticed while putting movies on my phone storage, not my sd card, that files over 2 GB will not play. This is bad.I converted The Dark Knight the same as I convert all my other movies. It would play on my computer but not my phone. So I checked the "Details" of the file on my phone. It showed as 0 bytes when it should have been 2.09 GB.I thought it might have converted with an error. Converted it two more times. Same problem. Finally I converted it with a lower resolution to bring the size down to 1.8 GB. It plays just fine.

Jul 3, 2010I just recorded a video and when I tried to play it back I got a, sorry cannot play video message. It's stored to the phone not the SD but that shouldn't make a difference. I've taken pictures and haven't had any problems viewing them.

Jun 14, 2010Recently a client asked me to make their site "work on smart phones", which normally wouldn't be too much of an issue... However it's a video site, and I have absolutely no idea where to even begin. Right off the bat I'm not even going to consider allowing the site to even function in anything other than Android (Maybe even 2.0+) and iPhone, maybe Blackberry and WinMo. But beyond that... What do I do? I'm looking at using the tag, however I'm unsure what, if any, codecs which phone uses. Is HTML5 even adopted in their browsers yet?
Could someone please point me in the right direction? Am I going about this the right way, using the tag? Or is there some magical html element both iPhone and Android (And BB and WMo) that lets them run video in their native video players (Like on youtube).

I couldn't open the attachment through the stock gmail app. I went on the browser to access the desktop version of gmail and when I went to download the video a message came up saying I didn't have a program to march the video. Jul 19, 2010I was watching the camera videos filmed at droid Dog site of the samsung g vibrant and another camera beats ours. The iphone 4 is the leader in video but htc can't even beat Samsung. Is this hardware or software? This is worth rooting over if we can match the competition video quality. I love the phone but come on htc you can do better.

If she calls me through the facetime feature on her iphone is there a way for me to connect to her video call so that we can both see each other on video? Do I need to download an app(maybe an app made by apple that is made to run on android phones) to enable my phone to have the capability of accepting facetime calls made from her iphone? Or should we just forget about the facetime nonsense and just use something like skype or another similar app that will run on both the iphone and android devices? But she does not want to go to the trouble of singing up to something in order to use an app.
