The boys at XDA created a working Swype skin with microphone voice to text button. I am not sure if I can post the link but a simple search in the XDA forum should find it. Look for in the in EVO subforum. Although it was meant for the EVO it works great on the Incredible!Remember to uninstall current version first.

I have it set up as the default entry method in Hand cent, but I miss the microphone icon in the touch keyboard, because sometimes "speaking" a text message is convenient. Is there a short cut to use the voice input when using swype, or do I have to hold down on the text entry part and switch to "touch keyboard" each time? If you are using swype and can still use the microphone button, please let me know how.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to adjust this? I was at a concert last night and tried to record a few clips, and when I got home, everything is muffled as hell. I found someone else who posted a video of the concert and was maybe ~15-20' from where I was at, yet theres is clear. I doubt it was from another incredible, but I've had this issue with digital cameras too. Any way I can fix this so I can get some good clips next time i go to a concert?
View 1 Replies View RelatedOne thing the Incredible doesn't have that the Nexus One does is the fancy noise cancellation technology. I'm a little surprised at how little this is being mentioned and I'm also puzzled at why this feature was dropped since on paper it sounds like such a good thing. Does anyone have experience with how well it worked? Did it not work out as well as planned, was it a cost saving measure to drop it, or does nobody actually talk directly into their phone anymore?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've got a male to male 3.5MM connector to plug into my aux port in my stereo of my car. I can stream Pandora, slacker etc, with no problem. HOWEVER, when I initially plug it in, my notification bar shows the headset Icon. After a while however, it turns into the Microphone enabled headset icon and it pulls up the Voice dialer app. This then kill slacker/pandora or anything else I'm running. If I'm able to listen for a while without it messing with the streaming app, once someone calls, then music stops, I can talk handsfree and then it goes back to the music when the call ends. But then almost immediately, the voice dialer app is brought back up and I'm back in the same situation where everything dies.

My only complaint is that when I am actually on the phone, the callers on the other end hear a lot of background noise. The microphone seems to pick up everything. I cannot even talk on the phone if I am in an environment that has any ambient noise because callers are bombarded with the ambient noise. On this note, I was just wondering if there was any way to change the microphone sensitivity and back it off a little bit so that it is usable in environments that contain some ambient noise.

View 20 Replies View RelatedI'm actually running ICS on my galaxy ace and it's damn cool. I use it all day long for texting. Before switching to ICS I was using GoSMS or Handcent. But the ICS sms app is sooooo smooth and so beautiful - really clear. The contact picture in the notification is a very good thing for me too. That's why I don't want to change for GoSMS or Handcent. But emojis are really cool too, and I'm searching if there's a way to implement them in a modded ICS sms app.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI tried modding some APK to make the app able to be multi view (tutorial : URL... ), I succeed modding 8tracks.apk, musicxmatch.apk but then when I tried to do it to LINE (NAVER) and installed it, it said "app was not installed".
It is a system tool while building the apk, and it still doesn't work.why some people said to not sign a system tool apk? while from what i've read, android cannot install an unsigned apk. mod the NAVER/LINE Games to stop checking if i am a rooted device?
I like changing the DPI of my Galaxy Nexus to 240dpi
Unfortunately, this makes some apps run in tablet mode (Plume Pro and Tweetcaster Pro)
Changing to 241dpi fixes this
However, this ruins my market - I can no longer get updates for many of my apps ("This app is not compatible with your device")
There is an option with LCD Density Modder Pro to use a 'modded market' - this seems to solve my problem, however... is using this modded market safe? Because surely it's some sort of hack and so I shouldn't keep my card details within it (to purchase apps?)

But while recompiling I get a hell lot of errors....

So I have couple modded games like zenonia 3 and 4 .. when i on 4.1.2 that apk work perfectly.. but then i do fresh install to update to 4.2.2
After update to 4.2.2 i reinstall that modded game..but when i run that apps, its force close..what should i do to make apps working on newer rom?
Rom and kernel stock 4.2.2 and 4.2.1 both crash.. I already tried edit prop and fix permission both fail..

View 2 Replies View RelatedI installed the modded playstore on my Stock Galaxy S4 ROM so I could disable self-updates, but it didn't work. When I went to uninstall the cracked play store launcher, it still said I had the cracked play store. I used TBP to restore the play store/google services framework to an older point and then I wiped the Delvik cache, but when I rebooted it said I still had the cracked version.
I have ClockworkMod recovery but I didn't do a nandroid backup before I installed the cracked play store, and I don't want to factory reset my phone.
Is there any modded kernel forthis device...searched a lot but couldn't find one...

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I have the Droid X but I noticed that the Droid 2 now has a themed version of Swype to fit in with the rest of the UI. I like it a lot.
My question is this. When you push the voice-to-text button does it pop up a window like earlier versions of Swype or does it do the really fast and slick thing that the multi touch keyboard does (just replace the keyboard with the audio waveform thing).
This would fix my only complaint about the phone! It's quite annoying when I'm in a call and doing something else on the phone, and I lose the soft end call button and can't hang up.
