Oct 11, 2013I installed the modded playstore on my Stock Galaxy S4 ROM so I could disable self-updates, but it didn't work. When I went to uninstall the cracked play store launcher, it still said I had the cracked play store. I used TBP to restore the play store/google services framework to an older point and then I wiped the Delvik cache, but when I rebooted it said I still had the cracked version.
I have ClockworkMod recovery but I didn't do a nandroid backup before I installed the cracked play store, and I don't want to factory reset my phone.
General :: Samsung Galaxy Chat Not Charging Correctly
Sep 9, 2013So, I have the Samsung Galaxy Chat (GT-s5330) and I have a weird problem. When I connect it to a charger (happens on wall charger and on PC connection) it turns off immediately, and it can't be turn on whatsoever. I left it a whole night charging, and in the morning, when I disconnected it and turned it on, it had low battery and needed to be connected to the charger.

General :: Samsung Galaxy Chat WiFi And Bluetooth Not Turning On All Of A Sudden
Jun 22, 2013The wifi on my phone Samsung Galaxy Chat will not turn on all of a sudden. Same is the issue with Bluetooth.
The wifi button in the drop down screen is kind of greyed out and when settings is opened the [off-on] is greyed out. In wifi settings it just says "turning on...".
All firmware up to date. Phone isnt damaged or dropped. I have restarted the phone many times and also performed factory reset twice and cleared the cache too.

Jun 30, 2013I've just run trough all the setps to be able to build aosp on ubuntu. Currently I'm running a build, looks like it will take a while.
My goal is to build an aosp rom for the samsung galaxy chat, samsung provides downloads for 'platform' and kernel.
My question is, what should I do with the sources of the kernel and the platform, do I need to integrate them into the aosp source?
General :: Galaxy Note 2 - Group Chat?
Feb 16, 2013So I got the Galaxy Note 2 in December and I have been loving it but the only thing I miss is the iMessage group chat. So in the messaging app I can start a group chat but when I get texts back it just comes into that friend's name chat, not the group chat I started. But my main concern is that I am part of a group chat with my friends but it doesn't put those in a folder when they are sent to me. It just comes up as an MMS. I have tried GOSMSPro but maybe I am dumb and group chatting might not be possible to get all the messages in the same folder?

Sep 18, 2013OK.... let's assume I am not too sharp with tech (I actually typed in id**t but that is offensive? :O ) I'm not stupid, just not as tech savvy as I would like to be... I have the Galaxy Note and have, let's say... an emotional attachment to a particular WhatsApp chat thread I have in my Note.
Bullet points.
I have my chat on the Note with my current phone number, which will be transferred to the new phone tomorrow and a temporary number on my new S4 so am assuming that my old phone will have no number as of tomorrow.
The Note has a faulty USB (it's the phone port not the cable as my new cable doesn't work with it either) so I cannot backup on my PC.
I have installed ES File Explorer on both phones.
I have Whatsapp installed on the old phone, but not the new one yet as I understand you should do that after creating the WhatsApp backup on the new phone.
How do I use ES File Explorer to transfer my (will do backup first, I know how to do that) backed up WhatsApp chat from the Note to the S4? I do NOT wish to root either phone.

General :: Galaxy S3 - Heavy Stutters With Every Rom And Kernel
Mar 18, 2013So my Galaxy s3 all of a sudden started to have stutters, i have a custom rom Foxhound 2.3, and when i try any custom kernel it lags as hell. (Stock also gives stutters so its not kernel related i think)
For example perseus stutters my phone in app drawer and every time i open an application.
Syah 1.8.9. although its better, still have some stutters...
the only one that can have the phone more stable is the stock one. I dont really mind having the stock kernel its just that it makes the phone more stable but it still stutters when opening apps and in the app drawer.
Its weird because in applications i have no problems, and when im playing games is all good to.. even the more heavy intensive ones. Also my boot and shutdown animation stutter or jitters a little bit.. a thing that dint happened.
Also the benchmarks are good as always +/- 16000 on antutu, no changes... so i don't really understand whats happening...
Steps so far:
-Tested other custom roms including CM10.1 Nightly
-Tested various kernel.
-Flashed stock rom with odin
Every time with megawipe. always...

Mar 17, 2012I'm actually running ICS on my galaxy ace and it's damn cool. I use it all day long for texting. Before switching to ICS I was using GoSMS or Handcent. But the ICS sms app is sooooo smooth and so beautiful - really clear. The contact picture in the notification is a very good thing for me too. That's why I don't want to change for GoSMS or Handcent. But emojis are really cool too, and I'm searching if there's a way to implement them in a modded ICS sms app.

Samsung Moment :: Joeys Kernel And Get Stock Kernel Back
Jun 11, 2010where I have got right now on my phone, which is:
1. I updated to stock 2.1 using the sprint update tool.
2. I followed the video tutorial to root the phone
3. then i used joey's page (http://www.joeyconway.com/sdx/custom/index.php) to install the his kernel (joeykrim-SDX-kernel v2.0.4 (includes root)).
I have done nothing else to the phone but this and removing a couple of bloatware apps (i checked the list of permitted deletions before i removed anything.) I have not installed a new recovery..at least i dont think that I did as part of one of the other operations I performed (as an aside, i am not really sure what the custom recovery is or what it is used for, so i didnt install it...i guess i need to read up more...)
So that is where I am..but i have a couple of questions.
1) i am now having issues with my wifi connection - the signal reception is very spotty in areas where i should have atleast 2 bars of reception, and the wifi often cuts out completely....Is there any know corellation between joey's kernel and this wifi issue? I have searched the forums and have found nothing that answers this.
2) Is there an easy way to get back to the stock kernel? I have read that i can get back to stock everything by using the sprint download center where I did my original 2.1 update. But is there a way to get back to just the stock kernel without wiping the phone?

After update to 4.2.2 i reinstall that modded game..but when i run that apps, its force close..what should i do to make apps working on newer rom?
Rom and kernel stock 4.2.2 and 4.2.1 both crash.. I already tried edit prop and fix permission both fail..

Apr 4, 2013Unable to find my stock firmware.. every link points to the same file from hotfile.com and my ISP provider sucks causing the download to get stuck in between, tried two times at 100Kbps, failed both the times, once at 62%(552 MB)! its very hard to download it, any non hotfile link or some direct link if possible, can download it and host it as a torrent or something because i have very bad net connection and its slow also.
