I was modding holo launcher to give it a whole new look....
I changed name in the strings.xml

Changed Icons and animations...
I used all apk tools available from
1. APKTool
2.APKMultiTool
3. APK Manager
But while recompiling I get a hell lot of errors....
What to do?
I recompiled many times still errors

I have installed apk its name is holo launcher i have updated my android galaxy y dous gt-6102 to ics by holo launcher .Now i want to delete this apk and back to my original android system.

But when I attempt recompiling, it gives A LOT of errors stating at the end "... is not defined". This is not an after-mod error because I tried recompiling it right after decompiling, without even opening the decompiled folder. It still gives the same error.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI wanted to add ios6 emoji's onto an already modded with previous emojies, MMS.apk. I extracted the emoji .png files from handcent and i placed them in the folder with all the other emojis.I then went into values > public.xml and I edited the id codes so that all of the ios6 emojis would be in this file (I also extracted this from handcent but I had to re-write the id code. While doing so, I also had to re-write some of the id codes for other items that weren't emojis because if I didnt, the id codes would duplicate since I went in order while writing the id code). But when I recompile the apk, it wont recompile. I've tried previous versions of apktool and also apkmanager.
I have also included the original MMS.apk and my framework-res.apk..it wont upload onto xda so I uploaded it on my dropbox! URL.....
Is there a CM9 theme, which changes original ICS blue elements to white, without changins icons and other things(much like this, this, this or this one)?
I'm using Samsung Galaxy S II with latest CM9 official nightling.
I am looking for more lockscreen holo target icons for cm 10.1.3 but cant find anything with a proper icon size! every icon i tried looks small.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI tried to decompile the Gmail.apk with Apktool, but it said: can't decode attr value, value=0x00004001. And after that some more errors.
I tried it with and without framework install first, and I got the latest version of Apktool. Still nothing works, although I can decompile other apps.
I have an Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7" (the 2012 one, not the 2013 one), and I am trying to pre-root the stock software for it (version 7.4.6). I downloaded the update in a .bin format, renamed it to .zip and de-compiled it with 7-zip. I put the su and busybox binaries in "/system/xbin/", and added CWM's Superuser.apk to "/system/app/", and added a couple of more tweaks to it as well.
I adjusted the update-script file accordingly, and re-compiled the ROM. I moved it over to my Kindle, rebooted into recovery, wiped, flashed, and... bootloop and eventual TWRP.
Actually I am in deep trouble because of my Galaxy Note now days. It is having TW Launcher error. I am totally unable to use my phone. It keeps restarting itself after every 10 sec. Everybody is giving me advice to Hard Reset / Factory Reset to my device. But my Major problem is that I have some very very important (almost 900 pics) saved in its internal memory. These pics are very very important for me and I do not want to loose these pics at all.
I am unable to take backup because its does not recognised by my or any other Laptop due to it restarting issue. This is the reason why I am not giving my mobile to any technician because no one is giving me any guarantee about my data.
It seems like such a simple thing...it can be done system-wide by editing the framework file, but it seems like using the CM Theme Engine would be much nicer.
Is there any such theme, which is just Holo Light (or Holo Light with Dark Action Bar)?

I'm actually running ICS on my galaxy ace and it's damn cool. I use it all day long for texting. Before switching to ICS I was using GoSMS or Handcent. But the ICS sms app is sooooo smooth and so beautiful - really clear. The contact picture in the notification is a very good thing for me too. That's why I don't want to change for GoSMS or Handcent. But emojis are really cool too, and I'm searching if there's a way to implement them in a modded ICS sms app.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI tried modding some APK to make the app able to be multi view (tutorial : URL... ), I succeed modding 8tracks.apk, musicxmatch.apk but then when I tried to do it to LINE (NAVER) and installed it, it said "app was not installed".
It is a system tool while building the apk, and it still doesn't work.why some people said to not sign a system tool apk? while from what i've read, android cannot install an unsigned apk. mod the NAVER/LINE Games to stop checking if i am a rooted device?

However, this ruins my market - I can no longer get updates for many of my apps ("This app is not compatible with your device")
There is an option with LCD Density Modder Pro to use a 'modded market' - this seems to solve my problem, however... is using this modded market safe? Because surely it's some sort of hack and so I shouldn't keep my card details within it (to purchase apps?)
So I have couple modded games like zenonia 3 and 4 .. when i on 4.1.2 that apk work perfectly.. but then i do fresh install to update to 4.2.2
After update to 4.2.2 i reinstall that modded game..but when i run that apps, its force close..what should i do to make apps working on newer rom?
Rom and kernel stock 4.2.2 and 4.2.1 both crash.. I already tried edit prop and fix permission both fail..

View 2 Replies View RelatedI installed the modded playstore on my Stock Galaxy S4 ROM so I could disable self-updates, but it didn't work. When I went to uninstall the cracked play store launcher, it still said I had the cracked play store. I used TBP to restore the play store/google services framework to an older point and then I wiped the Delvik cache, but when I rebooted it said I still had the cracked version.
I have ClockworkMod recovery but I didn't do a nandroid backup before I installed the cracked play store, and I don't want to factory reset my phone.
Is there any modded kernel forthis device...searched a lot but couldn't find one...

I was having a look at tghe lanucher pro beta app which is OK but sense is better. Anyway, I uninstalled it and now HTC sense is force closing all the time and I am unable to get to the app settings to see what the problem is. get me to a place where I can sort this out. Will I have to do some form of hard reboot?
I recently installed launcher pro beta (which I love) and removed home++ which I had been using for some time. I've also installed the latest update for launcher pro.As part of this change I added some live wallpaper. Funny thing is that my phone (droid) will just spontaneously revert back to the background I was using with home++. The live wallpaper will work for a short time, then I'll turn my phone on and, voila, old background. I can't even find that background anywhere on my phone.I have no idea why my phone is doing this and how I can delete this rogue background from replacing my live wallpaper.

As most of you know that after downloading it, pressing the home button gives you the option of which home screen launcher that you want to..well.. launch..either HTC Sense or Launcher Pro. Well this morning I picked Launcher Pro, but accidently clicked the "don't ask me this again" box before that, so now I'm stuck on Launcher Pro and can't get back to my, or any, HTC Sense launcher. I've gone all through my settings and can't figure it out. I'd like to either get back to my old HTC Sense home screen, get to the DEFAULT HTC Sense homescreen, or get back to being able to have the option to pick which one I want to launch.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been using LP for about a week (it's great BTW!) and this just started to happen so it could have something to do with the latest update. I've set LP at the default launcher and everything works great. However, if I ever long press the "home" button, go to an application, then press "home" again I get the popup asking me which launcher I want to use. I check the "set as default" box then select LP and everything is good again. It all works until I long press home the next time, then the remembered default is gone and I get the prompt again. I've tried rebooting, clearing defaults, etc.
