Anyone with similar experiences? Recently I started losing my 3G signal on occasion and restarting to get it back. Right now I don't have 3G and restarting did not help. Even my wifi signal will disappear leaving me with no internet and I will need to disable and re-enable wifi to reconnect.

I have the HTC Incredible and I really like it. I'm amazed at everything I can do with it. The only problem is; I live in an area with really bad cell phone service. I hardly get any bars, one if I'm lucky. So I got to thinking about all the apps available for the droid phones. And I started to wondering if there is any way to use my wifi connection to help me get out on my cell phone. Or if there is an app out to help with this.

After a reboot 3g returned. now this afternoon my 3g signal just dis appeared on its own. anyone else having the same issue? maybe my phone is finally dying.

However, this then STAYS like this even when I am back in a normal area, sometimes for hours before I have even noticed that reception was lost.The only way that I have found to get reception back is to power off my phone and restart it.I have called o2, and the only advise they had for me was to remove the sim card and 'give it a little wipe',

I turn it on and with 15 seconds, it turns off. It will pair with my car but than disconnects when the bluetooth turns off. Took out the battery and that did not work. View 5 Replies View RelatedI really hope this isn't normal. When I go to sleep and wake up 8-9 hours later, my phone loses 20% battery. I have Wi-fi, BT, GPS, and sync turned off. No task managers except for the System Panel Lite which I don't even use. Any ideas why I lose so much battery over night? And a completely unrelated problem. When I click on add application in LauncherPro, it takes forever to find all the apps. It's almost instant whenever I restart the phone, but takes longer as the phone stays on. I know I can add apps by opening the app drawer (which loads the apps instantly) and long pressing the app, but this is still an annoying bug since it happens everytime I have to look though all apps (App Manager & Manager Apps in settings). Thoughts?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm on my third 'X'.Both returns have been for the identical reason.3G drops seemingly at random and then hangs on 1x for 'x' amount of time before it reverts back.Yes I can manually kick start the thing by going into airplane mode but this is ridiculous.I've tried all the other band-aid approaches; hard reset, *228/1, *228/2, etc.Nothing fixes the problem.This happens way to often to be considered a fluke.I can not afford to have this happen while in navigation mode as it renders that function useless.I really need to know from someone this in fact is A) identified and B) being addressed by Moto and/or VZW. If I can't I'm afraid I will have to return this and leave VZW.It's too bad as the phone is perfect except for this very annoying bug. Does anyone have solid information on this?

The battery completely drained and I never even had any apps running. I used the app killer to make sure I wasn't running anything. I barely used the phone this morning except for three text messages and sent an email. I just got a new battery sent from Verizon, I don't understand why it spazzed out on me.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo last night i had my phone sitting on my dresser while i watched the dodger game about 2 hours later when i picked it up and attempted to check face book, it kept giving me error messages. Convinced that this was another stupid FB error i went to surf the web only to say I was not connected to a network. I looked at the top of my phone and i had 3 bars but next to there bars there was no 1x or EV signal just the bars. I went into my settings and un clicked the mobile network and then clicked it again and it worked This has happened to me about 4 or 5 times since i owned the hero since December. Anyone have any similar stories or explanations? Also sometimes it seems that when my phone is sleeping, i wont get text messages until i unlock it?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have looked around for a fix but haven't found any yet.When I create trimmed ringtones via the htc trimmer and assign them to a contact, they will work fine until I reboot the phone. I tried some fixes like moving the ringtones to the SD card and that has allowed the phone to find them upon reboot but it will not put the tones back with the contacts. Is there a way to permanently stick the ringtone to the contact so they don't un-link after a reboot?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having problems with something on my Inc. When I'm in the middle of a call, with the call still connected and plenty of signal, I'll lose sound completely. Usually, this happens with the party on the other end of the call no longer being able to hear me. This doesn't happen on every call but it's happened numerous times now and really getting on my nerves. I mean, I love the features of the phone but in the end, it still *is* a phone and I need it to be able to be reliable as a phone.
I've tried *228 several times, both updating the software and roaming options, no help. I have the new(er) software that came out shortly after release and it was having the problem both before and after the software update.
Has anyone else had these issues?? Any ideas what it could be? Also, any thoughts as to what Verizon would do about it? I mean, if there are no new Inc's around, how would they replace it?
Can someone please outline what I need to do to switch from my 2gig to my 16gig without losing everything? Is it as simple as copying the 2gig to a folder on my computer, and throwing that folder in the 16 gig?

View 2 Replies View RelatedThis doesn't always happen but when it does, Slacker stops playing after every 2 or so songs. I get a message box that reads "Warning! Unable to find active data or WiFi connection. Would you like to quit the application?" and gives me Yes or No options. Clicking No returns me to the Stations list where selecting any station returns me to the one previously playing and starts the next song when I hit Play.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm not sure how to explain this. If I take a picture with my camera, it looks great on my phone. Colors are deep and full and the sharpness is fine. However, when I mail it to myself or try to access it from my computer, the colors look washed out and flat. It's not really a blown highlight problem and I'm shooting at 8MP. Here's an example:

Ever since I installed the new version of Swype (i have an official version), I constantly get a pop up tips screen.It tells me how the word I just typed was replaced by an earlier word I just types, and tells me how to delete it.It comes up constantly! From swipe settings, I�ve disabled the enable tip indicator to no avail.Its really hampered my user experience.I also have the other issue people mentioned where i have to reboot my phone, because it stops "swyping".Surprising to me that an upgrade is actually a downgrade.

Screen timeout constantly defaulting at 30 seconds. I'm not sure if it does it randomly or only after reboots, but I prefer it at two minutes and to just put it to sleep manually with the lock button.
My thunderbolt is acting up. It keeps losing signal and takes a long time to boot up. Will Verizon allow me to upgrade early even though I'm not due til November? ADR6400L

I recently placed a call to someone, and when the call became connected I heard a loud beeping sound constantly and the person on the other line couldn't hear me. I had installed an app, Task Killer, prior to this so I naturally thought this was affected. I shut down the app, placed the call again, and the same thing happened. I had to reset the battery on the phone to fix this problem.
View 2 Replies View RelatedOK today charged battery then turned off bump charged it turned it back one. HTC splash screen, then little splash screen then verizon splash screen then its reboots. It did this even if I removed the battery. Called Tech support had to clear all my data UGH!!!! luckily i did export to sd card a while back only missing about 20 contacts out of a 100 but its fixed now. Anyone else have this happen. I have had no problems with this phone til now.

At home i usually have between 1-2 signal bars (3g) on my Inc while my wife's blackberry has 3-4 bars. and while at work, i have 0-1 bars while my buddy 10 feet away with a moto driod has 3 bars in 3g. Does the Inc inherently have poor signal strength? or do i have a dud?
