HTC Incredible :: Login Failed For Gmail

The gmail on my HTC Incredible phone had been working perfectly for 4 months on Verizon, but recently the Gmail has basically stopped working. All it says is "login failed" whenever I try to refresh. I deleted the accounts and tried to re-add them, but now it still says "login failed." It seemed to be working when it was only connected to the WIFI, but now that's not working either. I can log in without a problem to my internet based gmail?

I keep Getting login failed but the internet browsers work fine. i didnt change anything its very strange.

Does anyone else use Gdocs with Inc? Loaded the app, get the log in screen but then get "Login Failed! Do you want to save this account?" Is this problem limited to the Inc because I never had a problem with my Moto Droid and Eris. I also get the 3 options..... "Use Secure Server, This is the Google Apps account and Use this account as default". I tried multiple combinations of checking and unchecking these items with no luck.

So I downloaded GV (Google Voice Dialer) and it always says "login failed." I know the app is no longer official supported but wondered if anyone else had this issue or if they could successfully log on. Kind of sucks because it looks like this is the only app that will route through Google Voice (without adds or dialing your GV number then PIN then #2 before making a call) unlike Flex Dialer.

Periodically I change my passwords and yesterday after doing so, and updating my htc mail settings I cannot access my mail. I am getting an error saying authentication failed. It had worked perfectly fine then several hours later I got the message when I went to check my mail - actually the lack of. Because I had noticed gmail notifier updating my mail on my computer but nothing on my phone.
I read elsewhere to try it on just a 3g connection, or going to wifi, neither worked. I have deleted the account, and tried setting it up from scratch to no avail. The gmail stock app works, I just like the mail widget from htc.

Somehow, I seem to have a worm virus in my hotmail email account. I have run a full system scan and changed my password etc. However, I can no longer access my hotmail account on my HTC Desire via the Mail icon - I keep getting a "login failed" message. This is obviously due to my password change. How can I change my password on the Desire so I can regain access to my email account?

When I go to Settings -> Accounts & Sync -> Facebook, it required me to log in. I enter THE CORRECT information, and yet it pop up with a little error saying "Login failed. try again"
I'v tried this over 100 times I swear..I have tried turning Wifi on and off, Sync on and off, removed Facebook app, rebooting the phone, changing the password of my Facebook account and signing in on a desktop PC and deleting "Samsung Mobile" from Application Settings.. Unfortunatly no avail. I even tried setting up sync with brothers account. Same problem.

I am trying to install sensation 3.3.401 but after i go to recovery and apply update from SD card it gives me E:signature verification failed installation aborted. It does nothing when i wipe cache or factory reset.when I reboot or turn on my phone it pops the HTC logo followed by another HTC logo and a restart over and over again. In my Recovery Screen there is a message showing E: Can't open /cache/recovery/command.
And i have no toggle options in my recovery. just Reboot system now Apply update from SD card Wipe data/factory reset Wipe cache partition.

I was playing around with my phone today, just trying to create a cool symmetrical pattern on my droid. Mind you this was just on the screen where after about 5 tries it locks you out for 30secs. So i keep playing around with it and than the email and password screen shows up, saying i have to log in. Alrite sure, so I just put in my credentials and it fails.
Things I have tried:
1. @gmail.com, @googleemail.com
2. password null
3. case sensitive
4. playing around with people calling me and emergency dialer, etc.
5. changed password
6. battery pulls..............

I have recently installed Facebook Application for my Tablet PC. It is working on 2.2.2 Anroid version and Facebook app version is 2.3
When I enter my info it says that Login failed and that the operation timed out (after I hit the Login button, the error appears after cca. 15 seconds).
I am using pretty good Wi-Fi connection to connect my Tablet to the internet, so I don't think that it's up to my connection. I tried already with clearing data, uninstalling, rebooting and reinstalling, but it didn't work.

I have a webview in my app that generally works fine for loading websites. But I cannot get www.gmail.com to work: when I open www.gmail.com I see the login page, try to login, afterwards the screen goes black and my app/process is killed. I don't see much in my logcat, just some strange debug information is being dumped as below. But generally https sites work fine, and even more complicated login procedures like opening stackoverflow.com, logging in via openid through https, back to stackoverflow, all work without a problem in my webview. Only gmail.com is giving me these problems.......

I managed to create the logic for the function but I have no idea how to match it with the database. I only know how to do it the hardcoding way.
Below is how I did it. I believe an sql statement should be inserted there am I right? And I know I missed out something. Before I match the username and password, I should check whether the user exist in the database first, and then check whether the password match with the username.
So in conclusion I need help on the 'if else' statement.

I've downloaded a few networking apps (games) that have you log in, then take you to a "home" type screen where you can change your settings, or start a new game, or view your buddies etc.My question is two-part:
1) how are these "multipanel" apps created? Is each panel its own activity? I've tried adding different panels through Views, but on the apps I described above, when I hit the back button on my phone, it takes me to the previous screen and in my apps, it just takes me out of the app when I hit back (again I'll I've done are add separate views). Can someone point me in the right direction of what I need to do to create a multipanel application that when I click a button, a new panel loads, then when I hit back on the phone, it takes me to the previous panel?
2) one of my panels will be a login page which I will post the log-in credentials via http post to my server for authentication. I would like to remember the log-in "token" that is passed back to the client so they don't have to log in every time they use my application. Again, referring to some of the apps that I have, they offer this feature but I can not locate anything on the phone where it would be saved. Is this done with xml usually?

I am noticing that when I attempt to send mail using the Gmail, it is stuck in a SENDING status. I am unable to send anything using that, but everything else such as FROM MY PHONE, Picasa, FB, it works fine.I know I am logged in correctly cause I am getting my emails when they hit my inbox, and I get notified, but when trying to send.

In the past few days, ive noticed that when i delete an email on my phone, it doesnt actually delete it from my gmail, as i can still log into my computer and the emails are still there and unread. Then i noticed today that i cant send email from the phone. I have 2 emails that have been "sending" for the past hour. Ive tried both over 3g and wifi, neither worked. Im on the 9/25 nightly, a somewhat recent gapps (not sure of the date), but just upgraded the gmail through the market. Any ideas?

Has anyone else had issues with contact data not getting synced back up to the cloud ? I have lost contact information twice (once going to Galaxy, and again when coming back to TW for the update). I have Exchange email configured as well, but none of my contacts reside in that "addressbook" as far as I can tell everything should be being saved back to Google. I have contacts that exist on in Google (verified from my computer) that I updated phone numbers for that disappeared after I did a factory wipe. My sync settings are all checked and from everything I can tell I should be syncing continuously. Clearly I must be missing something, but I have no idea what it is. That "data in the cloud" safety net has not worked for me twice and I'd like not to get burned again.

I was composing a message and the phone got stuck when I was about to select the recipients. (Wanted to group send message so that's why I was not answering directly.) After waiting for a while the phone was still not responding then I forced to shut down and turned it on again. Okay I again edited the same text and tap to choose receivers. Good grief! NO CONTACTS! EMPTY! Why? What happened?
I first tried to sync Gmail contacts back to my Sony Xperia, however when I logged in to Gmail and it was the same! NO CONTACTS!
Long story short, I finally found Myjad Android Contact Recovery which seems to be useful because I want simply the contacts. So any example of trying successfully restoring lost contacts with this program?

Got the new incredible. Coming from a razr have to say, it's pretty incredible.
I'm having problems getting into the app store.
I have a google account, can log into google mail. Have confirmed on a PC I'm using the right user/pass. If I enter wrong the incred does say user/pass does not match.
When I enter correctly, no errors, just takes me to a quick setup then back to a log in.
Done it 20 times, no joy.
Even tried a new account, then hit with 'errors with google servers, try again later'

im not an expert on how push email works, but my understanding is that gmail messages should appear on my phone without me having to refresh or manually sync the gmail app. for a reason unknown to me, sometimes this works and sometimes it doesnt. at night, i shut down wifi and the mobile network to conserve battery and start up the mobile network when i leave for work in the morning. i get notification of new yahoo email, thru the htc widget, almost instantaneously, yet gmail doesnt come thru until i manually sync the gmail app. then during the course of the day, sometimes gmail messages get pushed right thru and other times not at all until i manually sync the app. meanwhile my yahoo mail comes thru flawlessly.
considering gmail is supposed to push and the htc widget does not, this is the opposite of what i expect. as far as settings, i have auto sync enabled for both the device and for the gmail app. while i always assume user error until proven otherwise, in this instance i think i have all the correct settings, which makes sense considering sometimes gmail does get pushed. its just erratic and unpredictable. anybody got any ideas what's going on here?

i'm trying to add a 2nd gmail account through the gmail app. it goes through the entire process, goes to the sync page and allows me to select what i wish to sync up then gives me a confirmation that the account has been added but when i go to the gmail app and check accounts it still only lists the 1 original account. i've tried powering the phone off and restarting - also added the account via HTC email app and deleted the 2nd account via HTC email app just in case it was conflicting there
