HTC Incredible :: Login Failed For Gmail
Aug 24, 2010The gmail on my HTC Incredible phone had been working perfectly for 4 months on Verizon, but recently the Gmail has basically stopped working. All it says is "login failed" whenever I try to refresh. I deleted the accounts and tried to re-add them, but now it still says "login failed." It seemed to be working when it was only connected to the WIFI, but now that's not working either. I can log in without a problem to my internet based gmail?

Do any of the emulators support hdmi out/tv out? Is there any android device the supports tv out for its home screen and all apps? If not when will we get any of this?

Apr 30, 2010Does anyone else use Gdocs with Inc? Loaded the app, get the log in screen but then get "Login Failed! Do you want to save this account?" Is this problem limited to the Inc because I never had a problem with my Moto Droid and Eris. I also get the 3 options..... "Use Secure Server, This is the Google Apps account and Use this account as default". I tried multiple combinations of checking and unchecking these items with no luck.

May 1, 2010So I downloaded GV (Google Voice Dialer) and it always says "login failed." I know the app is no longer official supported but wondered if anyone else had this issue or if they could successfully log on. Kind of sucks because it looks like this is the only app that will route through Google Voice (without adds or dialing your GV number then PIN then #2 before making a call) unlike Flex Dialer.

Jun 9, 2010I was wondering about internet browsers and their capability in displaying certain content on web pages. I go back and forth between the stock internet browser that came with the Evo and Xscope Browser. I noticed two things, on that it doesn't display animation on GIFs. I wanted to know, is there a plug-in one can download or a browser that would run the animation on the page? The reason I ask is because right now I can�t tell the difference between a JPEG and GIF on the page when it loads up. Its only when I decide to download it that it displays the extension. My second question is about playing Quicktime files on trailer websites that run QT. I can�t play these back. Is there a plug-in or browser that I can use to play those videos on my Evo?

Jun 21, 2010Periodically I change my passwords and yesterday after doing so, and updating my htc mail settings I cannot access my mail. I am getting an error saying authentication failed. It had worked perfectly fine then several hours later I got the message when I went to check my mail - actually the lack of. Because I had noticed gmail notifier updating my mail on my computer but nothing on my phone.
I read elsewhere to try it on just a 3g connection, or going to wifi, neither worked. I have deleted the account, and tried setting it up from scratch to no avail. The gmail stock app works, I just like the mail widget from htc.

I have run a full system scan and changed my password etc. However, I can no longer access my hotmail account on my HTC Desire via the Mail icon - I keep getting a "login failed" message. On a daily basis I will toggle between 4 different home screens, 3 different music players, 4 different internet browsers various wallpapers, various weather widgets. I'm sure if I was able to settle one having the same layout on a daily basis I wouldn't be charging my phone 2 times a day.

Aug 27, 2010When I go to Settings -> Accounts & Sync -> Facebook, it required me to log in. I enter THE CORRECT information, and yet it pop up with a little error saying "Login failed. try again"
I'v tried this over 100 times I swear..I have tried turning Wifi on and off, Sync on and off, removed Facebook app, rebooting the phone, changing the password of my Facebook account and signing in on a desktop PC and deleting "Samsung Mobile" from Application Settings.. General :: Sensation 4G Failed Signature Login / When Trying To Update
Mar 22, 2012I am trying to install sensation 3.3.401 but after i go to recovery and apply update from SD card it gives me E:signature verification failed installation aborted. It does nothing when i wipe cache or factory reset.when I reboot or turn on my phone it pops the HTC logo followed by another HTC logo and a restart over and over again. In my Recovery Screen there is a message showing E: Can't open /cache/recovery/command.
And i have no toggle options in my recovery. just Reboot system now Apply update from SD card Wipe data/factory reset Wipe cache partition.
HTC Hero : Receiving Emails - Always Seemed To Work Fine
Apr 6, 2010I've set up Hotmail to be the default email account and has always seemed to work fine (although the sync doesn't always work - when read on the phone, then deleted on a computer, this is not reflected on phone, if that makes sense). However, recently have been having problems receiving emails. I've tried entering the password again; even tried deleting the account and re-setting it up. The former doesn't make any difference. The latter seems to work the first time (with every email coming up unread), but subsequently fails to refresh with new emails.

Aug 6, 2010I was playing around with my phone today, just trying to create a cool symmetrical pattern on my droid. Mind you this was just on the screen where after about 5 tries it locks you out for 30secs. So i keep playing around with it and than the email and password screen shows up, saying i have to log in. Alrite sure, so I just put in my credentials and it fails.

Mar 30, 2013I have recently installed Facebook Application for my Tablet PC. It is working on 2.2.2 Anroid version and Facebook app version is 2.3
When I enter my info it says that Login failed and that the operation timed out (after I hit the Login button, the error appears after cca. 15 seconds).
I am using pretty good Wi-Fi connection to connect my Tablet to the internet, so I don't think that it's up to my connection. I tried already with clearing data, uninstalling, rebooting and reinstalling, but it didn't work.
Android :: Application Does Not Work When On 3G.On WiFi Works Fine
Aug 16, 2010I have application that communicates with web server through REST. It works fine on a phone when connected via WiFi but does not work correctly when on 3G.
Not everything stops working. I'm still able to use some functionality but for some reason some calls to rest return "" (empty response) very quickly. Once again when I'm on WiFi everything works fine.
Just to clarify:
1. I have data plan :)
2. Server I'm connecting to is accessible from Internet

Nov 24, 2009In my application users take photos with an Activity that implements SurfaceHolder.Callback. The uri.toString() is then passed as an extra to a subsequent Activity that displays the image. All fine, except for in Android 1.6 the jpgs on the sdcard have a strange noise when looking at them through mac finder or win explorer after mounting the sdcard. The images have purple and yellow stripes on their upper half. Fine on camera gallery.

May 14, 2010I've seen a LOT of apps crashing since I got this phone. In the 2 years I had my blackberry, I never saw a program crash. It seems to be common place with android. A few of my apps crash at random, but lately, my gmail app is crashing consistently, even when I'm not using it. This is unacceptable; it's a google phone for crying out loud! It just crashed about 15 times in a row just 5 minutes ago no joke. Crash...force close...crash...force close.Then it says "Err1" on top of the gmail app icon.

But I cannot get www.gmail.com to work: when I open www.gmail.com I see the login page, try to login, afterwards the screen goes black and my app/process is killed. I don't see much in my logcat, just some strange debug information is being dumped as below. But generally https sites work fine, and even more complicated login procedures like opening stackoverflow.com, logging in via openid through https, back to stackoverflow, all work without a problem in my webview. Only gmail.com is giving me these problems.......

Apr 27, 2009I have a requirement to play several sounds many times in my game so instead of creating the MediaPlayer again and again I have called mp.seekTo(0) in onCompletion(mp) so that it will restart. Sometimes the sound is not audible from the device when I call mp.start () after setting mp.seekTo(0); but the player calls onCompletion() without playing any sound, this is observed randomly on most of the sounds
My sounds are of short duration mostly less than a second.
I am using a separate MediaPlayer for each sound (as I need this) -
There are almost 28 sounds in my game so i will be creating 28 MediaPlayers.

Also If I try to play many sounds one after the other in a short period of time i get an error saying "no more track names available". can u tell Why this is happening...?

Jan 17, 2010My Gmail account works great, and I have my aol and yahoo acounts set up no problem (well the yahoo was a little problem but got it to work so thats all that matters). I have 2 other email accounts that no matter what I do I can not get them to work. One is my works email which is handled by a company called network solutions. I can get the incoming server setup fine but I can not get the outgoing to work. The other is my school email which is some sort of msn email account variation (username@email.itt-tech.edu which i log into through msn.com). I cant get anything to work for this accuont.
